This is absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!!!! How long should I leave my baby in the positions you showed in the videos and how many times a day is it recommended to do?
Hi Marie-Christiane, these exercises are recommended every time your baby is awake to minimize time spent on their back. You can repeat them a couple of times on each side. For example, the reaching exercise, you can practice it by reaching for a fun toy a couple of times with each arm. Hope this helps! Thank you for letting us know your questions!
Hello Kavya Tales, usually a baby with torticollis has the head tilted to one side and rotated to the opposite side; but it depends. It's important to keep their neck and shoulder mobility so they don't develop a preference to only use one hand, or compensations with their posture later on. Thank you for connecting with us!
Hi Megan, these exercises can be done with a 6 w.o. baby. For the exercise on the ball, instead of making your baby reach with one hand, you can move the ball side to side so it promotes the weight shift on elbows. Weight shifting on elbows is one of the key elements for reaching when the baby is 4-6 m.o. Please let us know how your baby does with the exercises. Thank you!
Hello.i had a doubt. My baby has a preference to left side in supine position. But during tummy time she only looks to right side and even when I hold her in my arms she looks to her right side...could this be due to torticollis or something else?
Hello Presteena Mathew, I would suggest to show the head preference to your baby's Pediatrician to define if it is due to torticollis or maybe there is a visual component that makes your baby have that preference. Please let me know how it goes. I am open to do virtual wellness consults and my email is info.solshinept@gmail.com. Thank you!
