Chris, I’m going to miss this project when complete. I’ve seen all types of work done here, trees coming down, digging huge amounts of dirt, replacing and rebuilding, it’s been the biggest treat seeing you and your team turn this into magnificence. Thank you. Glad you’re feeling better.
37 minutes and 1.4 K likes is most definitely proof that Chris Letsdig18 is easily one of the most popular channels on Facebook. Could it be the extreme quality of his content. His professionalism at what he does and the fact he goes well above the level of duty others on here do to keep us supplied with quality videos to watch. Ooh, and the face he explains his methods and equipment that anyone can understand no matter how much they may not know what he's doing.
I’ve been so fascinated with this pond refurb, I’ve watched every vid from the start and I have nothing to do with excavations or the like, I actually work on historic aircraft lol 😆 well done on capturing my attention Chris. Can you put together a vid with your drone footage from start to filled pond, loved to see the full finish. All the best from the east coast NSW Australia 🇦🇺
@@mazdehay587 something very satisfying hey, weird but cool that I find someone digging mud and levelling rocks way way across the big pacific pond enthralling 🥴
I'm also an Aussie, Western Victoria and i love Chris's channel, great work, great thinker, enplanes what he is about to do quite well, even i understand it and great problem solver and the way he moves from one machine to another quite comfortably is real great, thank you Chris for your video's! 🙂👍
It was so satisfying to watch to see all the final jobs being done and everything being cleaned up. I loved watching every bit of this project and will miss it.
Really like how you used the materials you had on hand. You can tell you out a lot of thought into how you designed it and it turned out perfect. Really enjoyed the series.
You are a true artist, not only due you make a pond a piece of art work but even a a pile of rubbish concrete. I must admit I love this stage of your projects and have even thought of skipping through to the end. But then you miss out on the sweat and tears as it develops and yhen you just appreciate even more. Well done done Chris you arethe one person you can really trust.😊
Hi ftom uk chris and all👋👍 excellent job on the spillway chris👌 never thought you could make a roadway on a spillway but in your work I definitely trust👍the water will very minimally get to that point I know you go above and beyond👌 this has been a great project for us all apart your bug of course (maybe should of buried the bug behind dam 😂 hope your ok tho mate still just getting on with it and appreciate you for that 💪 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon👍👋
As far as fish habitat or “structure” a bucket wide channel cut into the bottom of any pond or lake would be WONDERFUL! Thanks for your great content, Chris!
THIS project has really shown how INVOLVED, and LABOR INTENSIVE, these pond rehabs can become. 🤯 YOU did such a great job here, Chris, the owner should be VERY pleased. 👍 Saw you mixing your own 2B modified in the haul truck...smart...and cheaper. 👏
If after this project and the "experts" still try to tell you how you should've done it we can all just give up hope they'll ever learn. You are a dirt magician! Every thing just always ends up absolutely perfect. Mind blowing.
It is refreshing to see a grading contractor do a first class job. I've had many years of dealing with folks who want only to do just enough to get by. Beautiful work!
Wow what a difference from what you started with. The water has risen and looks a lot cleaner now. Bet the fish are happy. It's looking great, awesome job.

Hey Chris it is both an honor and privilege to watch your videos if anybody deserves a channel award because you your integrity your honesty and your peer progress and knowledge of content is fascinating I will always enjoy watching your videos from beginning to end
All the tree huggers that criticise you should take note of the eco points of this site. Using on site materials. Much fewer road miles and less fuel used. Making water storage more secure. Reusing old concrete. Directing over flows into natural water courses. Its all good. Not just decorations.
If located in an area with winters cold enough to sustain sufficient ice, that pond would make a superb playground for winter games and sports! Chris, you're a master of your art and it's clear that you do not resort to lazy or dishonest short cuts on the job. Your commentaries are informative and your careful use of machinery is exemplary.
👍Looks like the stars aligned pretty well for this project. Enough mud for the viewers, near perfect clay pit to do a nice wide dam renovation, good placement space for the waste material including the old concrete products, and a couple of workers that meshed pretty well with Chris' work flow. Thanks for sharing and feel better.
Now all your hard work deserves some good extra protection with this extra spillway and this is the most clay fill I ever seen added to any of your existing dam structures.
This may be my favorite project that you've done. Seeing the beginning to end transformation and all the precision and hard work in between, even while you're sick is amazing. You are truly talented, and this project turned out so beautiful. Great Job.
I HAVE BEEN WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS FOR A FEW YEARS NOW AND I MUST SAY THAT THIS JOB AND THE ONE YOU DID ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO BUSTING UP ALL THAT ROCK TO BUILD WHAT I THINK WAS A ANIMAL HOSPITAL HAVE BEEN YOUR TOUGHEST JOBS TO DATE!!!!.GREAT JOB...CANT WATE TO SEE THE NEXT PROJECT.
Really coming together now Chris !! Glad your feeling a bit better too Man... That Big Grading Bucket is a must have , ya know it ? lolol.... Works so, so good on the finishing. Hey Chris, did you see that nice Pick up , up there by those gravel piles, Man you really have it set up nice !! Well, have a Great Evening , and , On too the Next !!
Lots accomplished on the pond dam as depicted in this video. Great to see the grading bucket out - means things are coming together. Wondered when the grout bucket would be moved - easy done! Good to hear you are feeling much better - being crook is no fun.
Wow, amazing project. You are not only an excavator pro, you can see finished project and landscape it. Have so enjoyed this series! God's blessings and get some rest!
saw once in the 70's I think, a feature in the news, about how an Åkerman's excavator (formerly Volvo) pressed a cork in a bottle without it breaking. This is to show how far you have come with the precision of the hydraulics then. But it certainly required such a skilled "operator" as you. Get well. by the way wonderful to see you play with the "right scoop" 😀
If you look back in Chris's archive their is a challenge (I think it's with Dirt Perfect) for picking up a raw egg and sitting it on top of a bottle without breaking it!
Great use of the concrete. Better than paying to haul it away. I think the spillway looks great-I was waiting to see what you’d do with it. The whole project has turned out great. What an improvement!
I know that you are a busy man Chris with work and the videos but on this video it would have been awesome to see you do the final grade on Timelapse on the pond dam. The pond dam looks as wide as a county road lol. Very cool
Damn looks excellent 👌 spillway on its way to being awesome I'll say another prayer to get you feeling better For feeling bad you sure get alot of top shelf work done!
Glad your feeling better than the 10% you felt yesterday, I wish we had ponds like that over here in the UK more, I'd love to be able to do what you do everyday.
Prayers toward your continuing improvement in feeling better. Great job as always. Kinda bittersweet on this project,I've enjoyed watching the process. Hate to see it come to an end. Looking forward to all that follows. I'm still going back and watching your older videos. I like them all but ponds are by far my favorite. Keep on keeping on Brother!
Gotta feel real good to be placing the finishing touches back on this project. Very interesting and enjoyable to go along with you on this long project. Hope the head cold gets better as the days go by, and am already looking forward to the next projects in hopes that you take us along on them too. Appreciate all the extra care and work to get the video's worked up for us to enjoy. thanks
Great job as usual Chris. For those wanting to build a bass pond, instead of one for irrigation I would have left the ridge of mud as well as put a lot of the concrete in the pond. Building berms, underwater humps and channels creates a varied topography on the bottom which is key for a productive fishing pond. Bass need ambush points and prey fish need cover.
Happy you are feeling better and your portfolio of video's have got to have you backed up with countless work, Nice job, Chris. p.s. Thanks for taking is along for the ride.
