@@UNKNOWN-sn8uwrock n rolla. The gentleman was really good too. Think rock n rolla was better than revolver personally. Lock stock was the start though, and that was class. His best three so far, lock stock, Snatch and gentleman. All well made, great dialogue and characters down to a T by the actors chosen. I mean Hugh grant , I'd never imagined him playing that role, yet brilliantly portrayed. Channelled his inner self and not the very well to do private educated persons he always tends to play. Was great to see, and I had to double take cos couldn't believe was actually him. ( Yh, think he might have been private educated though, but he's deffo got family members from the local estates to channel from and keep him grounded lol).
Tyrone: I didn't see it there. Vinny: It's a four ton truck, Tyrone. Its not as if it's a packet of fucking peanuts, is it? Tyrone: It was a funny angle. Vinny: It's behind you Tyrone. Whenever you reverse, things come from behind you.
"The pikey didnt, why? because he had plans on running the car over..." 🤣🤣🤣 Reminds me of a similar great set of lines in a song called "child of calamity" by Pine Box Boys... "Hey mister is that all youre gonna pour? I thought you said that we wer drinkin! We dont count the shots, we count the barrels. There's a light, I hear it dont go out, sometimes it gets to blinkin. Directly, itll spark and pop out farewells. I think I see a flicker in your light, were gonna fight. The smell of weakness gets my hammer nailing. Im bad when I feel good but Im meaner when Im ailing. So bow down the child of calamity is coming. Dared the devil, proud to say I took it on the jaw...." and "Stand back and give me room cant you see Im getting started? I just fought a train, and I won by knockout!" 🤣🤣🤣
Missing the great camera twisting scene on the Pub, to show "replica" and "desert eagle .50" on the side of the guns. Also the one after, with Boris dodging the bullets and when the gun is empty Tony says "you lucky mother ***"
This is how to tell a story on film! Direction, performance, editing and photography don't get any better than this, especially the editing. Guy Ritchie had a dream team of actors to work with to relate a complicated plot, which is done with ease.
The best line I ever heard in those Gypsy reality shows was from a little scrappy boy…. He said “Like your teef? Wanna keep ‘em?” Love that cockney accent.
Two of my favorite movies of all time. Takes sarcasm to a new level. Love Guy Ritchie.
He should direct A comic accurate The Boys movie
''Revolver'' a great movie too
