You should get some of those qrcode tags so you walk by and scan the code with your phone and it shows the name and picture. And when you get ready to dig and store you can put the tag with tubers to make it easier to plan where they go next year! And if you use your big crates for more than one variety you can use a big piece of cardboard as a divider.
This is why I love your channel. You do the work. You are organized. You talk about issues with honesty and solutions. Your product recommendations are so helpful. The FELCO gloves for doing thorny projects saved my hands today. You are not whiney when challenges are there. You have a bunch of info and present it in an accessible way. The music is varied, soothing and conducive. Family, animals- much appreciated. Creative- and you spark this in us viewers. Not a lot of excess talking and the talking is informative. Plus you have a wonderful vocabulary. May we just say thanks? Thanks!
Laura, you made us laugh this morning. You enjoyed your raspberries lol! So cute. And it was amazing getting an up close look at your dahlias, thank you. Your grass pathways are so nice and pleasing to the eye. What a fun way to start the day 40 minute walk, breakfast & coffee watching Garden Answer. The Best!
Laura - I always enjoy your, “Hey guys, how’s it going”. But, honestly, your sign off - “Thanks for watching this video, I hope you enjoyed it” - how could we not?! I’ve seen *almost* every single GA video and yes, love, I enjoy them all.
A couple of questions: You went back to the auger, did you not like the stick thing, and how often will you water the garlic during the winter? People are going to miss you not having a free flower day. The dahlias are beautiful this year. I think Clyde's Choice is my favorite. I love the color.
The view over the dahlias to the garden flower shed looks so lovely. I'm always impressed how you remember all the names of the varieties you have and seeing the many varieties in one garden.
I see that you still used the auger instead of the wooden thing , lol . I think your garden is so relaxing even looking at it thru a screen . My coffee and garden answer is a great start to any day . I can’t believe that you’re still picking strawberries 🍓! Enjoy you certainly do have a gift which I’m sure you don’t think you do , but you do !!! Have been watching for years . Thank you for all your information that you give us . Enjoy your day ❤
Love your channel and you are such an inspiration to all of us. I love the variety of videos you post and some of my favorite are at your parent’s garden center and your property is amazing! Do you naturally have the motivation to do everything you do? I struggle with being motivated and you seem to be always positive and excited about all your projects. I also love that Aaron is contributing more to your recap videos. Love to see how you interact with each other ❤
Good morning, Laura, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b ❤ Great to follow you around doing your morning chores. Those Dalhias are To Die For! Happy Gardening Everyone 👩🌾👍 ❤Peggy❤
@Meems56 Good morning 👍 I've been watching Laura since May of 2016 and, yes, she's wonderful. She inspired me to start my own garden channel back in 2020, at age 70! I love getting people out of their chairs to grow flowers, veggies and raise worms to grow better soil. Thanks for saying hi 👋
I realize most viewers start their day, watching your videos in the morning---but oh the joys of ending my day (actually late at night) with your gorgeous flowers. Sweet dreams for sure.
I turned 40 this year and decided to start a flower farm with a roadside flower stand next year. Eek! I had never heard of dahlias until I started watching your videos years ago and I have fallen in love hard. I wish I lived closer to you and could help divide the tubers to learn. I've watched your videos on how to divide and store the tubers and it has been so helpful. Thank you so much for inspiring us to try new things and grow everything. ❤
The large yellow dahlia at 19:43 is Kelvin Floodlight. I have these and they are my grandkids favorite as they get a kick out of how big they are "Look grandma it's as big as my head" :)
Laura I had my first dahlia this year it was magnificent. Plan more and more for next year. My Zinnias were exploding. I used them on a cake for a shower this weekend. My kitchen and bedroom were decorated every week. Thank for displaying yours today. I can’t wait for garden answer every day. Glad you take off every Saturday for family. Those little one, love what you do for them. Children deserve the outdoors.
Oh my gosh your flowers are amazing! My daughter loves the cut flower garden I start for her each year. It would be so special to get some of your Dahlias to put in her garden.
Hey Guys!!! I been following your channel when you first moved in to this beautiful home! But out of curiosity. I never see videos of Laura unboxing gifts from people all around the world anymore!!! Why not!!! I loved them!!!
I love the close up footage of Laura picking berries. Hopefully next year you can do the flower giveaway, especially to the assisted living residence and elderly shut in’s. Benjamin’s smile when he handed out flowers or put on neighbor’s doorsteps last year was precious. Princess Samantha is old enough to join next time! ❤❤❤ Thank you GA Team!!! 😊😊
gorgeous Dahlias! I get so bummed when you don't stop and show the beautiful burgundy ones! They're my favorite . I haven't grown Dahlias because they are so much work, but you could convince me when I see these beautiful show stopping blooms.
You should never feel that you are acting like that. When you are giving away your beautiful flowers to people, you are generously giving out gifts to help someone feel blessed. Always love watching, thank you.❤ God bless and be safe 🙏 ❤️
Gorgeous Dahlias. So interesting to see how they are labeled and tagged to get ready for storage. Planting garlic, so informative. The flower garden is perfection❤
Your Dahlias are so beautiful!! I can't get enough of them. Mine don't do much in the Tropcs. Those Dinner plates make me catch my breath. Thanks so much for sharing!❤❤❤
Thank you Laura & Aaron for all you do ! One question, since it’s fall & your drip tubing is off in your raised beds, how often will you water your garlic crop ? Thank you & God Bless ! 🙏❤️🙏
I'm not as knowledgeable as Laura but I do grow a couple thousand garlic each year so I think I can help with this question! 😊 It's the wet season during winter where I live, so I basically don't water all winter. They grow very very slowly during winter, so they don't need a lot of water. Lightly damp is all they need during winter (though they can handle plenty of moisture as long as they're well-drained). When I plant them in autumn, I water when I plant them, then I usually can forget about them until spring. If it's really dry for an extended period in autumn/winter and the soil is drying right out, then give them a drink. Other than that, I don't really start watering until spring, when their growth starts going bonkers. But if I get occasional rain during spring, then I don't worry about watering at all. They're a great crop coz they're so stinkin easy to grow. Just make sure there's zero competition (no weeds, no grass) or your bulbs will be tiny. Garlic doesn't like competition. Besides that, just make sure the soil isn't desert and you'll be good! 😄
Good morning, I could have looked at the flowers all day! Thank you for showing the flowers up close...really gorgeous. It's always so relaxing to be in the garden with you! Thank you. 😊Have a really beautiful rest of the day & week!
Yay! A tour of the dahlias :) digging and dividing that many tubers is a daunting task but when you are standing in the middle of all that beauty, totally worth it!
I'm planting garlic for the first time this year and really appreciated this video! But my favorite things were the dahlias and zinnias. Oh my, to be in a patch of those beauties! How beautiful😊
What I'd give for red raspberries. Most of time they're moldy in stores. I buy frozen for jams. Your so sweet about the raspberries. Just makes a person's day. Thank you so much. bless you. you.
Perhaps it would be good idea to plant the dinner plate dahlias in your flower beds instead of with the cut flower garden. That way you can enjoy them just to look at in your borders. Still can't get over how beautiful your dahlias grow! It's definitely the right climate for them! ❤
Oh my 😮😮😮😊😊💓🌸 what a dream to be surrounded by so many beautiful flowers. They're so beautiful. 😍 great to see how garlic is planted. Those raspberries look yummy
The dahlias are so beautiful! So happy to hear the thrips have gone elsewhere. The Berries you harvested look so good. I'm sure you and the family will enjoy them. It's terrific that you are reaping the rewards of your hard work.🍁🍂🐈
I'm impressed that you can remember all of the variety names of the Dahlias, and keep them in order. If I grew them, they'd be one big, hot mess! Great work ♥♥
After a long day of sad news of the world I was able to take my mind off of things for a bit by watching this video, thank you so much, it was wonderful to see so many beautiful flowers!!!
I always enjoy the tour of your cut flower garden. Because of drought conditions I decided to tear out the lawns front and back. The mature fir trees dropped so many needles and made it difficult for the grass to grow no matter how much water it got. I converted all the lawn sprayers over to drip and even with all I have planted I use far less water than when I had lawns. I'd decided I wanted a pollinator garden and after one of your Dahlia videos I started my own patch along with perennials for the bees and birds. I got a bit carried away and after filling one area with Dahlia's I put in a planter for some of the overflow and then started planting them throughout the garden. I got into seed starting after another of your videos and have a yard full of flowers I started. I take cut flowers to neighbors, family and to the doctors when I have an appointment. The flowers never fail to make people smile....
I’m always amazed by your ability to identify so many plants. Every dahlia you showed us was beautiful. It would be impossible for me to pick my favorite.
Hi Laura, still have to get my garlic in the ground! I’m hoping the first decent day as we have had a lot of rain! I am thankful to have only about a seven Dahlias to label and dig, happy for you it will be a team effort! 🌸🌸🌸
Morning all from Southern Illinois zone 6. Beautiful sunny brisk fall day with the high in lower 60’s. Out I go to plant some bulbs today and put a few hostas and heucheras from pots before the cold comes.
Good morning everyone 🌻🌞 Have a blessed day ❤🤗 Gorgeous flowers! Dahlias and zinnias are so beautiful even though October! I waited to buy some because we moved but so many to buy for a yard that has no flowers but a neglected butterfly bush and a knock out rose....
In the first few years I threw a lot of organic flowerseeds for wildlife around. It's a lot of work and money to fill in your garden at once. This way I had flowers for months and the bees and butterflies loved it. Slowely I'm adding more plants, but the flowers and wildlife come back every year 😊.
Oh I would love to have some tubers. My granddaughter made a few arrangements with my dahlias and took to her boyfriend’s grandmother. That was the main reason I planted them so we could enjoy those beautiful flowers together. Each time she made an arrangement she took a picture and sent me or either I would go down and look at it in person. Mine are doing better right now since it has cooled off a little. Thanks for sharing all your tips on raising dahlias. Pat in North Carolina
Am in 7b and I didn't dig it up last year my first time planting, now it's blooming none stop didn't buy too much because it was a trial for me , now am in love 😊
Love seeing the flower garden still flourishing. It does take time to adjust to the changing seasons. I think I say goodbye and thank you to all in my garden, till next spring. Thank you Garden Answer for inspiring me to create.
Hi Laura, My mom used to be able to grow anything. She knew the names of all her plants and had a green thumb like you. Me? Not so much, but I'm trying. You give me so much inspiration on a daily basis. Thank you!
🌺🌼🌸Excellent idea of a dahlia giveaway! I'm sure your subs would love to grow them from Laura's dahlia patch! AND you could ask the recipients to send pics of the dahlias growing in their gardens. How fun! 🌺🌼🌸
Hi I got a great knowledge from you about garlic and other gardening I hadn't ever seen such a hard working lady at garden your garden is so so fabulous
Pooh and Giggles Dahlias, with their wide open-faced central disc are more attractive and accessible to pollinators than the other Dahlias constructed with many layers of petals I believe. I learned this while researching the best Zinnias for pollinators, as the same premise would apply. All of the Dahlia are gorgeous! 😊
Please, please , please; plant a weeping willow tree close by your pond. Imagine how lovely when the tree reaches full maturity and a gentle breeze blows it’s soft branches out over the pond.
How fun it would be to have all those beautiful blooms to pick from, for bouquets 💐 to put in the house 🏠!!! Enjoy seeing your beautiful gardens ,daily with a cup of coffee ☕️, usually 😊!
Good morning Laura and family Cut Flower Garden is beautiful love alk those colors I'm ready to plant my garlic. Thanks for sharing, have a wonderful rest of the day 👋🙂🍓
Hi Laura! Thank you so much for taking us along to watch the garlic planting. Does garlic need any additional fertilizer/compost in the spring? Thank you so much, and I find such peace with all your videos. :)
🌻Good day everyone! I hope you all have a great start to a new week. Happy Fall 🍁🧡🍂
Thanks and enjoy the rest of your week!
Good morning!
To you too!🍁☕️💛

I just wondered the same about the stick / auger!
I think she needed the auger to get a better reach on digging the holes to put in the garlic 🧄🧄
The dahlias are beautiful!! I think it's so cool that you're still picking from your berry patches!
The view over the dahlias to the garden flower shed looks so lovely. I'm always impressed how you remember all the names of the varieties you have and seeing the many varieties in one garden.

Oh my! I just want to walk around in your cut flower garden. I could spend hours in there just admiring all the beautiful flowers. How beautiful. 💗
Yes! Yes! A giveaway of tubers would be fantastic.
Yes! Do a giveaway! Not because I want to leech off of you, but to have a piece of Laura’s garden would be amazing 🫶

Part of it may be there are going to work like we all do. But there sure seem to really enjoy it.
Thank you for explaining things SO so well to us newbies to gardening. Love your channel and your chosen music always. You're so good together ❤
What a charming shot going through the dahlia beds where the path is basically non-existent. It’s like a meadow of beauty surrounding you!
Where there were three Lauras picking raspberries, I wished I could have just one for just two weeks to work in my garden. 😊❤️
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
Good morning, Laura, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b ❤
Great to follow you around doing your morning chores. Those Dalhias are To Die For!

I am hoping to grow some dahlias for the next season. I am not sure which variety
The segment pertaining to dahlias was glorious! A symbol that there can be peace on earth! Thank you, Laura, for sharing these with all of us!❤❤❤

Good morning, Laura ☕️ The Dahlias are all so gorgeous! 😍 Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
Could sit by your Dahlia area all day just enjoying the burst of color and watching pollinators harvest! 💜

Careful, spammer in the comments! Btw I’ve grown my own garlic for years it’s shockingly easy, give it a try! ❤
Gorgeous Dahlias. So interesting to see how they are labeled and tagged to get ready for storage. Planting garlic, so informative. The flower garden is perfection❤

Such gorgeous Dalias! I was like, “where’s Laura?” It is amazing to see the amount of fruit you are getting in October. Great video!
My cosmos are blooming like crazy.

I have a gorgeous grape purple dahlia with white tips. Dahlias have quickly became my favorite flower.
Goodmorning! Time for garlic planting and many chores this fall in the Garden

Dahlia tuber giveaway?!!! I’d die of happiness! 💜💜
Planted my garlic today after watching this video which was right on time!! Thank you thank you 🥰💖🧄❤
The Dahlias are so beautiful! So are the Zinnias. I think it would be beautiful to add some rows of Zinnias to the new property.

What a gorgeous sight to see the dahlias.
Oh boy...so much work with the Dahlia's! So worth it though, they are stunning! I've never grown any, maybe next year. Thanks for the inspiration. 🌺🌼

Some people keep a book on what they planted, when they fertilize, etc. That may be an idea.
🌺🌼🌸Excellent idea of a dahlia giveaway! I'm sure your subs would love to grow them from Laura's dahlia patch! AND you could ask the recipients to send pics of the dahlias growing in their gardens. How fun! 🌺🌼🌸

So fun to see the response to 8b weather in her zone 6!
How fun it would be to have all those beautiful blooms to pick from, for bouquets 💐 to put in the house 🏠!!! Enjoy seeing your beautiful gardens ,daily with a cup of coffee ☕️, usually 😊!
Awesome music. When I plant my garlic I'll hear this. Thanks.
