    Thanks for posting. I bought the M-Audio Oxygen Pro 49, and also the Novation Launchkey 49 MK3. I returned the Launchkey, because the preset editor software only works with internet. I dont like that. the keys are better on the M-audio. One thing that the Launchkey has better are the drumpads. M-audio drumpads have low sensitivty and sometimes miss finger beats.

      Thanks for sharing. Yes I really don't like the way companies are moving to this portal type software.. think about it.. why does your MIDI Keyboard need to be connected to the internet? That's very odd. I never use drum pads for beatmaking, which is why I turned the Drum Pads into a way to navigate FL Studio.
      See drum pad navigation here:

      Great feedback, thanks!!

    i have an older 49 key M-Audio model, it works fine, but i also have the arturia keylab 61 MKII, with the DAW button you can choose wich DAW to use, and the knobs, sliders, and navigation buttons are automatically set, the DAW button on the midi controller is for choosing you preferred DAW

      Not all DAWs work out of the box by selecting your DAW with DAW Mode on a MIDI Keyboard.

      @@itsGratuiTous the arturia keyboard works great with FL when you choose the FL DAW preset, maybe its a flaw in the oxigen pro, did you do an update to a more recent firmware?

    • @itsGratuiTous
      @itsGratuiTous  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes latest firmware 👍 - Depending on MIDI Keyboard vendor, sometimes they customize the DAW experience. Typically out of the box you have to create your own setup. What features does Arturia have in FL Studio what you're talking about for hands-on experience?

    Hello, how about the screen? No OLED burn-in? Seems like you've had it for a few years now, but you said you didn't use it immediately after purchase, so it's not clear how much of a long-term review this is. Just wondering how everything has held up. The keys, the pitch wheels (although you don't use them much), etc. I did hear that your issue with the fader values went away. Thank you for the video, sir.

    • @itsGratuiTous
      @itsGratuiTous  2 месяца назад +1

      Overall the MIDI Keyboard is holding up well. No screen burn in. I do not use the Pitch Wheel or Mod Wheel for making beats. Mainly just focus on the piano keys & transport buttons. The faders / knobs are nice to have, but they are not motorized and absolute knobs (not endless encoders), so hands-on mixing isn't the best.
      If you use FL Studio, my custom drum pad workflow from the Premium MIDI Script & Template for the Oxygen Pro is very enjoyable!

    I was kinda leery about picking mine up because I haven’t had the best experience with M-Audio and quality control. I’m still having issues with using any functionality beyond just basic MIDI controller stuff, but as far as just plain usability, I absolutely love it.
    M-Audio really should have made it more intuitive to do things like control VSTi’s. I still find myself having to work with the mouse to program a VSTi instead of using the Pro’s controls.
    Other than that, I don’t regret picking it up. For me, the aftertouch was worth the price I paid for it alone.

      MIDI Mapping is always a tricky task depending on what MIDI Controller & DAW Combo you're using. The M-Audio Oxygen Pro Preset Editor is really powerful, and if you use FL Studio, we can manually set up Global Links to get your VST set up for you each time you open a new or old project.
      The main thing I would like to see changed in a Oxygen Pro mkii is that the knobs are endless encoders, rather than absolute, so we can get better hands-on mixing 👍

    Im between this one and the nektar lx49 one

    • @itsGratuiTous
      @itsGratuiTous  20 дней назад +1

      If you're just getting started, the Nektar might be a good option. It's more affordable, and offers quite a bit for the price there!
      The Oxygen Pro has semi-weighted keys (a little better than cheaper piano key feeling), and I created a cool drum pad workflow to navigate FL Studio with my Premium Template & Premium MIDI Script. You can learn more here:

      Hey, I've used Nektar for 3 years --and that's the reason I'm watching this video, lol. I'm looking to upgrade.
      The keys on the Nektar are so bad. The springs are tight, even after some 3 years of owning this thing. It physically hurts after a while, if you are playing chords.

    • @arunkarthikma3121
      @arunkarthikma3121 4 месяца назад

      I read some reviews saying the keys were stiff... but I didn't think much of it, until I had to actually play music.
      It WILL hold you back.
      Also, some extra advice: You don't need 64 keys for a MIDI controller.
      A midi controller helps you write riffs. Not play classical concertos.
