It's pointless to talk about what IF Bradford or Gresham didn't get hurt. You could say that for a lot of teams. I think a lot of guys grew up fast and set the tone for this season. Can't wait! Boomer Sooner!!!
Man, stanford is a good team and they won their BCS bowl for 2011. You really got to give them alot of respect. They got a good team, even without Toby Gerhart.
Injuries are part of the game. Don't be bitter about it. We were without 2 first round draft picks all season. We could've been in the national championship game if they were there. TX could've beat AL if Colt was in. Would've/Could've. Didn't. You are who you have. You guys had a great year. Don't act like a douche just because you came up a little short in a great game.
Injuries may be part of the game, but Oklahoma was really snake bit in 2009. By the time the Stanford game rolled around, OU was playing players in positions that they weren't designed to play in. Then OU sustains another ghastly injury during the Sun Bowl. I'm not talking broken pinky fingers, I'm talking surgery, season ending, and career ending injuries!
Here's my theory about OU. When they're expected to win their bowl game and are in the top 10, they lose, when they are NOT expected to win their bowl game and unranked playing a ranked team, they win.
This is such a great future classic. Yes it may not be the bcs or national championship. This game will still be seen as a great one down the line. BOOMER
@sooner5900 ...If we didn't have Sam Bradford? You know? The guy who won the Heisman in '08, who got injured on the first game of the season against BYU in '09.
@stylicho if you're saying bradford is overrated. Why did a bunch of people (that know more about football than you) vote him as the nations best player. just like Jwdunham7 said. get real
@Countrymusicnumber1 haha if only Andrew Luck would have played blah blah, ha if your gonna put it that way...if only our Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford and All-American tight end Jermaine Gresham would have played, that game would have been like 52 to 20 something!
No ua wouldn't have won they would have played a different defensive scheme also the gooners lost their best qb in game 1. I watched that game and noticed Gerhardt ended up with welts and bruises from all the hits but he was a real tough runner.
Crazy to think I was 9 years old at this game, and it was my first time in person at an OU game. Boomer Sooner!
Hope the sooners will be a top team next season, but it will be great to see Texas win the red river rivalry and a natl championship.
I love your videos. Thanks!

I loved watching this game. Good hard hits and tough playing. Doesn't hurt that we finally won a bowl game either. BOOMER SOONERS!
I miss this kind of offense OU had
ronnel lewis is a beast
Ronell Lewis was fun, you never knew when he was going to attempt murder on the field. Fun to watch.
I'm watching this in 2018 came to the comments to talk about Ronell Lewis. You beat me by two years haha Boomer Sooner
I had forgotten about him. Damn
Ronnell Lewis is tha MAN!!!
You know that if we had all our good players. Like our Heisman QB, TE, and all of them. We would have been probably in the top 10?
They said Oklahoma beat on Toby Greheart so much that after the game he was marked by numerous bruises. Gotta tip my hat to the tough guy.

What ever happened to Toby?
This was the last time we had a great defense. If it wasn't for the defense we would've lost more than 5 games.
Thankfully we finally have a great defense again. The sooners will be dangerous in 2021
Ronnell lewis= future super star his name will be remembered at ou after his career.
It was great to see the Sooners win a bowl against a very good Stanford team.
oklahoma is a power house

Liked the sooners D in this game even though their game wasn't perfect, they've done a pretty good job in adjusting with their depth.

With all honesty, I forgot all about this bowl game. Maybe, it’s my advanced age(42)!
Stanford played a really good game. OU really needed this win.

How do you get these clips?
4:27, 6:05 ronell lewis is a baaaaaaaad man!!!!! coaches say he is a freak of nature
Hopefully, this win gives us a bunch of momentum heading into 2010!
oklahoma was playing angry football. angry about their disappointing season
lol, you mean Stanford is lucky Oklahoma didn't have their heisman winning starting qb and all-american tight end. Get real.
@OUfootballAuthority And yes, I do give them complete respect. I was rooting for them in the Orange Bowl and I just love Andrew Luck.
stanfords my team love the cardinals
It's gonna be really CRAZY if several Big XII teams go to Pac 10 - wowzee WOOOO!!!
welp
Love it!
D
@jwill5587 did you even watch the game?
wasnt this the year that stanford like stood out all of a sudden? kicking the shit out of big teams in the pac 10 (12)
@stylicho,
Yep. Bradford is so overrated that he's only going to be the #1 draft pick in the NFL....... Get real!
Tomorrow, It all starts again.
Hopefully we can repeat the 2000 season =D
@bigpipin69 , Don't know if he'll be ready for the 1st few games.. Heard he's in a walking cast and has a positive attitude. That's all I know.....
It's the Stanford "Cardinal". You never add an "s" to the end of Cardinal.
Correct OU - doesn't hurt :)
Boomer Sooner baby!!
@stylicho - didn't know she had one.. XD
if only landry jones was this good now
@Countrymusicnumber1 haha if only Andrew Luck would have played blah blah, ha if your gonna put it that way...if only our Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford and All-American tight end Jermaine Gresham would have played, that game would have been like 52 to 20 something!
Isn't this the same team that destroyed USC 55-21?.. In their OWN house?! XD
@Brissan1 probably better since Oklahoma almost beat Texas without their starting QB.
Your mother was talking to me. I enjoyed that alot, Homescratch.. XD
Fyi. Boomer Sooner.
stanford is beats go andrew luck
so i hear that oklahoma might rematch stanford! :^/ intense.....
OKLAHOMA wins, folks get "ticked"! What's up with this?? Good grief!
i was so glad that cbs did tv game i hate abc and fsn is good to i hate abc commters
@soonerstd Haha true that. Boomer sooner.
BOOMER!!!!
Oklahoma where the sooners come sweeping down the plain. Go OU!
you guys know we would have beaten you, if only Andrew Luck didn't get injured.
