Why don't we implement fast efficient processors that just do encryption and other security tasks and implement them in all client machines? If the CPU needs a doc encrypted it just sends it to that chip or chips and it will encrypt or decrypt it while the CPU works on other things. If we need to securely store passwords the chip(s) could do that as well. They could also help speed up client security software like Snort, Norton, Kaspersky, etc. so they don't take up too much CPU recourses to do their much needed work.
