annalynn is, rather uniquely, styled after 80s namco arcade games. because of this, all of its music is within the limitations of the namco wavetable. there is no way to "improve" the instrumentation besides changing the waveforms, otherwise it would clash against (perhaps even ruin) the rest of the game's aesthetic. yes, these limitations could be considered unfortunate, as with them, the song needed to focus on great composition to deliver on an exciting finale. but you have to admit... *it really freakin delivered.*
