Hi guys, happy to bring you another episode as I was unsure whether I had the strength to record at all! The illness still has a hold on me, but I want to provide best possible content, so when I get back to full hp I am going to supply you, beautiful audience, with specials and codex reading episodes. ME2 is an absolute treat, so not being able to dive into it more annoys me to no end!
Mixing and matching paragon and renegade makes for the most fun playthrough. Some of the renegade interrupts in this game are the funniest moments in the series. Also Zaeed is a DLC character so he functions a bit differently than every other squad mate.
Oh wow, I did not catch a hint Zaeed is DLC, greatly integrated! It just shows the designs in the game are great - you can't tell regular and DLC characters apart as they all look great 😁
@ one way to tell is there’s no mission to recruit them they just come along and on the Normandy they don’t have full conversations with you, just little quips. There’s only one other DLC character “the master thief”
Loving your appreciation for the visual upgrades of ME2! Also yes, ME2 changed several aspects of ME1, which can be jarring for some people. I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the changes though!
The game looks stunning! This might be just the beginning of the game and it changes down the line, but I like how ME1 has Shepard working for the Alliance military - everything is clean and spotless, now we went undercover, and the game and locations feel lived-in and even dirty (but still vibrant and visually impressive) 🤩
That probably means there is no 'hide helmet in conversations' button; oh well, I spent time making my Shepard look human again, I want to see that face damnit!
Just to clear up what seems to be a point of confusion: The Paragon and Renegade interrupts aren't any kind of "reward", but are hard-written into the game and always appear at their appointed times. The only tie they have to your Paragon and Renegade scores is that they will add to them.
Oh, thanks for clarifying! I was under the impression those interrupts only showed up because I had some farmed points to begin with! Let's say, only with preexisting 10 points can I break the gun of that kid 🤔
@ That’s the impression I was getting that “needed” to be “corrected”. It’s actually not uncommon to see players that are otherwise hewing exclusively to either Paragon or Renegade dialogue choices to take EVERY interrupt regardless of type and have those be their only points in opposition.
Fun fact Miranda is the only squadmate who gives stat bonus to the whole squad, plus overload and warp can get through anything. And she's also your XO so second in command, that's why she has a nice office :D
I hope you are feeling better soon and thanks for posting another excellent episode. Money is harder to come by in ME2 so I always made a save before hacking so I didn't lose any valuable loot! Sometimes a speech option will vanish if you don't act on it promptly. I noticed with the sick Batarian that the 'I'll send someone to help you' option popped up twice but then vanished. (This would have saved his life and caused another meeting further along). Not sure why this happens but it seems that if you keep going to 'investigate' other options sometimes disappear. Maybe you can talk to him again and it will come back (I can't remember if this happens)
It's fine to mix Paragon and Renegade as long as you invest in farming lots of experience, which includes maxing out your passive ability (yours is on 0 right now).
Great episode! Zaeed was voiced by Robin Sachs (sadly deceased), he voiced Lord Harrowmont in Dragon Age Origins. Pro tip - if a target is hiding behind cover you can arc powers like throw and pull over or around it. You do this by placing the crosshair over hidden target and moving up or away from the target. When you lose the target health bar move back slightly towards the target, when you can see the health bar again fire the power. If done correctly the power will pull or throw the target out of cover. This also works with warp and singularity. Shockwave can be fired through cover and will hit the target, if in range. Powers like throw, pull and singularity will not work on (or have limited effect on) enemies with yellow or blue health bars. Warp is very effective against yellow or purple health bars. These are useful tricks for a biotic adept to learn.
These are some insane, high-level strats! Will try to pull some of them off, but for now I am still a little bit lost as adept haha, even in terms of flow of combat. The Harrowmont connection is also new to me as I played Origins in a localized, dubbed version 😅 The only DA game that got that treatment in my locale

Thanks! Actually, the pun aspect of the title eluded me up until now. Breathtaking Visuals? Yea, beacuse I'm out of breath the entire episode haha
@DyliardGaming hahahahaha
Hope you get better soon! :)
Thank you, friend!

I always go without a helmet...the health upgrade isn't that big of a deal. :)

@DyliardGamingthis gets fixed in ME3
Good to know!

Zaeed is basically the old veteran but he is useful, he can use assault and sniper rifle
The goated weapons! I absolutely understand his choice 😀

Narratively, she definitely feels like an important squadmate. I do wonder what role she will play...

I am an addict of quicksaving, so I'm good haha. Will try to speak with the batarian agains to see whether anything new pops up!
@DyliardGaming I just noticed that I had been unsubscribed for some reason. I don't know why youtube does this!

Time to get back to that EXP grind; after the last active ability, I am investing only into the passive one 😄

@DyliardGaming Thank you. You will have plenty of time to practice, in the meantime enjoy the views!
