Hey Steph, me again, added the first comment while watching. When you pack up your kayak you can use the void space to store stuff. The microfiber cloths to wipe your kayak down, life jacket, water bottles, etc. My average hike is a bit longer, just about 5 miles. Not too adventurous, I normally only kayak the same area.
You got the deck straps pulled in so the halves overlap, I see, just as the instructions say. Well done! I've used my pack too -- it comes in handy when I can't park a car near the water or just want to walk down to the river.
When I got my Oru Inlet, my brother gifted me the backpack although I told him I will NOT be hiking anywhere with it, lol. But it's great to store the kayak in for the winter and for travel...
You're very good at climbing over and going under obstacles in the creek. That was fun to see the otter, I've only seen a few in Florida. Thanks.

Hey Steph, I have an oru Beach. I cycle with it on my back. With additional saddlebags for gear.. and if camping I add a Burley travoy trailer. I'm considering a Oru Lake too. I would be able to tow it with all my gear when kayaking lol.

Nice Steph although the hike was short the creek gave you a workout and seeing the otter was fabulous.
