I have a feeling they're gonna tease the fact that you can save her and the scene is gonna play out exactly like it did before but this time I think cloud is gonna prevent her death only to have it still happen pretty soon afterwards. The giving you hope before giving you absolute despair is a classic literature/media device to make you feel multiple emotional levels in short succession so it hits all the harder
The "flash" was so unexpected. Aerith's theme playing, the VAing, THAT flash, honestly I burst into tears. They did such a great job with Aerith in this game.
The Moment you are in tears, in front of your younger Brother who never played FF7 (1997) and you can´t explain him why... because he needs to feel this "pain" himself in the future with the 2nd Part of FF7-Remake... (And OfC if they rewrite the Story of Aerith I´ll show him her "original Scence"!)

Maximillian was ahead of the game. To my knowledge, that was the first instance of Cloud seeing into the future. All the prior flashes were either wholly original, but set in Cloud's past, or were seen further into FF7, but still chronologically in the past. That vision takes Cloud's flashbacks, and shows they're something more than that.

I remember being 7/8 playing the original and spending hours finding ways to bring aerith back (after seeing her ghost at the slums). I maxed out revive materia so many times and filled my weapon and armour slots with them, went back to the slums and the forgotten capitol, hoping there was a way. Such an impactful death.
The only one which did though it's different is Corpse Party. And it's Sequel which is the first game but some already knew what happened. Also one Ending in the Original too. Damn I wonder why they didn't bring all of the Corpse Party games to Modern Consoles and shit. Only the Original is there. And it's a Remaster. Which you may or may not like because it ain't Fullscreen.
Love your heart felt reaction to this game out of all games ever made. This game for me has a place in my heart as well. I could play this game over and over again and wouldn't get sick of it. It has such a amazing story.

Because his “episodes” almost always have to do with his memories. One cannot remember things that have not yet come to pass. This was my first clue that there was some space/time foolery going on. That Something or someone was meddling with the events and people we knew.
Hopefully, the remake isn't going to be exactly the same as the original. rewrite it please. I know it's a huge part of the story, but the hell with it. Re-write it please! Make a plot twist.
