The movie Bai Qian ends up with Mo Yuan. As Ye Hua died and Mo Yuan woke up from his sleep, as they were portrayed like Bai Qian and Su Su. It helped me to ease my heart for Mo Yuan as I was invested in Bai Qian and Mo Yuan getting together from the start.

I love the TV series and movie versions of this book. There were some things in the movie that I wish was in the series and vice versa. One, was that Mo Yuan and Ye Hua became one. I really loved the TV series but, I've just liked Mo Yuan better with Bai Qian. -- That reminds me, I going to have to go back and rewatch the movie version again. I've forgotten how that happen. I was just happy that Bai Qian had both men.

When she was young, she worshiped Mo Yuan. Mo Yuan fell quietly in love with her. When he came back, and she was infatuated with his much younger twin Ye Hua, he quietly accepted it. Mo Yuan's love is quiet and acceptance. He loves the younger more impressionable Si Yin. His life is settled on the mountain, with his disciples. Serene. She would be a part of his life. If not for his death, Bai Quan would have settled for him - and never left the mountain. What she did and what she went through in the 70,000 years it took for him to get back changed her a lot. Ye Hua's love for Bai Quan/SiSi is a driving force. . He only lived without SiSi because of their son. He cannot without Bai Quan and he knows it. That in the 3 years that Ye Hua was thought dead, he did not attempt to get Bai Quan to see him as a mate/husband - even though Yea Hua tacitly gave permission and fully expected Mo Yuan to take care of her - shows he knows he was never her choice.

There is a novel for Mo Yuan, not sure if it is ever completed. Since the author of the series was plagiarizing on the story.
