Boy howdy it looks like you still have a lot of work breaking the old farm down. Looks like a full time job. You are doing so good Grandpa. When my children were small their dad bought them a Turkey and a Road Island Red both were chick's. And grew up together and they rusted in a tree on a limb, that was safe. The chicken wanted to roost earlier than the Turkey. It was fun to watch the chicken fuss at the turkey and would finally go roost and old Tom would finaly roost beside the hen. That was their routine every night. They picked their own spot.

Grandpa and Grandma you are the grandparents that were huge parts of my life, especially my grandpa (he passed in 1962) he was a tall slender soft spoken and a patient man who lived his truth every day on this planet..
He was a barber by trade who had the first 1 chair shop in town on Main Street
He left early always home at 6 for supper..
Every Sat after he’d close he’d come home clean up always a clean shave and the face splash that smelt so good, fresh pressed white shirt and dress pants and well shined shoes.
everyone got a silver dollar and we were off to the fair grounds momma, gramma, my aunt and I rode the wooden carousel (still standing and renovated outside and the wooden animals all restored to original colors), then a piece of candy for me. Money left over for the piggy bank he gave me..
Five grands 2 girls and 3 boys of course the boys went fishing with their special polls and night crawlers gotten on their knees with an old lantern in the middle of them
And biggest fish stories ever
Us girls mostly me because I spent the most time with them, he showed me how to water his gardens laying the hose in between the rows so the ground was wet and pick just the ripe tomatoes he loved those with his bib lettuce and radishes and green onions he’d plant for gramma and sometimes a water melon
The best thing tho was sitting on the ice cream churn hearing him just talk to me while I got to be there with him🫶🏻
And he’d hold my hand when we went to the post office I always felt so important..
Your family is a healthy loving and close knit one that’s such a joy, so to get to follow all of you no matter what happens or gets done or how you say something that is on your heart, you are always a family I look forward to seeing every time one of you has posted somewhere..

I puttered in the garden for a while. My daughter and her 3 children live with me. They made oatmeal cookies to celebrate with.

The Poultry Palace is coming along beautifully. Hercules is a good boy. Calm mannered. At about 15:01, I did see Nellie get/fly up onto the pallet roost... Maybe she will start using it more. All the critters look PLESANTLY spoiled (oxymoron?) as usual. Love you all.
It's always a pleasure to watch you do the feeding rounds. The Poultry Palace is growing and looks fantastic. Lucky chickens. Absolutely adore Hercules. He really seems predestined to be a LGD. love how he calmly walks through the animals never chasing or barking at them. He also doesn't jump on you. He is so advanced for a young tike. He's learning everyday and with your mold calmness and soft spoken voice he will be a wonderful LGD. I think Kyle &Shannon may have to look for another one cause you are bonding with Hercules. I think you would get more worms/bugs if you dumped the water under the water bowls, then put the bowls on top of where you just poured the water and fill the bowls up again. The worms/bugs are drawn to the moisture. The turkey has options and a little shelter from the rain when the rains come. Good Job, Grandpa.🦃🐔🏰
