Peak through the internals of that used engine with endoscope to minimize bad purchase n better if they can provide compression readings for each cylinder.
boss, good video.. The engine I built was from 2012 to 2017, so did you have to change the cover? and the other additions fit well because in 2011 the PCV valve is below the engine...if you can tell me how you did it.thanks
i have hard time aligning dowel pin from engine to transmission. Also seems like my flywheel is binding with torque converter. any tips will be helpful.
Hello ! God Job ! and Where did you buy engine and how much is it and how much miles on this engine and they gave you any Car repot for proof engine miles Thanks for share this video
Hey! I’m seriously considering doing a “restoration” on my 2010 Toyota Camry (4 cylinder). It currently has 260,000 miles on it, and I plan on engine swapping it with a lower mileage engine as part of the restoration process along with some cosmetic work it needs. I wanted to know about how long did it take you to complete your engine swap?
If need to replace a 2.4L, 2.5L, 2.7L get the scion 2.5L they are far cheaper than others just because came out of a scion. And YES THE 2.5L 2arfe CAN replace the pos 2.4L 2azfe and the very rare , expensive 2.7L 1arfe.
@@car-toonnetwork7723just get if done from a experienced mexican if you have somewhere they can do it they get the job done i have a guy that does 80 a hour and just a little extra for engines, he charged me 650 and i havent had issues
Lots of hard work doesn't bother me; I can watch people do it for hours.

Salvage yards, or ebay...don't always have reports to prove it, so you have to trust them.
Good job! I noticed you didn't remove the windshield wiper panel for the extra space. Thinking about doing this by myself as well.
Good call

Great job how much would you charge for that? How much was the new engine?
Do you know what years and vehicles I can search for a replacement for a 2009 Toyota Camry with the 2.4
Sounds like a 2az-fe engine.

Can the 2.5 be fitted instead of the old 2.4 with no modifications? Thanks
Looks like the timing cover will have to be switched over. They are different and also the pcv valve location.
I need the same engine for a 2007 Camry. How much should I be expecting to pay for the engine swap including labor?
Maybe $2k for a motor, $1k labor, and some for shop materials.
@@TrentsOvertimeGarage 1k for labor is dream

Excuse me sr how tall is your lift? And what is the weight capacity?
150” overall height, 10,000 lbs capacity
Good job
Does the motor have only 90 day warranty I need one can you recommend a good place to shop for one with low miles I have the 2.4
Check out ebay
What kind of sealant did you use to put the engine side cover back on?
Permatex ultra grey. The OEMs all have a version of it that is probably higher quality.
Great work
How much did this cost all together? Or if you did it for a client how much did you charge them?
$1200 engine, 15-20 hrs labor. Probably a $3-4000 job.
I just did mine. Same car but 2010. 3400
Great job! I'll be doing an engine swap to a Toyota RAV4 soon. Where did you find the replacement engine?
Salvage yard, via eBay
