Space Pioneer Katherine Johnson Building Name Dedication

The "human computer" who calculated the trajectories for the first U.S. human spaceflights was honored May 5, 2016 at NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va. NASA Langley's new computer research lab will be called the Katherine G. Johnson Computational Research Facility after mathematician Katherine Johnson.
