Nice save!
Looks to be a 1st gen Mc91, 1966 or 1967. It has the 1st design low intake and smooth bore carb on it.
That's because it is. It was the only one of the 90 series to have a painted block.
Great job getting it going.
nice find
You don’t just find these in a junkyard? Ebay most likely
Facebook in a group is where i got it but yes they can be had in junkyards
What's the name of part number for those carb kits?
I have no clue, I just know they are pressure pulse carbs, similar kit to the Walbro BDC series
That would make an interesting lawnmower 🙂
J8/C has a 3/8" reach, that square head generally requires a 7/16" reach plug like a B7HS.
straight bore carburetor with no venturi is the least desirable carb to use.
The engine is what it is. May sit on a shelf for awhile till I figure out what to do with her. May just toss into a saw frame and send it hard since I have saw frames laying around.
How did these work in Karts? Just direct drive?
Depends on if a person had it direct drive or put a clutch drive on it.
Needle bearings on pto and roller bearing on flywheel. 92/93/mc had roller bearing on both pto and flywheel
Yup, why the 92 and up had roller is beyond me. I know a guy could get the block modifed to have roller but this one I think will be fine.
Best way to find your old socket is to go and buy you a new one! 😂😂👍👍
Thats exactly what I had to do.
Yeah Boy!!! Great Spark!!! Woo Hoo!!! 😂👍.
Yore thumbnails are lookin good kid! 👌
Super huge thanks to Indiana Doug for making it (check out his channel, I'm trying to get it too 500 subs but 1k by the end of the year!!!)
And now you know why we use a belt or stick starter
I have a 101B and stroked 91a that will bite harder than this one. This girl is cake to start.
I'd would be finding that socket ,my sockets also have snap on on them iv been having them for 23years now,
