    Love Aaron's clarity of thought and how he chooses to articulate what he wants to convey, a lot of PM interviews are also about showcasing that you're the right fit for the team and that the interviewers would love to work with you! Watching this 3 years down, but thanks for putting this one together Diego!

    On a side note, I love your aura, Diego and how you always seem so composed, accommodating and humble.. it adds a lot of weight to what you say :)

    Thanks for this video. As busy as startup or FANNG companies go, we still need to take care of our physical and mental health first. =)

    "Bald bearded and glasses" , I should never have got LASIK :- ) . Excellent and inspirational path to product management and how important it is to reframe a background and highlighting of transferable skills.

    Thanks so much for sharing your video with us!!
    I've a question, between all these three positions: Product Manager vs Program Manager vs Project Manager, who's in the highest position? let me ask that in different way, if there was one issue related to all of them, who has the last decision?
    Thanks in advance!

    Great information and conversation. There are so many myths floating around the PM role at several companies, including Amazon. This conversation helps clarify a few of those myths.

    As a PM, I interviewed with Amazon in 2017, but wasn’t sure I wanted to relocate to Seattle, so never made it to the offer stage; fast forward to a post-Covid 2021 world, I’m wondering if remote candidates are now being considered? At the time, HR seemed pretty put off when I showed a slight hesitation to move 3000 miles

    30:30 Amazing point. Wish Indian startup PM Hiring managers understand the significance of this. Instead of projecting their sweat shop kind of culture as a badge of honour, it would be great if companies allow employees to be a great parent/daughter/son/wife/husband/bf/gf/human being and give enough band width to perform those duties and responsibilities.

      blaming all Indian Startup PM's sounds way too extrapolate. Not all PM's are alike. Not all startups are alike either. Good Luck with improving the work culture.

    What shall be career path for TPM?
    I mean do they grow into general management positions ?

    • @PMDiegoGranados
      @PMDiegoGranados  3 года назад +1

      Hi MS J, thank you!
      As for TPM, yes! You can grow into general management positions… IF you want to! One of the benefits of PM is that you can continue being an individual contributor all your career if you want, or you can be manager, it’s up to you!
      Think that the TPM May become general manager of a more technical product. In the case of Amazon, it could be AWS, or a part of it. Let me know if this helps

    "My boss looks like me as well, with beard and glasses". I acknowledge that is was said in jest. However, does that signal that women are not that common in senior product manager roles at Amazon - I don't believe that to be true and would like some senior women leaders as part of your interviews.
