Here are some common questions I thought I would post an answer to here: *Dair Loops don't appear to connect on the Combo Counter in Training mode, does that mean it isn't true?* The combo counter doesn't properly record this even though it is true (can be tested frame by frame to prove that). As a general rule, the combo counter usually does not record many combos correctly. This is just an issue with the combo counter and not the combo itself! *Can you tech Dair Loops?* Nope! I believe the third hit of d-air makes them grounded, so when d-air starts to spike they cannot tech it. In Ultimate, grounded spikes cannot be tech'd. If I notice more common questions, I'll add to the list!
I’m not too sure about this, but I believe that fast fallers can tech grounded spikes. Like I said might have to fact check, but I think fast fallers can tech grounded spikes
I just would like to add one thing: Landing the spike hit is kinda inconsistent, since most of the spike hitbox is actually below the ground, meaning you need to land basically on *top* of them pretty exactly.
@@trip9196 If a Lucas did this shit to me, I'd give them props as the chosen one they clearly are. Tech like this and spamming only have one thing in common, repetition where one is due to lame play or lack of understanding how to play the character well and the other is due to dedication, practice and being sick as hell.
Haha thanks! I honestly just made up a style for my editing on my own with bits of inspiration from guides I've seen in the past. The most important thing however is what I felt was lacking in other guides, which is what I try to have as a big focus in my videos. My DJCZ video was an experiment of sorts since I've never done this kind of editing before, but seeing the feedback showed that it's a consistent style I can keep so that's nice

@@KingOfWizards but i think ness is still overall better because the main problem is that lucas gets nothing put of grab only maybe a up air or fair at low percents so just shield and he cant do much to you
Lucas is really hard to pull off with how much work he has to play & he is really cool with how he plays ngl But I don't see Lucas being better than Ness anytime soon. Ness's neutral is a lot better since he can throw a lot of moves & they are safe when they're used right while Lucas's neutral is pretty situational since he doesn't really have any moves he can just throw out safely except for Fair, PK Fire, & DJC Zair. Another is Ness has a lot easier time to land kills cause a lot of his moves can kill while Lucas actually has problems landing kills, fair needs to be spaced to get the sweetspot, getting a grab is hard for Lucas since his grab has a longer startup & bad endlag, so he can get punished for missing his grab, PK Freeze & PK Fire can be shielded. The only times he can easily get kills is when he edgeguards or does a kill confirm like the dair loops to fsmash or fair. Which while the dair loop is really good, it's not something u can just throw out in neutral, SH dair doesn't autocancel, so if ur not careful, u will get punished while ur suffering landing lag from dair. KingOfWizards say, Lucas is underappreciated he definitely is & he is tech heavy. Lol Lucas is insane, just his neutral is situational. He won't be better than Ness at all because of this & whatever Lucas struggles at, Ness doesn't break a sweat, the only thing Lucas really has that's better than Ness is recovering, but Ness's recovery isn't too bad cause of air dodge & recovering isn't the main thing to focus on, but rather the neutral game. But hey, Lucas is cool anyway

RUclips guides are a resource that is so important for exposure of a character, accessibility to guides, and overall advancing the meta. The lack of content creators for characters can be harsh, but it is what motivated me to make guides for Lucas! Thanks!
Yes! As of 6.1, multiple characters that Dair Loops did not work on prior can now be hit by the combo, however it only works if you start the loops on the opponents back. A weird shadow buff, but I'll take it.

A guy did this to me in an arena to my ness and it was so annoying to see him connect the same move sooo many times but now I'ma learn this and the DJCZ. Thanks! :)
He's got a lot of flaws for sure, but there is a lack of advancing in the meta to truly understand where he belongs. Lucas is definitely on the much higher end of being tech-heavy, but he still has some fundamental flaws that just cannot be changed. But as Lucas mains, we work around them and show how busted this character really can be!
I would be so happy if someone managed to bring them to prominence in the competitive scene. So many characters would be slept on if not for a single champion. Sometimes that's all it takes to change people's minds.

There's a lot of control methods out there for Lucas mains, but I definitely should make an overview to allow people to judge what they find best. Thank you for the suggestion!
I'm still trying to figure out a good setup for Lucas myself. I think hand position might be just as important. That started when I realized that I can mash 5 times faster by palming the control stick with my right hand, but not my left. Cuts down on hand strain too. Right now I'm wondering about abandoning the right triggers, by putting my right hand directly over top of the face buttons. Then I can have constant access to tilts, and buttons for grab, attack, and special as well as an extra jump, without hand strain. I can even pinch the c-stick, since that helps my disabled thumbs a bit with speed, or with spamming d-tilt.
