He just has too much political and personal baggage, and would have been a total disaster as the head of the Department of Justice. He's a real wack job, frankly speaking. Thank God, he had just resigned his seat in the House of Representatives to accept the AG podition as a Trump loyalist. Now, it looks as though Pete Hegseth is facing an uphill fight to be confirmed as Secretary of Defense. He is woefully unqualified to be the head of Defense. He reached the rank of major and has a decent service record in the military, nothing stellar, but has never run any large organizations or spent any time working in the Pentagon. So, we'll see just how many senators will actually defy Trump and vote against his confirmation.
