    Could suggest: that measuring from a finished floor to a framing floor you have to subtract that one finished floor. Such a a basement finished to a framing first floor.😊

    7 7/8" is written like this not 7 7/4".
    I understand its a typo. Great video and great simplified content

      How do you know the thickness of your riser and thickness of your tread?

      @@rmalus10297 it's the board you are going to lay down on the stairs. If you don't subtract it, the you will have a larger thread on the top step and a taller riser on the first step. Someone will trip.
