"Tor saves lives. Every time you use Tor you are giving cover to those who need it to stay alive." --Bruce Schneier
Worth listening to.
At 19:27 Bruce is talking about a backdoor trying to be inserted into Linux. What exactly is he referring to? Something more recent than this freedom-to-tinker.com/blog/felten/the-linux-backdoor-attempt-of-2003/ ?
Should we still trust the on chip AES extensions on Intel and Apple A+ chips?
If RC4 is being broken (with any degree of ease) we're boned... most sites still enable it, and most browsers don't reject it. In fact, go take a look at what you're connecting to facebook/gmail with right now, there's a good chance it is rc4.
I'm just using instaload.de/en to send critical data full encrypted... the right step in the right direction, I think.
makes me feel like a muddy barbarian looking at the alleged real news. my two fave comments are 1. script kitties attack every 30 seconds which is a front for the nsa and 2. crypto-paranoids (new band name) thanks so much for this one.
TrueCrypt is the best of what alternatives? Better than dm-crypt and some other thing? I always assumed dm-crypt was the most trustworthy.

Snowden
The nsa would never want snowden walking around talking about encryption and the possibility of the nsa being info-raped.
He's clearly legit.
