He's a good guy and he does deserve to be in the hall of fame.
He was inducted in 2009
He was better than a lot of wrestlers back then and had a better finisher than hogan the Ghostbuster was a great finisher
A great legend for those who dont know Wrestling history who believe wwe is all there ever was. This man was over and had a run in Mid South, and others for YEARS him JYD packed 15,000 seats arenas.
Legendary career.
And had a great 3 to 5 years run in WWE, he was OVER the people went crazy for him he had a Gold record which he sang lead on. How many can say that
The greatest drop kick ever.
I always liked him better when he wrestled in Memphis..Koko seems like a very humble person.
This is great... Coco still singin it.. :) I remember there was a brief time in 87 when he was doing promos with a harmonica.. Fun times!
He and mean gene " i feel good good good!with gene rockn next to him... and " feather weight! They are all feather weights! Lmaooooo i loved that about ware
Coco always comes across as a real down to earth nice guy:-))Also the years have been kind to him looks wise:-))
no, in general, blacks have good skin and age well
Koko should of been at least a IC champion. He could work his ass off.
Ghostbuster best finisher of all-time, no question
the people loved the koko
I was a young white boy in a small town of all white people. Who were the two coolest dudes I ever saw in my life? Junk Yard Dog (R.I.P.) and the Birdman Koko B. Ware. I don't know what it was but I you would think from my surroundings (and the level of racism I grew up in) that I would have been taught to hate them but somehow these guys were bigger than race. They were sooooo cool. I think guys like them and Ernie Ladd, and Ron Simmons and Butch Reed did more for race relations in my personal life than MLK ever did. No offence intended to anyone.
peace and respect. thank you for sharing your inspirational story
Thank you for saying that. I am glad that your views were changed by these men. MLK was great but he is not the end all to end all.
Chuck House yes. Racists wouldn't let blacks participate in team events bc it would propagate situations where a white man would depend on a black man in a team situation. They NEVER thought that whites would favor black boxers or track atheletes but we did. Soon after they said fuck it and put them on teams. It was the death of cultural racism. Sports did that, now racism is a house to house issue.
Appreciate you for sharing that story......Much respect
Bullshit! Stop yearning for people to blow smoke up your arse. Dip shit
Great talent!
Could someone please get him him to talk about why he kicked the crap out of the masked patriot
loved KoKo
Man could jump through the roof!
Lone wolf trucker 99 Ky he had one of the prettiest drop kicks of all time
Kaoko. n wase taught white boya alot giving them this alot.
When I grew up, we used to have "all in" royal rumbles in the paddock!!!😂. These royal rumbles were the mastermind of my older cousin. It didn't matter which day we played these matches but he being older than the rest of us picked our characters... Mine was none other than the Birdman Koko B Ware... I used to moan my ass off for that because I'd want to be the ultimate warrior!!! And when I'm Koko B Ware he always expected me to get thrown out of our makeshift ring first... And because I wanted to be the Ultimate Warrior which he was all the time. I'd last in our make up ring for longer just to piss him off... But props to the Birdman it's cool that I can hop in RUclips and relive awesome wrestling moments from the old WWF.👍👍👍🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿
I remember him vividly as the PYT as a heel and face..I wonder why WWE never used as a heel except when he did the Blue Blazer angle
I know this is old but i bet he looks exactly the same now in 2021
Very talented superstar. I get that they used him to enhance talent, but they treated him so bad having such a quick but good match with Rick Martel at Wrestle Mania VI and having a squash match against Doink with no offense. He deserved much better but glad he made it to the Hall of Fame. Hes a wrestler everyone remembers because of his charisma and talent.
He took a little and made a lot of his career.he might've been a jobber but he was a Star(the zak Ryder of his time)
Way better worker than Ryder though.
the problem was he hit his prime way before he made it to the wwf. he was a hell of a worker and a good wrestler before all the stupid gimmicky shit the wwf did to his character. he was a main event guy in several territories and held titles in alot of the ones he was in, tag and singles titles. the man main went to to toe with ric flair. if he wouldve just stuck with what he was doin. gimmick wise pre wwf i think he couldve got over when he got there. he was a big name with a few different names. coco ware, sweet brown sugar and under a mask stagger lee. he was in great shape about 225 big shoulders well built amd could fly but there wasnt alot of flying done in memphis but other places he got to do more of that. he wrestled whoever the big names were in whatever territory he went. man had one if the prettiest drop kicks in wrestling history. he may not have been what he coyldve been in the wwf but he was a beast before he got there
HORRIBLY edited. But gotta love Koko B Ware!
Stagger Lee or Sweet Brown Sugar?
he should've had a heel run was better then roma and genius who got heel runs
Sweet Brown Sugar and PYT Express were his heel runs.
He was a jobber.
basically, yes
not really....a "jobber" don't wrestle at wrestlemanias
Jobber? See his match with Ric Flair in Memphis.
Alex Batey and don't forget all the titles he won in memphis.
kcdesert2 No, he got to win. He only jobbed to the big names.
