If the food is a problem time to not starve yourself while hiking to a point of engorging while in town. Grab some good protein options to help sustain daily momentum outside of the girl bag. Good health is vital while out there. You’re doing great!
Day 13 finished just past Cold Spring Shelter, at about mile 126. Averaging a little less than 10 miles per day. At present pace, you will finish the trail in 213 days, approximately on November 26. Last recommended day to summit Katahdin is Oct 15 - pick up the pace Billy Blue! YOU CAN DO IT!
Your thoughts on vlog vs live and AT or somewhere else. 1. You enjoy the lives more 2. You like nature and City mix more for food and sleeping 3. You enjoy snipers 4. Your channel does better with lives financially and subs. (Ohio and England proved that.) You've proven you can camp on a regular basis and hike over 100 miles on mountain train. There are many trails with this miss. 1. Greenway trail from Maine to Key West (could start that now) 2. Trail from New Hampshire to Ohio and beyond 3. El Camino trail Many more trails like this as well. You don't have to always hike the whole thing by mixing in Sniper rides, busses, trains and Ubers.
You could do a hike starting now to New York then fly to France do the El Camino then England then onto Southeast for the winter. Don't have to do long streams each day...some days do a coffee and dinner stream for a hour or 2.
@@nigel8499 not really my advice as much as his own. Just believe he possibly may think its quiting the trail if he stops...I look at as a detour to a different path. Should be more about the enjoyment of the journey not the destination.
I would suggest in terms of actually completing the trail that you spend the next 30-60 days grinding out 20-25 miles a day. Tell pops to provide food supply and enjoy his hotel stays as you’ll be hiking seriously.
Yea, as one of his main struggles is bad sleep in the tent. One needs to condition himself by avoiding hotels. The transition back-n-forth is part of what leads to bad sleep in the tent. Realistically, to get er done before the flakes fly, he's gotta do 10.91666 per day on avg., but could still see some white in Oct. with that accomplished
Big river 4" deep. I'm here for the fun. You've got a video on here that says 13 days ago was "Day 3". Now, 13 days later we're at "Day 13". Something doesn't add up.
It checks out, amigo. He's had 3 "Zero" days, out of the first 15 days (20%), with 12 actually on the trail, plus 5 nights in a hotel with OG, although he said 5 days ago he had already had five nights in a hotel, and has had more since then, so that doesn't add up. See ya.
Doing great..pump it up
All these nights in hotels, you will be a diamond status member soon!
yeah, shanon the fraud

These vlogs aren't exactly up to date I don't believe. He was playing catch up for awhile so I'm guessing that's still the case somewhat.

Charlie rarely listens to sense unfortunately.

Thanks Jeff you bring up a lot of good points.
Great One. Big Ups.
OG is a life saver
He's made it easier, and at the same time made it more difficult with the MGSOTG.

Massive Ups Sir Blue!!! Keep up the good work, Hope you make it to McAfee Knob near Roanoke, named for my 6th Great Grandfather, James McAfee.
Was he a knob?
Good ratio of hotel to camping. You have to take it easy first month.
Best day so far in my opinion 👌 (except minor fall).
Some beautiful days in spring.. if sun is shining warm birds singing.. the mountains. Sun light better videos.. keep going CC
he hiking with a gangster?
Keep it up CC. Your hardest part will be past you soon.
That Casio Watch…
Very retro 👌
Best selling watch of all time! F91w. Both Obama and Osama wore one.
Keep pushing thru the trail CC. Sometimes its challanging but when you overcome you get true satisfaction.

Nice weather and sunshine really makes a difference. Great day 💪
Keep going Charlie. You will be glad if you do.
