It wasn't exactly clear from the video; does the iPad Mini 6 perform better than the other A15 devices? I noted you didn't have it listed along with the iPhone models for recommended A15 settings. However the Mini 6 would be a "large screen" A15 device and therefore subject to the throttling you saw, correct?
Yes iPad mini 6 has better performance. The recommended settings for A15 iPhones are because of thermal throttling issues with cause the FPS to drop well below 60 FPS too frequently.
Can you do android version or low end android
I’ve been playing this game maxed out on all its graphics on my M1 iPad Pro, and I get the option still to setup the FPS above 60FPS and it’s really smooth.
I tested that but it's still 60 FPS
@@MrMacRight You need to show that in a video then because it seems a bit pointless to have the option to have a frame rate advice 60FPS? It must have gone above that some of the time surely?

Great vid as always but you didn’t mention the huge 3.6gb download after the initial 1.5gb from the appstore…. Or is this new?
3.6GB is nothing though, it's not even worth mentioning. Genshin Impact is like 20GB, Alien Isolation is over 10GB and Divinity: Original Sin 2 is about 17GB.
Modern devices have heaps of storage so it's not an issue....

Nice and amazing tech review. I live how this is the equivalent of Digital Foundry but for mobile. That being said, it is true that Grid is still King for now. A 15gb texture pack, better foliage and online multiplayer are needed for capable devices.
I find the interface of Grid really really outdated and old fashioned, gameplay is a bit old too now. I find Wreckfest to be much better is those regards.

You can't change that. I just zoomed the footage in the video so it fitted the aspect ratio better at 9:25.
why no support apple silicon MacBooks?
Bcause they'd be better off porting the full PC version than this version on Apple Silicon Macs

Wreckfest mobile is a wonderful port. But I dream of playing it with Ps4 graphics. So let's ask Handy Games to improve the graphics, I think they will do it.

Have been playing Wreckfest on iPad Air 5. Love it but no one to join me on multiplayer😢
60 fps mode deliver less frames on weaker chips maybe because physics updates at 60, and taxes cpu more
It’s honestly wild that this runs on a budget iPhone that came out 2 years before the game released on ps4
You can get in a few games but you need settings turned up to make it look decent but your mobile device will start cooking after a few rounds
Just hear to say there’s some decent keyboard supported games on ipad where you can make another video. Brawlhalla and that horror game with the flashlight and dolls are 2 but there’s more.
Where is a12?
They really should have given additional graphics settings so the higher end devices. Stuff like better AO, higher res shadow maps, and higher resolution textures as well as additional foliage

@@pipikakachu It wouldn't be PS5 level but it would be far closer to PS4 level. I doubt they'd expose all settings that the PC version has access too
@@crestofhonor2349 obviously but Alien isolation is better on an iphone 14 pro than on Ps4 pro. It has the same assets but also has filtering and antialiasing not found on ps4 pro
@@pipikakachu PS4 and PS4 Pro versions are almost identical besides resolution. Also for some reason most console games just use low texture filtering for some reason despite it being basically free in performance. So yes it could scale above PS4 but not quite to PS5 levels of performance as seen with the performance shown here
Not at all...Those feral idiots don't give us options to manually change graphics even if we have a very powerful phone but handygames does....Maybe for iOS feral is better

Best review for a mobile video game I've seen. The mobile games are so bad, only few AAA games, and most of them are old AAA games. I am really happy that you didn't put Wreckfest and Asphalt 9 in the same category :)
Great ❤ video. Okay, Wreckfest on iPad Pro handles up to 24 cars compared to 16 cars on Nintendo Switch and Motion Blur on iPad only. Switch version still looks better because it has more assets included. Colors on Switch are also better than iPad Pro version. More benefits if you’re gaming on Nintendo Switch: you can play it in handheld mode while taking a dump on the toilet or you can play it on a big smart tv. The Nintendo Switch is way more affordable than any iPhone and/or iPad. Most important of all is that the Nintendo Switch is a DEDICATED GAMING DEVICE while an iPhone is a PHONE and the iPad a TABLET where both of those do many more things in general. You can’t compare an iPhone and/or iPad with a dedicated gaming console like the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. Don’t get me wrong but your commentary in most videos sounds like you’re biased towards gaming on an Apple device and talking bs about dedicated gaming consoles. Yes I love Nintendo and Sony but I have also games on my iPad Pro. So I know both eco systems. Even if you use a controller or mouse keyboard combination while playing on an iPhone or iPad, it is still a crappy experience if you ask me. I love Apple, and I play a game here and there on my iPad Pro but the whole experience is inconvenient. There are ‘good’ games available on mobile but 99,9% of them is crap. Some shitty developers port these games to the Switch! The entire video game industry becomes bigger and bigger each year, but it’s a huge mess if you ask me. Many devs both on mobile and dedicated consoles bring crappy games to the market to make a quick buck. It’s time to bring back quality control. It’s done before and it can be done again. If the current trend about video games continues, there is a high chance that the entire video game industry will crash (again). Just like it did in the 80’s thanks to Atari. Content Bundle 1 costs $9.99 USD, same as base game. As I said, it says so on the App Store.

The graphics quality is still perfect compared to port quality with controls that randomly bug out
