My 8th gen LG Gram 15 is approaching five years old and has the flex and wobble of this new one. That is the compromise with the design. They are both military-standard spec and are far more rugged than you expect. Mine is in perfect condition still, so I would not be concerned about durability. As for what the Style 16 is, it is a premium ultrabook, so not for gaming or prosumer work per se, or at least for more than the occasional odd use.
So what does Mil Spec mean? I'd be curious about the longevity of the hing with the wobble. Also, I notice the trackpad is centered on the laptop. With the 10 key, that puts it off center from the keyboard. Does that make it awkward?
@@markspoonauer5360 Any of the ZenBooks. They seem awfully inexpensive. Curious on build quality. The new Zenbook S is pretty nice but at 13" might be too small. Thanks!
@@markspoonauer5360 I wfh and travel. My Surface Pro 7 is dying. Dont game, just excel, teams etc. Need light and good battery. Thinking Asus Zenbook too. I think the trackpad on this would make me crazy.
I think a proper laptop review should always include footage of back panel disassembly in order to show the internal layouts. Are the cooling systems adequate? Are there any upgradable ram slots? Are there any upgradable ssd slots? Is the wifi card upgradable? How hard is it to get to those slots etc. Unfortunately since this "review" did not contain any of these things I have to drop a dislike for not being professional enough.
Wish you mentioned the weight in metric units. ...like how the laptop is called.

Thanks for the comment. The creaking worries me more than the wobbling but good to know that it's held up

Hey can you do the teardown for the LG Gram Style? Is the internals storage and memory user-replaceable?
I wish they Included that. I wanted to know if it can be Upgraded. 😅
@@johnnydoe3603 Only a second M2 free slot, otherwise RAM and Wifi Card are soldered

It does make it awkward. I complained about that in the full written review

The display is glossy or matt?
Matt
Glossy with AR coating
3:03 dang that's too big for outdoor use, for me anyway, not to mention it's a thief magnet given all the criminals out there.
There is a 14” Version too but yeah,
it looks like an eye catcher. 😅
Is that 100% scaling? You monster!😂
