    Diggin' Richard Dawson's slacks with the big flares at the bottom. Can't believe that was stylish for men at that time in the 70's.

    This episode made me wanna hug Patti... but then the contestant wasn't exactly a 'bright bunny', either ;)

    Funny how things change. We don't really have bucket seats anymore but they didn't have "bucket lists" back then. That term was actually coined for that movie of the same title.

    There needs to be a compilation video of times where Patti matches. It'd be the shortest video in the history of youtube.

      The last chair was reserved for stars who gave kooky answers for a laugh. It was part of the charm.

    I always wondered the crowd was always laughing during the introduction of the celebrities. Is that canned?

    • @dannyhill8797
      @dannyhill8797 7 лет назад

      with all shows taped b4 an audience, it's been said that laughs and applause is sometimes augmented with recorded laughter/applause because the audience doesn't always respond as hoped..they're prepared for that...

    I'm sure Patti was a nice person and all, but she was more interested in giving funny? far out there answers than actually matching the contestants. She wanted to see how many letters she could fit on her card.

    Stripping is the same as flashing!

    • @dannyhill8797
      @dannyhill8797 7 лет назад +1

      nope: stripping, you remove your clothes, while a flasher is already disrobed - except for the proverbial trench coat...

    • @mlg1948
      @mlg1948 5 лет назад

      Guess you’ve never worn a trench coat..😊😊😊

  • @MichaelSimmons.
    @MichaelSimmons. 7 лет назад

    I'm no fan of Ira's judging, but this time he's right. Flashing is not stripping. Stripping requires removing your clothing. I've been flashed by women, who simply opened and closed their shirt, but stayed fully clothed.

    I'm serious.... why did they have Patti on the show? they know beforehand she's hardly ever gonna match, so seriously, why do they have her on?
    I guess I can admit that even though she hardly matches, a couple of her answers are actually normal.... and one was even a match with Brett

  • @nancejantz
    @nancejantz 9 лет назад +3

    you can "flash" without stripping????????????????????

    • @johnalang
      @johnalang 7 лет назад

      Yes...when a person "flashes", they keep their trench coat on....."stripping" is taking everything off and keeping it off

  • @TommygunNG
    @TommygunNG 9 лет назад +2

    "Flashes" should have worked for "strips." The chick was robbed.

    • @Jay_Sullivan
      @Jay_Sullivan 8 лет назад

      Flashing is not stripping, and they matched 'make love and play hookie' with 'necking'- she did not get robbed.

    • @TommygunNG
      @TommygunNG 8 лет назад

      "Making love" would fit with "necking" as a more intense version of the same basic thing--sensual pleasure in a romantic-type setting. Likewise, "flashes" should fit with "strips," as a less intense version of the same basic thing--showing nudity.

      So punching someone equates to murdering them? A shot of whiskey is the same as drinking the whole bottle? Those terms are not synonymous.

    • @TommygunNG
      @TommygunNG 8 лет назад

      "Make love" is a broad enough term to encompass "necking." It's not necessarily limited to full-blown sex. (Think of it this way, would your wife consider you necking with another woman to be cheating? Or would the father of your high school girlfriend pull out the shotgun the same either way?) "Murder," though, is distinct from "punching" in that the former is an act of high kinetic energy, while the latter is the unjustifiable ending of a human life. As for the whiskey comparison, I suspect the judges on the show might give the contestant credit for a match in that case.

    • @Jay_Sullivan
      @Jay_Sullivan 8 лет назад

      "Making love" is not a broad term, it means intercourse- you aren't going to tell your friend that you made love to a girl when, in fact, you made out with her.
      Kissing is cheating, but it is not making love. Just because someone may be crazy enough to pull a weapon out on someone for kissing their daughter's neck, doesn't mean that they were making love. You can't impregnate someone by necking.
      Just like necking is related to making love, punching someone is related to murder; however, they are not equal. Therefor, they don't MATCH.
