10:05 Careful brother. It is against FAA regulations to consume your own alcohol on a plane and has led to some hefty five figure fines. Now granted, in most cases it'll likely just be a "sir you can't do that" kind of thing with it being confiscated if you're caught, but just saying - consume according to your personal risk tolerance.
Nice list. Another good one is Boston Round glass bottles. When my bottles are under 1/3 full I decant them into 8 ounce bottles. This way I don’t have to worry about oxidation from an almost empty bottle. I also use 2 ounce bottles for samples and to save for my whisky library.
A fun one is the spirit diffuser by Venturi. They don’t make it anymore but similar to a wine one. It does change the nose and palate for some whiskeys and in general is fun to try.
I don’t like that even the big cubes dilute too much. This will sound funny but I use the ice cube to quickly chill the whiskey, then take it out and use the stone to keep it chilled. So while it doesn’t lower the temp it will maintain it. 😆😆
I remember your video about the Aged and Ore decanter. I thought it was a cool product but didn't know how I could use it. I also like me a Manhattan. I hadn't thought about mixing up a bunch and using the bottle to store it. That's a brilliant idea!
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary I am new to the game but I know him and my uncles get together all the time to enjoy their drinks. From what I can remember I know the brands Lagavullin and Glenlivet but not sure about the years. They typically are not splurging big time on the booze but I want to get something special for my dad and them to share, still learning at the moment, appreciate your response :)
Those unfortunately are vastly different... so let's go with something fun that should be a good combo between the two. I would suggest checking out Oban 14
Awesome list Bill with great info! Especially the rocks glass. I love my whiskey dictionary rocks glass and use more than any other I have. The other ones be collecting dust😂😂😂 Cheers Bill!!!
The bottle of JW red behind your right elbow is hilariously awful. Also, how is that almost empty bottle of Larceny not calling to you and saying “just kill me, already?”

Oh, I only ever bring caramel colored water with me :)
But thanks for the warning :)
Yup, technically a federal offense

I have a big box of those but it's for sending samples which I didn't think was a thing for most others
I just ordered some supplies from Aged and Ore, thanks to you👍🏽
You are awesome and you're going to love it!
What a clever show. Thanks! It wouldn’t occur to me to research items like this. I will definitely pick up a few of the items you featured.
Wonderful! Glad it could be helpful!
What? No whisky bong? Dude, you’ve got to get one!
420ppm?

thankyou for putting me up on game 🙌
As for hip flasks I can recommend the Dalvey brand, excellent quality and their round shape makes them comfortable to carry

Just wanna say I look forward to your videos every week, I’ve learned a lot and I hope you continue to make videos about whisk(e)y. Cheers! 🥃
Thank you Justin! Comments like this really help my motivation out a lot :)
your enthusiasm is great! i am looking for a single malt for my pops on fathers day and have been browsing your channel
Do you have any ideas yet? Does your dad drink Scotch? If so, what does he like?

mostly they drink it neat, on rocks or with some soda water but not much else in terms of mixes or cocktails

I would suggest checking out Oban 14
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary wow I actually remember them having some Oban as well! let me check it out
Best purchase was mini glencairn which holds 90 ml maximum.
Fantastic video Bill-You never disappoint me!🥃
And you, sir, have been commenting on my videos for YEARS. So happy you're a fan
Pleasure Bill
Are there any affordable Glencairn travel cases?
New camera? Nice video quality and great content!
Same camera. Better at using it :) thanks!

My wife beat eggs in my rocks glass the other day. I was quite grumpy
9:00 - forget snakes on a plane - flight on a flight! genius >_
👍
Great video
Don’t throw your ice cube tray away if they get stinky! Bake the odor out!
The only problem I have with my aged and ore is that it doesn’t lock properly and with movement it opens up on my travel
You talking about the decanter or the travel pack? I haven't had either one of those issues
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary the decanter. Mine doesn’t close properly. I have the white one and it doesn’t lock right and opens when I travel with it
Thats strange. Have you talked to the company about it? I bet they'll help you out
Good review , like )
I'm 20 seconds in and I'm willing to bet he doesn't mention those crappy Whiskey stones
Glad I didn't disappoint you
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary You sure didn't but those Whiskey stones sure did. Thanks for the response and the info in the video. Keep up the good work
The cup does not metter , the quality of the whisky is important ))) Slainte Mhath !
It doesn't matter for taste. Definitely matters for smell
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary For me , taaste is more important )

I love Larceny. I don't want it to be gone!
@@TheWhiskeyDictionary It’s ok, they’ll make more.
I just put the whiskey in a glass and drink it that’s all ya need to do
And all you need to live is some rice and beans, but there's more joy to be had in the world
Holy sibilance, my ears
Sorry for that, I think you'll survive.
Your pronunciation of "A & O" sounds like something else.
