    “One day we’ll be working for our own son.” Brought tears to my eyes, not adopted son, not foster son, “our own son.” We need more people like this.

    Just shows how some people are just held back by the "system" or their circumstances. When he was getting bad grades, he was never dumb. Just no ideal situation to allow him to thrive. When he found stability, he became the best version of himself.

    As a very disadvantaged child and a now 19 year old working his hardest to get into a good university this is not only an extremely beautiful but extremely motivating story.

    For those wondering, I did a little research involving the sister. She was a senior when this all went down, and from what I gathered, she ended up moving into a place with a roommate, so I think she's doing alright.

    Wow that’s depressing. He said when he had someone care for him, it made him want to do better. It’s so sad that that’s all it takes to improve a life.

    I love how the coach’s wife supported the decision to bring the player into their home. She trusted him with her own kids. This is a family of faith lead by the Holy Spirit of God

    He plays in NCAA college for Army. Since that's a running program they moved him to Running Back. Kid turned out real well and this family helped him alot.
