Yes you need a pin code reader because Nissan has rolling pin codes everytime you program a key you'll get a new pin code...some programmers read the pin code but newer cars usually require a pin code reader
You can find people locally usually that will program a key for you for about $50...just buy the key off eBay than have someone program it for you...but you can't program a key without these tools...I detailed cars and added the key programming to my services, that's how I justified buying it
I have a 2015 Nissan Altima it also came with one smart key I also have a viper 5706 remote starter on it will the viper alarm interfere with the programing?
Jose Saravia-Perez, if you read previous comments... YES! This method does NOT require a working key to "clone" a new key. This will clear all the old keys and program in all new keys.
The remote buttons stopped working on both of my 2013 Altima keys after replacing batteries, but the proximity key function still works on both. The car starts and doors and trunk locks operate via the request buttons. Do you know of a simple way to self-program just the remote control portion of the key? I don't need to reprogram the immobilizer part.
The same process I used will re-program the used remote to your car, or you can try the directions Nissan puts on their website for remotes...but that never works for me.
I was almost certain that these Nissan keys were shot after being programmed to a vehicle. It was always my understanding that they could be reprogrammed to the same vehicle, but not programmed into a different vehicle.
Mine too...there are companies that charge money for "clearing " a remote or key so it can be programmed again...you can clear it while programming it. It's all a money thing...Nissan has a rolling pin code so each time a key is accessed it changes the pin code...same as if I took a key from your car and used it on mine...I've done it and it works. Hope this helps
Make sure to start with the pin code than program your key as well as the new "used" key with the same new pin code...also make sure the fob has a chip in it...hope this helps
No you cannot. Even if is the same FCC ID. I tried on my friend's 2013 Nisan Altima with brand new key (5 buttons). I put the right code, everything went very smooth, but the key was not programmed.
So recently changed the battery to my remote and now the buttons doesn't to unlock/lock the doors or remote start. Do I need that programmer to redo it? Oh and were you able to remote start your car cause I did not see that in the video?
Yes...it will work on any Nissan and a bunch of other models as well...if it’s just a fob you’re trying to program to lock and unlock doors but the key works to start the car..you can try to program those without a machine...just google how to program fob or go to nissans website
I just bought a 2017 rogue from auction and it only came with one key. I ordered the skp 900 and the nscp001. I want to delete all keys and start new with the key it came with and a new key fob i purchased. Will this program the lock and unlock features or do I have to do the nissan method for that part?
No it will program everything...when you program the new key...you will get a new pin code...that code applies to the new key and the key you already have....and once programmed the lock unlock and remote start feature will work...if you have any issues let me know..
What do you mean only one key can be programmed?..if you add a key than the key that you already had needs to be programmed again with the new key so they have the same code
It could be...if you have one key programmed you'll want all keys present. Otherwise the previously programmed keys won't have the same pin code as the new one. Anytime I program a new key I reprogram the other keys too. That message you got I have not had before though..not sure about that message to be honest.
Look for I message error on RUclips they say it's because someone programmed a proximity remote using 5 button like for remote start when the car didn't come equipped with it. Just reprogram the keys it should make that message on the dash go away
+JC-Details the car does have a remote start lol I actually can't use it though. maybe its the reverse and programmed for buttons when it should be 5. I'll have to take it to Nissan, I don't have the equipment to reprogram myself
JC-Details no hun. So I changed my battery but my car keeps saying invalid id of course I hold it too the start stop button for it to start but it's not allowing me to use regular functions. Like touch lock etc.
Try this: 1. unlock the door with mechanical key 2. open and close the drivers door 2 times 3. move the steering wheel to the left while starting 4. push the button in harder
you know you don't need the pin code at all rite? you just hit on nopincode, and press the push start a bunch of times, I programmed more then 10 Nissans after 2013 like that, never had to buy or use 20 dig bcm covert
this method would prob work if the remote was already mated with the car or "unlocked". A used fob will require the nissan reader to generate a new pincode.
You can program any Nissan smart key even if it's already programmed to another car just by following the same steps...I've tested it many times...of course it no longer works for the other Vehichle once you program it to the new car.
Is this true of 2013 to present smart keys? I've read they are different and once they are programmed to a car they cannot be used for any other car unless they are "unlocked". You see many sellers on ebay advertising "unlocked" fob's.
That's what I thought too until I tried it... I took a key from a 2013 and programmed it to a different car. I've seen people selling unlocked keys for more money. When you program a key it opens a code in the Nissan and the key follows code...anytime you program a new key you also have to rewrite the old key because the car and new key will have a new code. So I always programm the new keys with the old keys. the keys are never locked..Nissan uses a rolling code it assigns a key code than writes that code to the keys. Don't pay someone to "unlock" a key for you before programming...you don't need all that.
@@jc-details5125 Dude you are awesome ... thank you for confirming you can use old keys since it has to reprogram them all. Do you know of any cheaper devices that can do this ? Amazon has many ODB scanners but like barely any key tools.
I took two previously used FOB's with fresh batteries to an advanced auto locksimth and they were not able to make them work "they used a T-Code Pro". I sat beside him and he tried 3 times and then let another employee try, each time the original fob that came with my 2014 altima would program fine but the other two would beep and be rejected. I did'nt say anything but they concluded the programing was "burnt" into the unit" and could not be changed with theyre equipment. They did not try to upsell me a fob and did'nt charge me but said I would have to get unused or ones restored to a "virgin state". I now believe this a real thing and will try an "unlocked" fob next. But I'm confused as you claim you can do it with your 2013, I wonder if you had an early model w/different software or perhaps your skp-900 has some ability to override the security?
Not everyone has the right equipment..you have to have a pin code reader to program Nissan keys...I've done 2014 models...all I'm saying is I was at a dealership doing keys...he had an extra Nissan key from a different car and I made it work..you need to get the pin code from the car than assign it to the keys
No they did'nt have the pincode reader. So I guess theyre equipment could only program the original fob and hopefully "virgin state" ones whereas your reader will generate a new pincode that will somehow be allowed to work with a new or used fob. Where are you located BTW?
So I "got two "unlocked" fob's and took them back to the same locksmith and using the same equipment he was able to program to my car so it's a good idea to get "unlocked" remotes unless you have the Nissan reader.
Yes this is correct, you need the pin code reader. What your locksmith used was a Key clone..it just adds same pin code to the key fob so it's not activating a new key technically. That's why some locksmiths require you to have at least one key that works...with my method you don't need a working key at all...and the pin code reader is only $100...worth having it, it will pay for itself after one key. Glad you got it worked out though!
Good vid! I was happy to hear it was in English thanks you for making I needed it on the new Altima. Keep em comming
Thanks for the videos even the seller could not provide a clear videos how this works ,thanks keep it up
And BCM Code Calculator is with SKP 900 key programer?
this is great. I would like to try this but do we have to buy the key programmer and the pin code reader ?
Yes you need a pin code reader because Nissan has rolling pin codes everytime you program a key you'll get a new pin code...some programmers read the pin code but newer cars usually require a pin code reader
Ah that's expensive. Do you recommend an alternative?
You can find people locally usually that will program a key for you for about $50...just buy the key off eBay than have someone program it for you...but you can't program a key without these tools...I detailed cars and added the key programming to my services, that's how I justified buying it
Sir This SKP 900 KeyProgram All Nissan vahicle ?
Awesome! Hope it helped some!! You can use any key programmer and all the steps are still the same.
hey Jc-Details one question this SKP-900 And NSPC001 works with nissan altima 2015 S models ?
Yes
+JC-Details thank
You're welcome
I have a 2015 Nissan Altima it also came with one smart key I also have a viper 5706 remote starter on it will the viper alarm interfere with the programing?
No it should be fine
JC-Details do you know if you can program 2016 altimas with all keys lost?
Jose Saravia-Perez, if you read previous comments...
YES! This method does NOT require a working key to "clone" a new key. This will clear all the old keys and program in all new keys.
No it shouldn't interfere
The remote buttons stopped working on both of my 2013 Altima keys after replacing batteries, but the proximity key function still works on both. The car starts and doors and trunk locks operate via the request buttons. Do you know of a simple way to self-program just the remote control portion of the key? I don't need to reprogram the immobilizer part.
Try the recommend method Nissan has on their website
I bought some used remotes. What needs to be done to make them work on my car? I have a 2013 altima SV.
The same process I used will re-program the used remote to your car, or you can try the directions Nissan puts on their website for remotes...but that never works for me.

Hey jeff, just go through the programming I did here, it will work. Just make sure you didn't buy remotes without the chip in them...
Hi Jc, where do you get the English instructions to programme cars with the skp900 ?
No instructions maybe ask the maker...I just learned by trial and error..good luck friend
Greetings, I have a question to program a key must be new or used a used another vehicle and try to schedule a used and could not programmed
Make sure to start with the pin code than program your key as well as the new "used" key with the same new pin code...also make sure the fob has a chip in it...hope this helps
hello sir ..
can i programing remote with 5 buttons on a car has remote with 4 buttons ?
with the same FCC ID
I'm not sure I've never tried that
No you cannot. Even if is the same FCC ID. I tried on my friend's 2013 Nisan Altima with brand new key (5 buttons). I put the right code, everything went very smooth, but the key was not programmed.
hi,people here is
a question for you ,i want to know if can clip 159v can work on Nissan vehicle.
hi does the 2013 nissan altima 2013 base need to install the remote starter feature or just the key needs to be programmed
When you program the key it programs the remote starter too if you have this feature already
So recently changed the battery to my remote and now the buttons doesn't to unlock/lock the doors or remote start. Do I need that programmer to redo it? Oh and were you able to remote start your car cause I did not see that in the video?
No just google the lock program for your fob no equipment needed
Will this method work on a 2017 nissan rogue sv to program new proximity keys?
Yes...it will work on any Nissan and a bunch of other models as well...if it’s just a fob you’re trying to program to lock and unlock doors but the key works to start the car..you can try to program those without a machine...just google how to program fob or go to nissans website

After you program the key it ask if you have another key to program...you’ll say yes and follow the commands
JC-Details Thanks for the info!!
the programmer is connected via ODB, so where is the pincode reader connected too..the skp900?
Yes pin code reader connects to the programmer
Yes pin code reader connects via a split cable to the programmer
When I do the last step when I touch the ignition with the first programmed key it doesn't do the 11 beep and I can only have one key programmed
What do you mean only one key can be programmed?..if you add a key than the key that you already had needs to be programmed again with the new key so they have the same code
Have you tried SKP-900 on a 2013 or newer Nissan Leaf? Does this procedure work?
Yes all nissans work
JC-Details hi i tried it on a 2016 nissan altima but when i put the the pincode, it said that there was a code error, im using the nspc001
Do you if the process for a 2014-15 Infiniti Q50 is the same?
It is real similar...not much different than the Rogues, and Altimas of the same year
can i use this same machines to program a nissan rogue 2015 sv ? a local locksmith tried with the same things but couldnt get the key programmed
Yes 13-14-15 year models are all the same
If I have 1 working key, does it just take 1 token to add a key? Or will both keys have to be reprogrammed?
Both keys have to be programmed so they have the same code...tokens are free when you run out they give you a link to reload with this machine
I keep getting an "I key system error" tells me to see owners manual, which is not much help. would this be because I have to reprogram the key?
It could be...if you have one key programmed you'll want all keys present. Otherwise the previously programmed keys won't have the same pin code as the new one. Anytime I program a new key I reprogram the other keys too. That message you got I have not had before though..not sure about that message to be honest.

Is the skp 1000 a better programer then the 900
I’m not sure...probably not much of a difference maybe more of an updated version....
I learned something new
How about when u change the battery and it needs reprogramming?
You don’t need anything special for that..there are instructions usually how to do it based on your model...
m.ruclips.net/video/OjXzDJ8kNFY/видео.html
JC-Details no hun. So I changed my battery but my car keeps saying invalid id of course I hold it too the start stop button for it to start but it's not allowing me to use regular functions. Like touch lock etc.

you know you don't need the pin code at all rite?

im a bout to try that right now see if that works...I doubt it ..
This is news to me...no pin code no program...when you hit no code it starts the rotating codes I haven't ever seen it done your way..
this method would prob work if the remote was already mated with the car or "unlocked". A used fob will require the nissan reader to generate a new pincode.
Did it work for you, Alexander??
Did it work

Sir good job Allah bless you ♥
Sir India car sapoart this tool
Yes
Omg, you have got to be kidding.
Not sure I follow you..?
I have an old 2010 nissan altima remote like new, would I be able to program it for a 2013 nissan altima?
No the codes are different starting on the 12 models
