I was a hotel manager for years. There is literally no reason to refuse a guest **who's standing in front of you** a room if that room is ready even if it's before check-in. The only reason to refuse is to try to squeeze that early check-in fee out of you. That certainly shows the type of attitude that Caesars is okay with displaying to its guests. MGM is by no means perfect but at least they know enough to not be so blatant about their greed lol
Exactly! I’ve never been asked to pay early check in at any MGM property, I didn’t even know it was a thing lol. I’ve checked in early every time I’ve gone too
I feel you! MGM FTW!
Yeah thats the only disadvantage
And then MGM said "hold my beer"
What I appreciate so much Jay is your honest, upfront reviews for those of us who aren’t in Vegas or other cities as often as some other travelers.
You do the work many of us need to not only find value, but also the best!
Thank you!
Thanks! I try to offer a wide variety of content while staying informative. 🙏🏽
Jay Jay keeping it real, appreciate the honest review, you're really cranking out the content, on your way to 100k,
Thanks Phil! Gotta give the details!
Jay,
This is a solid hotel review!! I usually stay at MGM and Venetian properties and love them. Thank you for letting us know all the deets on Harrahs
Thanks for the review! I don't want to waist my vacation time with those kinds of problems. Thanks to Norma for showing your channel to me. I like your honesty. I've watched other channel and stayed where they recommended and had bad experiences. The plaza! So it's hard to trust certain channels.
Thanks! I try to stay positive but when things go wrong, i have to point it out. 👍🏾
Thanks so much for this video. We have not stayed at a Caesars property in over 10 years so we were not aware of the later check in. We are used to getting early check ins from MGM hotels so this will definitely be an adjustment.
Jay, look into collapsible silicone cups. This is what I use to make tea in my hotel room (and for wine at night). They are heat resistant, lightweight, and take up little room.
Thanks for the rec Felicia! Ill check out those cups
I stayed at Harrahs in July and enjoyed it. Such a great location. Love that the Starbucks is on site too. ❤
So glad u had a great time!
I haven’t had that great of an experience staying at Harrah’s. Once stuck in the elevator, and another time there was a shooting right outside the doors.
Yeah the front can get shady at times. Stuck in the elevator is no bueno
The Palazzo also let's you in early and slip in a $20 you may get your resort fees waived. I am speaking from experience
Ohh nice! Resorts Fees waved FTW!
they need to bring back the Flavor's Buffet
Nice video Jay, I haven’t stayed in Harrah’s in Vegas as yet. However I walked through the Casino, and it looked alright.
Its decent!
Jay, you're a pro at what you do compared to a lot of the other so called "Vegas" influencers.
Awesome job jay thumb up
Thanks bro!
No problem jay
Great content.🥰 I won’t stay at a Harrah’s hotel then. Seems like the only good thing for me is that there’s a Starbucks on their property. Ty for sharing. Enjoyed it.
Nice homage to Junior Seau!
RIP 55 🙏🏽
Agree with u fully on your review. We love Vegas and visit often, trying new hotels each time. We stayed about a month ago, couldn't believe the cost of early check-in. We could hear our neighbors pretty clearly, 2 elevators out of service, and the casino floor was super smoky. Location was great and the vibe was fun though.
Caesars is kinda terrible for check in stuff. Only thing is they give comp rooms like candy on weekdays with so little play.
That being said stayed at Caesars Palace waited almost 2 hours in line for check in at 3:30pm. Watched the entire Hangover movie on my phone.
Thanks for the video Jay. Going forward I think from now on I'm staying at MGM properties
I never have had elevator issues. I used to avoid harrahs due to the smell lol but harrahs has grown on me. I think it’s a good choice for a north end budget property
When we stayed at Park MGM in November we got to check in early no charge without a digital room key. We also saw Tapeface when we were there and he was pretty funny. We got the cheapest tickets but got sat in premium seats due to it not being a sold out show.
Thats why i love MGM properties. Early check in
Yeah, I rented a room there on a layover to L.A. because it was cheap. But would not stay there on vacation. Love your videos by the way!❤
Yeah, anymore than a night IDK!
the harrahs in atlantic city is pure class!
Shame about the issues you had, good job it was just the one night, thanks for the info, really appreciate all the help you give to help us make the right decisions 👍
Thanks! Yeah it was just unfortunate timing maybe
Stayed at Harrah's once back in 2004. It was OK. The room was a bit dark because the room had a small window. I prefer floor to ceiling windows for more light. Your room had floor to ceiling windows, looks bright so I like it but do not like the closet in the bathroom. Prefer it be outside of the bathroom.
Great honest review Jay.
Forgot to mention. Drew Brees' restaurant used to be Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill.
Thanks! Drew Brees restaurant is so hidden haha
I’ll be at Harris in march. Man bro thanks for all the heads up .Lol I just might change my reservation back to the flamingo
Flamingo may be a better choice i like it there
We are gonna get you over that 100k this year!! Yea I don't know what the deal with Harrah's. Way down my list. I stayed @ the LinQ and thought it was just ok as well. I need to get into the MGM ecosystem and try them as well. Looking forward to finding out how to get to the 3Rd Tier on Caesars.
I sure hope we get there! Yeah Harrahs feels like a hit or miss hotel
I was there in December. It was about the same. It was the location that did it for me. My favorite is Mandalay Bay so far.
This is another hotel that I've walked past many times but never went inside, so thanks for the tour Jay. Also, I had no idea that Drew Brees owns a restaurant in Vegas! Lol.
Same here! Didnt even know that restaurant existed
Seems like a cool property for everything except a hotel stay! I love having Gold Rewards at MGM for the free parking (Pearl or higher) and the waived resorts fees at any MGM Property! Take any of the paper cups you don't use, to use at properties that don't have them. I drive to Vegas and keep extra things like that, I might need in my car and anything I buy or I'm done with, goes in the car.
That elevator situation seems terrible, to be that slow!
I watched this video *before* Norma's. 😆 I've stayed at Harrah's twice since the renovations. Harrah's was way worse before the renos. In those two times since, they've never had a room ready at check in. I got two queens instead of a single king the first time, and I got a single king instead of a single queen the second time. Won the second time! 😀 The coffee maker in the room is actually up in the air. I didn't have a coffee maker with either of the post-renovation stays. 😞 Great review! Okay, I'm gonna watch Norma's video now. 🤣
Yeah Harrahs seems like its hit or miss haha
I'm sorry you had a subpar experience. The price was reasonable. About a year ago my brother, my cousin and his wife stayed there for 4 nights. They had no major complaints and basically used the rooms for sleeping.
I bet if i didnt check in right at 4pm i wouldve avoided it
You should make a list of the hotels that don't have coffee makers in the room and then top 10 hotels that do have coffee makers. I know the Silver Legacy in Reno which is part of Ceasars does have the Keurig and Starbucks K-Cups. You need a blog and an email list and start making affiliate income off referrals and use the $ to travel.
Good video. We have NEVER paid early check fees at Cosmo, Palazzo or Bellagio. We have checked in as early as 9 am and have be given a room within an hour. Never stayed at an Caesar's properties
Yup! Mgm properties hook it up
Didn't they just do a $250M renovation there at Harrah's in the last couple of years?
Honestly, as long as the rooms are clean and the shower works fine, I'm good. My son and I are staying there in a few weeks for his Bday weekend. We just wanted to be closer to the Strip and we got the room for free with Caesar's Rewards, so we're cool with it.
I am flying to Vegas on Sunday for a week. Might bump into Jay
Say hello if u spot me!
We stay here a lot and avoid checking in at 4:00. Pay extra for early check in OR just check in after 5:30.
Id check in later but i needed to get to my room asap
hi Jay, will be staying at harrahs in september. would your recommendation on restraurants close by. thank you.
Yes, Diamond card makes a difference. I get Diamond at Harrah’s So Cal. The trick is going on 5 times tier days. You make Diamond quick. Then I never pay resort fees in Vegas. There is a 5x Feb 23-25 if interested in So Cal. Im already booked to go.
Nice! I just got diamond! Bye bye hotel fees haha
If you said it was blue, I'd believe it. Appreciate you, Jay!
Lol its blue!
@@Jaycation I believe ya!
Thanks for taking one for the team, Jay. I always admire how you are willing to stay at the least glamorous, Budget Vegas hotels to entertain and inform us Jaycationers
Gotta cover all ranges of hotels! U just wont catch me at a travelodge 🤣
I always eat at Ruth Chris steakhouse in LV. Have you stayed in the bigger Harrah's suites? Those look very nice.
❤❤❤

When I read the title of this Vlog I was like, Nooooo! I'm staying there next month when I go see Taylor Swift. But then I remembered how much fun I had there last February. I had the best time at that X Country Burlesque Show then at The Piano Bar then stumbling over to Pizza Cake for a Pepperoni Slice and a Vanilla Cake in the early am. It's gonna be alright!.
Haha u should be ok. I guess just a series of unfortunate events happened to me that day
Yeah I agree i would not stay at Harrah's. The whole Caesars check in policy is dumb. Everyone else let's you check in at 3. Tropicana let me check in before 2 because the room was ready. So with waiting that extra hour lines form.
They need to get at MGMs level
What’s the best hotel rooms , amongst .. harrahs , Paris , ballys & planet Hollywood.. ? Thx
I wish all the rooms had fridges there but not all
Thats what i heard!
Planut Hollywood tried every scam or cut every service, even room service. The concierge phone button predial option reaches the Philippines, then on hold forever, then told "we no longer have concierge services", same with front desk button. "sorry but front desk doesn't even take our call transfers".. "advise walking over to it on your own from your room".
Balleys/Horshoe, same owner, totally better experience.
To their credit, Harrah’s is located pretty central regarding the Strip
Yeah super central! Wish there was a newer property where its located
What's the name of the coffee machine you have? And where can I buy it from??
Mini Keurig from amazon!
in your opinion after caesars number 1 what is the second best resort in vegas
Jay, I drink decaf. I’m trustworthy 🎰🎲❤️
Haha! Im just playin
How about a TI report?
You Jay jay.
On jaaaayyycation
Harrah's LV used to be my place! But, that was when they had Toby Keith's. I used to party it up at TK's and/or the Carnival Bar outside, then all I had to do was stumble over to the elevator & go up to my room. When Harrah's lost Toby Keith's, and when the Linq Promenade went in, I gravitated over to the Linq Hotel Casino or Flamingo's because they are closer to my hangout areas. I do wander back in to Harrah's because I like singing karaoke in the Dueling Piano Bar!
Anyone aware do hotels treat businesses travelers different than the vacation travelers? I have zero choice where staying because asdociated with a conference Curious if experience totally different. 🤔
U should be fine!
Great honest review. Seems mediocre. Thanks!
Mediocre for sure!
Do you bring your own Keurig?
Always does
I do!
Love it
Slowest elevators in all of Vegas? I think that title should go to the Linq Hotel.
Do you need a reservation for Ramsay's Kitchen?
I have stayed at Harrahs a few times and it's cheap so it's about location!
First
Winner!
Is it take the name Harrah's away from that blue globe, it looks like the death star from Star Wars. That's why I call them "The Evil Empire".
Haha and the real death star, allegiant stadium is right across the street
WOW, you may have just saved a friend of mine from staying at this place. THANKS!
Haha not all experiences will be bad but just a heads up!
Resorts will push the check in time to 5pm… and check out will shrink to 9am. Just watch…
Then throw on a fee to get you to what was a normal check in and check out time… Caesars just sucks period. Never in my life have I been charged a fee at MGM properties or Wynn.
That is just sad that they are gouging people.
No tubs, thin walls, tiny rooms. Not worth the hassle.
If you want to get Diamond status for a few hundred bucks then let me know and I can send you a referral. It will save you on resort fees and also get you the $100.00 Diamond dining credit.
Yup! I just got diamond… so excited
Founders Club $395.00 a year will get you Diamond and they give you a 100 gift card and then the ceasers annual dining credit of 100 makes it $195 a year to have Diamond status.
Vegas has a lot of fees, hotel room, resort fee, parking fee, early check-in fee. Want to see a show? There's a ticket fee, ticket servicing fee, and other fees. If you don't tip, see if you get services. Think you can win by gambling? You got big dreams. I went to Vegas eight times in 2022, it was great, I got the t-shirt to show for it, but I am done.
Lol well that was a turn off
Worst stay I've ever had !! Total waste of money.
