I have a couple lakes near me including Folsom Lake and Lake Natomas, if there is minimum wind I will go to Folsom although Lake Natomas is also a good option because no motor boats are allowed there. In the summer I plan on visiting some of the many lakes a short drive from me in the Sierras. @@smkauthor

I'm so happy to see you brave it through some rapids. I have several large lakes nearby that I'll take my Oru out on, but I've been scared to attempt the large river that flows right near my house due to the few rapids along the route.
I might try to brave it when the weather warms up.

Man I am desperate to get myself one of these folding kayaks. I live by a pier that very well sheltered so no real waves, just a bit of chop. Was looking at the Bay ST or the Beach…. I miss paddling in a kayak so much! Any recommendations?
