The story of how Ren met Sam is lovely. Ren was walking past and heard Sam singing, no mic, no amp and offered his stuff up. @ Admire your self control, when I first discovered Ren, I binge listened 24/7. 😂 He has a beautiful personality too, unpretentious, wise, smart and funny. Enjoy your travel through the Reniverse. Greetings from 🇳🇴
As lighting a touch paper, Ren explodes your musical horizons and appreciation, opening your brain and receptiveness. We are so conditioned by decades of artists being forced into genres by record labels and he's swept the whole approach aside to bring it all together, doing everything really well with his own unique style. Like jazz musicians play by ear, I've never seen Ren read music. He taught himself to play guitar and piano mainly from watching RUclips videos and therefore, his sound is always natural rather than programmed or conditioned. Discovering Ren has been a musical Renaissance for many people, and the artists he surrounds himself with are in their own separate ways always magical too. Once the door is opened, there's no going back.
Haha Bean knows when I'm recording, she just wants the spotlight! Next time I'll show her to everyone (I accidently misgendered her in the video😅, oops)
Ren doesn’t always play the song on the guitar that Sam is singing. Sometimes he does, but other times he plays something in the same key but is improvising around a part he likes. The day Ren & Sam met, Ren offered to accompany Sam on guitar & loan him his mic because 16 year old Sam was singing accapella & nobody could hear him. Ren didn’t know the songs Sam was singing for the most part, but the audience couldn’t tell. 😂
My favorite part is the black guitarist off to the left having an almost fit when Ren starts playing jam rock 😂! He just walks off like "well shite" 👍🇺🇸🌵
You must not have listened to that first one, if you haven’t heard Ren sing like this. You should go back and react to that one, too: Earned it, Man’s World, Falling
It’s good to see you break out the guitar in the reactions. I think quite a number of people (reactors included) have been inspired to pick up and try to learn guitar after enjoying so many Ren videos. You could do well to bring more of your music knowledge to these reactions. It would really separate you from a lot of other reactors. Keep it going 🔥😀👍
I feel late to the party today! Thank you for Ren and Sam! Blund-eyed is a song they wrote together and went viral for them in the summer of 2018. Ot wassoon after Ren was well enough to perform and gave him his 2nd chance at a real career in music. Busking allowed him to work when he felt well enough, since he always deals with symptoms. His voice is a force of nature.
Great reaction!! Thank you. Definitely go back to the first busking selection that came up on this spin. You said you had seen it but if so, you would have heard both Ren's singing voice as well as Sam Tompkins'. That video is truly a wonderful introduction to Ren's singing voice! After that, to continue experiencing Ren's singing voice in Live format, go to the catalogue of The Big Push, which is the band Ren and three other fantastic busking musicians formed. The first of The Big Push songs to see is I Shot the Sherrif/Road to Zion/Hip Hop. There are several versions of this, so you must see the one from The Big Push catalogue and look in there for the video in which Ren is wearing red suspenders! It's important to see this live version because it is the Best one!! ALL of the rest of their busking videos are also recommended as Ren performing with The Big Push is another whole universe. (They met as buskers and much of the music is live, right there on the street. But they also have studio performances and location pieces that are also totally Fantastic! They perform covers of artists they enjoy plus their own original songs.) I'm not exaggerating to say that Ren's singing voice, as well as those of super-talented Gorran Kendall and Romain Axisa in The Big Push, will constantly surprise and delight. I Can't Wait for you to review more of what Ren has given the world. I'm now a new subscriber ;-)
Thanks for all this! I have posted another react where I went back to that 1st video, turns out I haven't seen it! Be sure to check it out as I wip out the electric to jam along with the boys! Thanks for subscribing!
So I'm not clinically diagnosed, mostly because I can't afford doctors lol, but from what ive read and witnessing friends who are neurodivergent I'm definitely on the spectrum. I feel like it's a super power though! I get so obsessed with tiny little details which is great when you're recording and producing your own music!
@@wynandfouriemusic in the rabbit hole of REN…is FUN! 🔥🎶🎶🎸💯🎤 He’s self taught on guitars. He plays BASS very well in his Old Band.. The Big Push! REN is a New Music Note. 😉😂
@@wynandfouriemusic ~ I can see your reply to the other and I just wanted to say that you're not alone on that. I'm not clinically diagnosed either, for much the same reason but, I have been "diagnosed by peer review" as my son's friends put it. He's in the process of trying to get a specific diagnosis and he has a lot of friends who are diagnosed on the spectrum, by a doctor. They call themselves his "Peer Review Board". I mean, I feel like it's obvious about me, if you have a conversation of any length with me. 😂😂😂

They have been friends ever since. They wrote a song together called Blind Eyed that went globally viral (several great versions incl a fan fav Blind Eyed ft Angry car park attendant) Sam recently released his first album which charted in the U.K. & is doing his first tour. You should have Ren Fred Again Mashup on your wheel (5 EDM songs turned into an acoustic performance)

@@wynandfouriemusic It's true, the Renegades are really encouraging and supportive... but some of us come in hot and for some, that can be overwhelming. It's just that we're so eager to share and there really is an amazing catalog to go through. And for some of the less strong minded reactors, I worry that their individual unique voices will be lost to us. I myself am a huge proponent of going back to his teen years with Trick the Fox as well because it's so amazing to see him at such a young age already embodying so much personal integrity, intelligence, and amazing musicianship while clearly still sussing things out. Personally, I find it cool that you like to try and pick up on what Ren's playing. Good stuff!
It's tough not gonna lie! haha
Hey, great reaction ❤ I don't think you've reacted to that first vid..Earned it/ Mans World/Falling, as you mention here you've not heard Ren sing like this. It world be a real shame not to watch it as it's part of the same busking session and BRILLIANT... Thanks 👍 ❤
Yes I just saw the red line at the bottom of the video which means you've watched the video through, but I realised now it wasn't me who watched it, my YT account was connected to our smart tv in a house share situation I was living in and that's probably where one of my housemates must have watched it. Ill do a follow up video to this one where I react to that video!
Ahh I see, yes, that makes perfect sense 😅 so somebody in your house also a fan ❤. Thanks so much for playing it soon, you'll love it xx❤
@@allabouttheart This must have been a few years ago! I move around A LOT. But yes I will try to film a reaction of Earned it/ Mans World/Falling video tomorrow!
Great reaction. Ren is multitalented. Cannot wait to see you discover more of Ren ❤️
The rabbit whole is deep! 'He is beginning to believe'
Truth! No going back now
Cats are always a welcome interuption.
Haha Bean knows when I'm recording, she just wants the spotlight! Next time I'll show her to everyone (I accidently misgendered her in the video😅, oops)
Great! Since you like their ranges, you'll absolutely love them two doing "Latch" live busking! The high harmonies are insane!
@deportedsouls3165 I'll check if it's on the wheel!
Oh damn I think I missed that!
Sam’s currently on tour he’s another raw talent 💫
Saw Sam weekend just gone and was incredible live.
REN is the master of all wait to be mind blown
Stoked!
You must not have listened to that first one, if you haven’t heard Ren sing like this. You should go back and react to that one, too: Earned it, Man’s World, Falling
Definitely! I won't even spin the wheel for that one!
Ren is a portal to all things music new and old… Sam and Ren together are just a delight… Ren is a style… Thanks so much!
🫶🏻♥️🫶🏻
It seems like Ren is a lifestyle! And I'm here for it!
Now you see why we call Ren a 🦄 in a world of GOATs 😊
True!
Cool, thanks! Ill keep that in mind, next time ill have my electric close by!
Great reaction thanks! Ren's voice makes him also a chameleon 🦎😄
Totally!
It truly is!
This is ONE of Ren's many voices, styles and tones! :)
Stoked!
You need to are Ren -ready for you, heretic, everybody drops, spontaneous stream jam and dominoes lyric video ❤❤❤
Please are these songs to wheel 😊
On it!
Hello fellow autistic person ❤ you’re in good company! There are loads of neurodivergent people in Ren’s fanbase and Ren himself has got ADHD ❤
Hi! Me too! Just wanted to say Hello! ❤
Hi! Great to have you here! Sending love
Definitely need to check out Sam's music!! Lose It All is phenomenal.
I love when Ren's music inspires reactors to grab an instrument right then and there. ❤
💯
Loving Sam's voice!
So much talent in these two...Wow....great reaction thanks appreciate you👍
I appreciate you right back!
Ren met Sam busking. Ren took him under his wing at first then Sam exploded. He is touring all over now. I think he is in the US at the moment or at least he was. They did do a song together that you will love. It's called Blind eyed
Just shows the power of the reneffect! Blind Eyed is on the wheel! Hopefully Ill get to play it soon!
Great reaction 😊 you will have more “speechless” moments as you journey down the magical rabbit hole 😝
Epic! Thanks for watching with me! As the great Morpheus once said 'He's beginning to believe'
Thank you for reacting to my favourite artist ever subscribed for more Ren please am going to enjoy this rabbit hole your going down sending big love from the UK ❤❤
Sure thing!
**ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED ** congratulations! You have discovered new ren friend sam tompkins 😊 "I didnt know he had that kind of range, thats his voice!?" ....oh, sweet summer child. Prepare yourself for rens singing voice. Its so good 😂💜💜 also, just remember, with ren you have to ALWAYS expect the unexpected 😁
I can see that! haha love that Im a sweet summer child
Heck. Friggin. Yes.
Amazing music, amazing reaction, amazingly growing community in these parts!
Love ya, homie! Keep moving forward!
You go Walter!
All thanks to you my dude! Love ya!
Great Ren reactions and really like your music too, especially... Let Me Get Over You and Drift Away!!
Haha 'Let me get over you and drift away' is actually such a great sentence 🤔
It’s different every time with Ren. Can you imagine walking down the street and happening upon a performance lie this.
That must be quite the experience! How can you NOT stop and watch in awe
If you like sam and ren together you should check out 'what went wrong part 1 and 2' and also there 'bkind eyed' but also ren and victus 'down on the beat' ❤
I love your Renlette wheel so much! This is such a fun way to explore Ren's catalog! There's something about letting fate decide what you hear next that I just love! Your reactions are fantastic. I'm so happy that the Renegades have flocked to your channel so quickly. Congratulations! ❤️💐
The Renegades have been so lovely!
@@wynandfouriemusic ~ They're such a wonderful group of people, from so many different places and so many different age groups! Just a big ball of joy, love, and music! ❤️
Back on 74/message in a bottle is epic highly recommend!!!
Can't wait!
❤❤❤
Ren came across Sam busking accapella when Sam was 16 and Ren in his early 20s. He offered his mike, speaker, and played guitar for him so he could get more attention & make more money.
They have been friends ever since. They wrote a song together called Blind Eyed that went globally viral (several great versions incl a fan fav Blind Eyed ft Angry car park attendant)
Sam recently released his first album which charted in the U.K. & is doing his first tour.
You should have Ren Fred Again Mashup on your wheel (5 EDM songs turned into an acoustic performance)
It was actually the 1st video to go on the wheel! I hope I land on it soon!🤤
I told you nothing would be the same after Ren , the big push and those he has worked with. by listening to all kinds of flavours it can inspire your own creative juices. You are in for a roller coaster ride for sure 😁
Creative juices have already been inspired, I feel like I should right a song about this whole journey
@wynandfouriemusic excellent, that was quick, I'd wait a little while longer though because you've only just begun....get ready and take it all in 🙂
Back on 74 please.
Oh and welcome to the Reniverse.
It's on the wheel!
Back to support your Ren journey.
Stacie from Boston
Thanks Stacie!
Great choice. Like that wheel : )
Thanks!
Ren is a whole scope in himself. Range, you’re just getting started. He’ll be a great way to explore many styles. Thank you for sharing your thoughts journey and your own music. Thank you. Peace and love
Peace and love right back at ya! Thanks for joining in on the journey
#Renagades Subed for much more Ren!
The wheel is just growing every day, I need to make some more content quick!
😀...and you have so much more to hear from Ren ✊
The journey is young! We are only on Season one, episode 4!
Walking on the Moon was by The Police a band from England that was very popular in the late 70s and into the 80. The band members were Sting,Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland. They had hits with Roxanne, Every Breath you Take, Message in a Bottle among others.I'm hoping you have Back on 74/Message in a bottle on your Renlette wheel. It's another version of Ren and i think you would enjoy it.
It's on there! I really love Sting's song 'Desert Rose'
@@wynandfouriemusic Fantastic! I love Desert Rose, it's a beautiful song. I don't think Sting writes songs that aren't beautiful in some aspect. Among my other Sting favourites is If I Ever Lose My Faith In You and Fields of Gold.
@@lorih2853 Ill check them out!
Goeiedag 😊 Wynand. I really enjoyed this reaction to Ren too, and I´m glad you get to know his musical friends too (Sam Tompkins, also Chinchilla, Bibi, Eden Nas, Liv, the Big Push...). BTW , thank you for putting my two suggestions on your wheel 😍 ! But one of them is just called Dominoes. What I put between brackets (the Message!) is just my comment ("what an important message"), it´s not part of the title 😉... Keep on doin´ what you do, I really like your song/video "She´s amazing" that I looked up yesterday...
Ah I see I will update the wheel thanks!
And thanks for taking the time to listen to my music!
Your REN wheel is cool, and so are your reactions! Your cat recognized the great music coming from your room and said, “Hey buddy, let me in; I gotta check this out!”
I know, Bean has great taste haha
Don't say sorry! If that's what your instinct is... follow it. That's wonderful that you're engaged that way. Some people will try to tell you how to do your reactions and it can be a kindness. BuI I believe each individual should follow the path they prefer. It's your channel and your journey. We're here for the ride. We shouldn't be taking the wheel - merely suggesting some places to stop along the way.
Words of wisdom indeed. ❤
You're right, I really appreciate the suggestions though! It's like ive found a whole community of spirit guides!
What you can rely on is that we AbSoLuTeLy 💯 ❤️Ren and it's truly so much fun for us watching others experience the fall into the Ren rabbit hole because it is a wonderful, beautiful place to be.
Sam a long time friend of Ren, Ren found him busking age 16 and lent him an amp and they have a few great collaborations including Blind Eyed (MC Session is a good version amongst many good versions). Ren is a music cheat code and I’ve never come across such an amazing versatile and important artist. Sam has the voice of an Angel and many great songs in his own right including Lose It All. For more busking check out Earned It / Mans World. This won’t be the only tears he brings to your eyes.
Epic! thanks for sharing!
Really enjoyed this react. The bit where you joined in was fire! Keep up the good work.
Haha couldnt help it! Next time Im getting my electric guitar!
Ren and Sam Tompkins have a few busking videos, they also have originals I don't know if they are on your wheel. Blind Eyed (there is a few versions) What Went Wrong 1and 2,
Sam also has great solo music on his page Time Will Fly, Lose It All, Dead To Me, Hero at the Hammersmith. And many more!
I love the wheel concept.
Thanks, some of these are on the wheel, Ive added What Went Wrong 1and 2!
Sam has loads of songs and covers on his RUclips!! One of the best singers I’ve come across ❤❤
His voice in this video blew me away, now I'm even more excited to jump into the rest!
Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤
Welcome 😊
You won me over with this one...your joy was evident, and I smiled THE ENTIRE VIDEO. So happy to see you pick up a jam along...IT SOUNDED GREAT!! I don't play but my ear is keen as far as I'm concerned lol and YEAH you were in there...Isn't a great feeling to be inspired?! New sub.
Glad I could win you over haha! Inspiration is a wonderful thing
There is nothing he can't do!! #RENegades Sam another best friend of Ren's also has some amazing solo songs!
Definitely want to check Sam's music!
It's truly a pleasure watching your reaction as you discover each of Ren's many facets!
Thanks for watching!
Pussy cat came to supervise - obs 😂 Think Ren n Sam put on this show to pay for a music video they were making at time. I can see you’ve been inspired. Appreciate your reaction. Thanks ❤
Do you know what music video?
@ ‘What Went Wrong’ - there are 3 parts to this but only two have been released. Sam hasn’t given permission for the third to be shown even tho’ Ren says it’s finished.
Sam is having his own moment now. Has several videos
I feel like I should have a Sam wheel at this point
Check out Blindeyed- several versions you could pair any with the angry carpark version as a dbl feature. They wrote it together.
Also REN’s Back on 74 / Message in a Bottle retake mash up is great he changed pitch and tempo to marry them.
I think you’d love Genesis.
Your intro sounded like this:
*Ah, it's time to relax
You know what that means
A glass of wine, your favorite easy chair
And of course, this compact disc
Playing on your home stereo
So, go on, and indulge yourself
That's right, kick off your shoes
Put your feet up
Lean back and just enjoy the melodies
After all, music soothes even the savage beast*
Offspring
:D
😂😂😂
Please react to that first one even if you may have seen before. It is Ren and Sam doing Earned it , Mans World and Fallin. I just mean if busking comes up again. I love the Renlette wheel!!
Turns out I haven't actually seen it so will definitely watch it soon!
Welcome to the Renegades. You are in for a lot of awesome music. Ren recommended Asaf Avidan. He is an interesting Musician as well.
Ill check it out!
You deserve it
Good morning Wynad, great reaction, I enjoyed watching you play along. I’m really enjoying your own music. I’ve started a music playlist on Amazon for you.
Much love.
Amazing thanks!
I’ve been a huge Ren fan since I came across him a year or so ago. It’s really cool to watch you enjoy his music. I really like your genuine style and your overall energy. And oh btw, you’re very good too. That Chili Peppers cover was fire!
Haha thanks for checking it out! I already owe a lot to Ren and Ive only heard 3 of his songs, pretty crazy!

You should check out Sam’s songs! Try “Lose It All” it’s a master class in falsetto control 😁 Loving the Renlette wheel! ❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
Im really loving his voice as well! Thanks for joining!
You want range "Back on 74/Message in a bottle" (Live Retake) or "Fred Again" Mashup.
He does the retake/mashups for the love of the music/artists or just the idea of the remix/production.
All on the wheel! hope to see them soon!
Yes, you need to hear Sam ! 1st, please play, BLIND EYED. Ren & Sam live at RC. ❤️ 8:55

Your intro reminded me of Time To Relax by The Offspring 😄 You got the right voice for it ^^
Love the wheel idea!
You're not he 1st to say this!, I haven't heard it, definitely need to check it out!

I believe ive got it on there but ill double check!
I love the Renlette Wheel. Cool idea. Great reaction.
Ren met Sam when he was in his early 20s and Sam was 16. Ren was walking home after finishing busking when he saw Sam busking but not drawing a crowd. He approached him and said that people couldn't hear him very well and that he would have better luck with a guitar and mic. He offered to let him use his mic and to play for him. He also gave him everything they made. The beginning of a beautiful friendship. Also, Sam's friend that was with him that day is now Ren's manager. Here is a link to that busking session that day.
