The big evil Orc who is evil because he was created by an inherently destructive and abusive society. This is after the DM has read a few sociology and psychology books and is currently outraged by systematic injustice.
Stage 1: The orcs from the Hobbit. Stage 2: Shrek but evil. Stage 3: Patrick Zala if he was a wizard. Stage 4: Kill Bill where Bill estranged the Bride through his actions, and if the Bride could cast Fireball. Stage 5: The Nazis from That Mitchell and Webb Sound.
That last one reminds me of a story i heard. Its somewhere on youtube so i wont go into too much detail but pretty much, the party saved someone who ended up becoming a king, and they went on to help that king, a paragon of goodness and a servant of his people, secure his kingdom. As they go on, a number of things happen. The orc tribes are united under this king. The smiths of these tribes work together to forge the king a suit of armor modeled after orcish legends; black metal, more msde of blades and spikes than actual armor. I dont remember much else but I think my point is clear, as every time the characters returned home to find a new "evil" addition to the kingdom, they have to ask "are we the bad guys?" (The king wasnt going through an obvious villain arc. He remained a servant of the people, and most of the stuff that made the party question who the villain was is just aesthetic)
First time DM, home brew campaign, Karsus came back as a lich and is trying to find the nether scrolls, he’s partnered with Thayans, has a blue dracolich under his control. **me sweating as the dracolich torches the first town the party is in, hoping the level 2 party doesn’t try to kill the dragon**
you walk into the empty throne room dressed all in black. you look around. as you do the door on the far wall is flung open. “your time has come BBEG! we, the party of adventurers with no title, have come to put an end to your campaign of evil!” the lead adventurer shouts as he draws his sword. you look around confused. roll for initiative dearly at disadvantage.
I am planning to do something fun if I can ever get a game going, I am going to say before the game starts that I want to do a prolog and they will get premade characters after but I’m going to give them the ability to create level 20 characters for the prolog, near the end of it I will reveal via the generals of the demon kings, that they have been kids the whole time imagining being heros, snap cut away to years in the future, they all awaken with no memories, after a few sessions as they regain their memories they will discover they are the generals, they deciding they couldn’t be evil anymore asked fey to take their memories and memories of them from the minds of all, to be given a chance to do things right. Likely will be derailed early on but I think it would be cool.
When I started DMing Stage One: Look guys it’s a grotesque monster, kill it and get gold Stage Two: Look guys it’s a grotesque monster, but has morals, kill it and get gold Stage Three: This guy here? He’s terrible, he killed a wolf pack so he could have an undead wolf pack, kill him and get gold Stage Four: Your best friend that you made two campaigns ago, and have become emotionally attached to, who sent you on the quest for the ruby of revival was actually the bad guy all along, kill him and be crowned saviours of the feywild Stage Five: It’s that npc from a different campaign that we all collectively agreed was a dick and should burn in a pit, kill him and I’ll give you a funky item and two levels Bonus stage: I had a nightmare about a deity peeling itself out of a painting and being consumed with so much anger that she killed thousands, granted she’s angry because the village you are staying in slaughtered her babies and killed her dragon husband, she doesn’t even actively attack you guys, but you were sent by the village to discard of her because she is haunting them...what do you mean you won’t do it? She will kill you...eventually...okay fine you can kill the village and she will become your patron from now on.
Not even lying, that was legitimately me, i went afk for a few days cause I got bored of playing helldivers 2 for a moment after I had already started an operation when the bots first counter-attacked and I could go there. I am sorry.
i’m currently on, bbeg is really pissed his old high school friends grew up and don’t adventure with him anymore and blames it on magic cats by non wizards
I just retired my character in our onlinr campaign because he became to powerfull and fucked up and i allowed the DM to use him as the BBEG for us later on
Stage 6: Turns out that Orc guy you killed was actually a really nice guy, and you were justing being racist. You're the BBEG, and a party of "monster" race adventures including an Orc, Goblin, Hobgoblin, and Kobold, come after you to avenge the kind Orc chief you brutally murdered.
Then the final stage: a big evil orc, who is big and evil
Yes, this is true understanding.
True first session moment
The big evil Orc who is evil because he was created by an inherently destructive and abusive society.
This is after the DM has read a few sociology and psychology books and is currently outraged by systematic injustice.
I was waiting for that to be the punchline
I came here to say this
maybe the real BBEG are the friends we made along the way
Quite literally 😂
In the end we all were the big evil orc, who is a bad guy, that is evil
Stage 1: The orcs from the Hobbit.
Stage 2: Shrek but evil.
Stage 3: Patrick Zala if he was a wizard.
Stage 4: Kill Bill where Bill estranged the Bride through his actions, and if the Bride could cast Fireball.
Stage 5: The Nazis from That Mitchell and Webb Sound.
And they still try to make him a better person after i said "he eats toddlers for breakfast"
I mean we eat pigs and cows. It just happened that eating toddlers is perfectly ok in his mind. You can't really blame him for that.

The only person who could possibly contend with the party's antics: the party...
The fifth stage looks amazing
First time DM, home brew campaign, Karsus came back as a lich and is trying to find the nether scrolls, he’s partnered with Thayans, has a blue dracolich under his control. **me sweating as the dracolich torches the first town the party is in, hoping the level 2 party doesn’t try to kill the dragon**
No Dice, I can't get enough of your content, so I subscribed!
Stage 6: a big bad orc
I really thought stage 5 was just going to be stage 1 again.
Stage 6: go fight Oscar three Grouch in his Fortress of Garbage, protected by his holy armor.
That's my plan now since the bastards derailed my ENTIRE CAMPAIGN'S PLOT AT LEVEL THREE.
i am indeed level1
you walk into the empty throne room dressed all in black. you look around. as you do the door on the far wall is flung open. “your time has come BBEG! we, the party of adventurers with no title, have come to put an end to your campaign of evil!” the lead adventurer shouts as he draws his sword. you look around confused. roll for initiative dearly at disadvantage.
YOU ARE AWESOME! ❤❤❤
That second one is definitely shrek
Really needed to make sure the bad guy was evil😮💨
I went through all 5 stages in my first session
When he said that 3rd one i was like is that mr feeze
Stage: 6
Capitalism.
They never commied right. I’m the only one in history smart enough to make it work. If they only tried communism in my flavor.
Ah yes, the Brendan Lee Mulligan stage
Capitalism is simultaneously the last stage and potentially every previous stage, depending on the circumstances.
@@WEB-0813 Brennan*
Stage 6: the bbeg is evil just bc they want to be
2 sounds kind of like the boar from princess mononoke
Stage 5: Classic "wait, r we the bad guys?"
Stage six: Thats the bad guy, fight
So good 😂

Bonus stage: I had a nightmare about a deity peeling itself out of a painting and being consumed with so much anger that she killed thousands, granted she’s angry because the village you are staying in slaughtered her babies and killed her dragon husband, she doesn’t even actively attack you guys, but you were sent by the village to discard of her because she is haunting them...what do you mean you won’t do it? I started off at stage 5 im running my first campaign and i already have the bbeg planned its the players
That's not gonna work out unless explicitly stated to the players. It would suck if my DM pulled a BS "Actually you're evil."
Stage 6: the evil Wizard is evil because the players made him bald (aka the Lex Luthor :V)
Not even lying, that was legitimately me, i went afk for a few days cause I got bored of playing helldivers 2 for a moment after I had already started an operation when the bots first counter-attacked and I could go there. I am sorry.
Stage 6
Dragon. Roll initiative.
Villans aren't born (They're made)
Musical artist, Peggy. 😁
honestly I just started at lvl 2.5, who else?
Then theres stage 6 brennon lee mulligan
i’m currently on, bbeg is really pissed his old high school friends grew up and don’t adventure with him anymore and blames it on magic cats by non wizards
I just retired my character in our onlinr campaign because he became to powerfull and fucked up and i allowed the DM to use him as the BBEG for us later on
Big evil orc who is big and evil is my current bbeg XD tho more Disney evil then anything
Did you just take Mr frost's background
🫵 When you've found the real villain all along
