    Lots of hard work doesn't bother me; I can watch people do it for hours.

    Peak through the internals of that used engine with endoscope to minimize bad purchase n better if they can provide compression readings for each cylinder.

    boss, good video.. The engine I built was from 2012 to 2017, so did you have to change the cover? and the other additions fit well because in 2011 the PCV valve is below the engine...if you can tell me how you did it.thanks

      Salvage yards, or ebay...don't always have reports to prove it, so you have to trust them.

    Good job! I noticed you didn't remove the windshield wiper panel for the extra space. Thinking about doing this by myself as well.

    Hey! I’m seriously considering doing a “restoration” on my 2010 Toyota Camry (4 cylinder). It currently has 260,000 miles on it, and I plan on engine swapping it with a lower mileage engine as part of the restoration process along with some cosmetic work it needs. I wanted to know about how long did it take you to complete your engine swap?

    Do you know what years and vehicles I can search for a replacement for a 2009 Toyota Camry with the 2.4

      Sounds like a 2az-fe engine.

    If need to replace a 2.4L, 2.5L, 2.7L get the scion 2.5L they are far cheaper than others just because came out of a scion. And YES THE 2.5L 2arfe CAN replace the pos 2.4L 2azfe and the very rare , expensive 2.7L 1arfe.

      Can the 2.5 be fitted instead of the old 2.4 with no modifications? Thanks

      Looks like the timing cover will have to be switched over. They are different and also the pcv valve location.

      @TrentsOvertimeGarage  2 года назад +1

    What kind of sealant did you use to put the engine side cover back on?

    • @TrentsOvertimeGarage
      @TrentsOvertimeGarage  Год назад +1

      Permatex ultra grey. The OEMs all have a version of it that is probably higher quality.
