I agree - this sounds pretty damn cool. Pete’s soloing is very solid. I’ve seen plenty of bands that should’ve quit a long time ago but this works. F the naysayers.
It's time guys, time to retire. You are my favorite band since I was 10yrs old but everything must come to an end. 80 yr old rockers just don't cut it. But nobody could touch you with a ten ft pole back in the day. Great run!
I take your point Paul. I was at this concert with my wife and younger daughter (who loves The Who having been brainwashed by listening to Quadrophenia in the car every time I drove her and her sister to school when they were young teenagers. This was the 4th time I've seen them live, and yes, when Keith Moon and John Entwistle were alive, they were far more vibrant and energetic. Roger could throw his mic 30 feet in the air, Pete could leap in the air while windmilling, but they are still amazing performers and we thoroughly enjoyed it - as did the thousands of German fans on the train heading back in to Berlin, with their Who and Wholigan T-shirts on 👏👍🤘
With all due respect and asking everybody's kind forbearance: I have been and still am a die hard WHO-fan for +40 years (their 1979 Zeppelinfeld and Rockpalast Gigs in 1981 got me hooked) and still LOVELOVE their music. I respect and admire their challenging and successful transformations after the deaths of Moon and Entwistle and also appreciated their last WHO-album. BUT: The Hyde Park concert 2015 IMHO would have been a good point at which to call it a day and be remembered for raw energy und kickass rock taken to the outer limits. To have carried on ever since seems redundant somehow. The orchestra set-up w/ a conductor (geez!) to me seems out of place. As I said, it is because I have loved and still love THE WHO so much that I find this somehow saddening. (Including many other clips from this 2023 tour.) Long live rock!
These old guys that I loved should hang it up, Pete Townsend got his brother a good paying gig for an average musician, voices gone. Ringos son talent wasted. Sorry I did love you Guys
Agree, these guys were my band when my sisters were Beatles and Stones fans voices and instruments now not so good. Let us remember you from what you were and savior the memory of Keith and John when you guys were great.
I love to see my heroes still playing. Quadraphenia is still my favorite. Great video.
They sound amazing! Thank you for this video… it’s great to hear them live at this age

I agree also. They seem to play for fun and not for money. No wonder st almost eighty.
I love the addition of the strings.
Wish I could have been there. But one thing is clear: no matter how, no matter when - The 'Oo can do no wrong!
Thanku Kindly ...❤️🌹
I saw them way back in 1989 on their 25th anniversary tour, because I thought “ these guys won’t be around much longer”. 😂

Disagree!
The orchestra cuts the balls off on EF. Took the funk right out it. It's not supposed to be pretty
so true. orchestras just a cop out when energy is gone. they all do it. sad but hey true
Well put. I feel the same.
Very true
Yikes!
Remember when he's was deaf
