I want to know why the simulated necking position is not in the center of the sample, shouldn't the stress state of the sample be completely symmetrical?
this indeed is an interesting question. But once I did FE modelling of square crashbox with some Q1 papers and experimental data as refference. By using just the model, the first folding occured at the front of the structure while from what I read, at the real situation the folding initiation might occur at random spot but mostly at the near middle of the crashbox. I can't really explain it myself why the FE modelling does so because it was not my focus since in crashbox problem we simply make some indentation for folding initiation
Can we do this using static general?

Good question!

Great djob
Great job sir. Can you do this in fatigue analysis?
i am looking for that too. damage for fatigue test. Have you done that?
how to get the parameters
Salam alikom, est il possible de m'orienter pour savoir comment déterminer les paramètres d'endommagement à partir de la courbe de traction. Merci
j'ai le meme problème
Thank you
Can someone please send me .cae file. I am getting some different results and I am confused why is that.
nice try
Thank you
