Alan has such a strong mentality to get through the tough times he has and is still going through. He is fighting cancer and is a survivor. He told us about his ambition which he could not fulfil but he still has his fantastic art work and a loving family to get him through. Alan you are an inspiration to us all and this video showed so much of the emotions you have gone through day in day out. The music was beautiful too and I love the title 'Dream of flying'. May you always fly in your dreams forever
Thank you for taking the time to watch it, it is so heartwarming to know that someone cares. Its people like you that revive my faith in humanity and that's a special gift to receive 😀
Honestly started balling a minute in, as a family you've had such a massive impact on my life, Ste has been one of my best friends and one of the only people I know I can rely on for over 10 years now, you've all picked me up when I was in a million pieces, Alan always has a smile on his face no matter how he is feeling and always puts everyone else first, he inspires me so much and taught me to take risks if they make you happy , he's always supported me through everything. Honestly it's like having a second family and even though I never get enough time off work to come over alot when I do you always welcome me with open arms. 💜
Catrin Jeffers thanks for the lovely comment Catrin, it means alot to us both, you have grown up to be a lovely young lady and our door is always open for you to pop round.
I'm doing okay now, I beat brain cancer last year. I was diagnosed January 2020 which came as such a shock it felt like the world had fallen from my feet but I was put on a new treatment and within 8 months it completely burned away the tumors. I have to remain on treatment for the rest of my life to stop new tumors from growing which I can deal with but I have nearly 2 decades of trauma I haven't dealt with yet, I'm clinically depressed, anxiety attacks and horrible nightmares but I'm working on getting the help I need from clatterbridge cancer hospital so given time I'll beat that too. The thing that really gets me down is what this illness has done to my family and the pain they have had to endure through the years. To be honest if I didn't have my family I would have died years ago but I get strength and the will to live from them. Life is just one crazy journey which is just a series of moments, what gives life meaning is the love and happiness you fill those moments with. So I take those moments and savour every second of them.
@@AlAl-wn2cf they are, I've been teaching myself to draw and paint for over a decade now. I drew my profile picture on you tube, that took me over 100 hours to draw as I was aiming for a more realistic portrait.
@@AlAl-wn2cf oh I'm far away across the pond I'm afraid. I can recommend some really good teachers on you tube, check out the channel Proko, if you are starting from the beginning with no formal training I seriously recommend his channel. I've used several books too the most informative and helpful is the books by Andrew Loomis, you'll find that anyone with formal Training will always tell you that using Loomis,'s books is the best way to build a foundation when you're teaching yourself. In fact Proko does reference Loomis and others in the huge library of lessons on his channel. But the one thing I will teach you now is to never be afraid of failure, I've produced a lot of good pieces of work but the failures number in the hundreds but I never let that put me off in fact I learned from my failures and kept every single one. I wrote down where I feel I went wrong and kept them as a reminder. To get good takes a long time but if you're up for the challenge and never give up one day somebody will ask you to to teach them I guarantee it.
This is absolute Cancer
