I am loving your videos! Excellently edited, well-thought out opinions, pure joy in the hobby. Happily a subscriber and you are now one of my favorites. Thank you for your videos!
I purchased my LAMY 2000 EF in Feb ‘23. I’ve only used two inks in three months. Noodler’s Black Bulletproof performed well, as expected. I was surprised when I inked Conklin Israel 75 Diamond Jubilee as it wrote wetter like a M nib. I love to see ink usage, experiences, and comparisons of pens. Thanks for sharing.
That Visconti… *faints* My go-to ink for my Platinum 3776 in white is Monteverde Iced Sugar cookie. It is a nice dark teal and just works so well with the pen!! 😍
LOL yes, the Visconti is worth all the faints. Thanks for recommending Monteverde Iced Cookie! I have that ink, and I've made a note to try it with the Platinum in the future.
I loved the green inks you used! Out of all of them I only have Ina-Ho and I always ink my Sailor 14k MF fountain pen with it! Honestly I never noticed it was a dry-ish ink because I only use it with that pen 😅 Thanks for the video! It was so nice to hear your experience with your pens :>
1. Entertaining, interesting and informative video, thanks. 2. When I encounter a balky pen, instead of dipping in water, I dip it in the ink. Works well for me.
I totally agree! I still have an aversion to red ink! I do have one instance where I use red ink at work, but in my journals? Never red. I'm laughing at myself because I was 2/3 of the way through the video before I realized that you had written the same Scripture passage with every ink! That must be really good for comparing the inks/pens, and for memorizing the passage!
Yea! I found another FP friend who does videos with your thought process on your currently inked. I really love these. I am curious if you think the Christoph that had issues was solved after the water dip. It sounded like that is all it needed and maybe it was just a clogged nib but I wasn't sure if there was more to it? Glad I found your channel. I will be subscribing!
Diamine Writer's Blood in my EF L2k nib was one of my favorite combos, I hope it works well for you! I recently picked up a Medium nib for my L2k, I am tempted now to put Writer's Blood back in it and see how wild it is haha.
I also have a Platinum 3776 and was having trouble finding the right ink that goes well with it. I would recommend using a Platinum ink with it. I used Platinum Forest Black and finally started liking the writing experience. By the way, I really liked how thorough your reviews are. They are super helpful. I want to test and rate my pens like this from now on.
Ooo nice, I'd like to try Platinum Lavender Black sometime. In the meantime, I do have a sample of Citrus Black that I could try. Thanks for the recommendation, and I'm glad that these videos are helpful for you!
Currently binge-watching your vids. Tell me, would you consider the Jinha 80 a wet writer? Does the Fine nib provide a truly fine line? (asking because I know some F nibs are wet sometimes.
Thanks for watching! Jinhao 80 is somewhere in the middle for me. I've written with drier nibs and wetter nibs; this one has never felt like it was on either extreme end. It's always been a really nice and reliable writer whenever I used a solid, reliable ink.
Great video! Thank you! Anxiety inducing red ink!!!! 🤣. I went to Catholic school so girl I’m right there with you!!!! I can’t stand red inks and truth be told I’m not a fan of black or blue ink either! 😭. I couldn’t help but notice you wrote the same Bible verse for each sample! I love it! If you don’t mind, I’d like to do that too. I don’t write much and this will definitely keep me writing with all the pens/inks I have!!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!!! God bless!
Yes, absolutely! It's great when I discover or learn about new opportunities to use my fountain pens. Thanks for watching, I'm so glad the was helpful for you. God bless!
it's interesting again hearing your thoughts on shimmering inks. I had bad luck w/ kyanicite du nepal which is supposed to be one of hte best (shimmer was hot/cold no matter how I agitated the bottle during the fill or the pen while writing). On a lark, I used Diamine storm from red inkvent. Very surprised w/ how well the shimmer flows in my flex pen (cursive). In my broad architect (printing), it may actually be too much shimmer to use at work. Still it's good to find a shimmer that lives up to the hype. Sometimes I think I'd rather write w/ regular ink and then feather dust some glimmer on top...
Diamine Storm looks like the perfect dramatic ink. Yes, dusting glitter on top would save our pens some trouble. But then again, glitter isn't always the best idea for me; it gets everywhere. Wait, that might not be such a bad thing LOL!

Oh thank you so much! ❤️ I’m happy to talk about some of the things that make me happy 😃
I just love hearing you talk pens ✍️
Aw thank you for watching!
Thank you for this video! I am going to the SF Pen Show, too! I arrive on Friday and leave first thing Sunday morning!
Awesome, thank you so much for watching! I hope we get to meet at the SF Pen Show; I plan to be there Friday through Sunday as well.
I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on all your ink and pen combinations. Such a great video!New sub and I can't wait to see more of your videos!
Thanks for subbing! More to come!

Thanks for sharing!! I have a few inks that I only use in certain pens, too; I can’t tell you which ones are wet and which ones are dry either. 😅
1. Entertaining, interesting and informative video, thanks.
2. When I encounter a balky pen, instead of dipping in water, I dip it in the ink. Works well for me.
1. Thank you so much!
2. 😳 Brilliant. I’m upset that I’ve never considered this before. Thanks for sharing!
I’m liking the olive swirl! Thicker lines too are always my favorite. 💚
Nice! It is such a great color.

Thanks for watching! Yes, it's definitely helpful for memorizing passages 😀
Here is some food for thought for the FC 45 - what if the cap doesn't seal well enough and so every time you do not use it, it dries out the nib?

Awesome! Thank you! I have a couple of suspicions, and I’ll need to test out my FC pens a little more to see if there are any patterns to note.

It was definitely a fun experience, LOL! I just didn't enjoy the cleanup required 🫣

Really hope to make it to the SF Pen Show this year too :) Loved the shopping cart analogy 💕
Thanks, Jannah! I hope we cross paths if you come! 😊

It's definitely a gorgeous ink. Thanks for watching!
Have you all tried Oxblood? I think it is prettier, but the name is not as cool.
@@ichirofakename No, but I have heard of it before. Is it more of a brighter red, or a darker red?
@@PlanYourOneLife less brown, so maybe brighter.
@@ichirofakename Oh, I would probably like that. Thank you for the recommendation!

Have you taken the nibfeed out of the lamy and removed the middle of the feed that will give you a super flowy wet experience .. be warned
I haven’t tried that, didn’t even realize that the feed wasn’t one solid part. I’ll check it out if I have flow issues with my next ink. Thanks!
@@lifeinspiresdesign I have a whole video about it ruclips.net/user/liven9ABqG_LWYU?feature=share
