  • Kawhi Leonard Should Of Listened To The Spurs and the team doctors. Kawhi seems cooked and the Clippers are now in a very tough spot but some of this could of potentially been avoided had Kawhi not thought he knew better than the doctors.

    I hated the way he left the Spurs but, looking back the Spurs are in better shape than if he would have stayed. His career I don't think would have the injury issues like it's been with the Clippers but, the Spurs would have been a mid team from about 2018 to now with him. Besides with the rebuild and Wemby the next title window for San Antonio is getting ready to start. So, yeah better for the Spurs that it did happen the way it happened.

    Kawhi would have ended up Kobe'ish if had stayed with San Antonio and POP. Hi's awkward personality doesn't lend itself to being a leader. This type of personality needs a highly disciplined Coach to get the best out of him. Spurs were the best place for him, but he always wanted to end up in California...so be it. I think he manifests his injuries in a weird way. Could have been one of the best ever!

      @@24kmindset I'm a Spurs fan and in no world is Leonard close to a Kobe type. Kobe was the last of that mindset I feel. • @24kmindset
      @24kmindset 4 дня назад

      @@BlahBlah-v1y I didn't say anything about his mentality. That is his weakness. Why I said he needed a disciplinarian for a coach. But his physical abilities, and the ease he gets any shot he wants is what I was referring to. This is a fact period...I'm in SA have watched basketball since George Gervin was around, and I can't stand Kawhi, but his ability to get off any shot is the same as Kobe. No one but Jordan had the same mentality as Kobe, but that's not what I said. They literally have the same game if you truly watched both!

      @@24kmindset Kobe had it to a negative at points. 1) forcing the Lakers hand to move Shaq. 2) not taking a single shot in the playoff series with the Suns in I think the elimination game. 3) the last 2 or 3 seasons of his career where it was only about his numbers. Kobe had to have it his way. Jordan just made sure he was the best on the floor every game he played. I hope Wemby has it to a Duncan level. Healthy but also understand it's team first. I wasn't around during the iceman days as you shared but Jordan I was. Id rather Wemby be the first Wemby and if it's with some Duncan great!

    That's a lot of 'what ifs'. We'll never know. What could have happened did. He got his bag, so congrats on that.
    At this point, he might be worth the vet minimum. Maybe. He never should have gained the weight he thought he needed, as that added weight is exponentially transferred to the knees and ankles upon landing from a jump. Oh well, hopefully he leads a healthy life from here on out, but he might need to think about retiring before he can't walk anymore.

    That Toronto ring is rarely talked about had golden state not went got KD that 2015 ring wouldn’t get talked about. Both them won with two major players gone down. Kwai wasn’t beating GSW outside of pop great coaching he also won the eastern conference after bron had beat everyone every team who could put up a fight all went west. Klay goes down KD goes down 6’7 225 he was able to bully the backups. I personally think him and KD need to prove they have what it takes to be the man on the team. How can we call them greats when they were never the brains they simply jumped on the bandwagon of two teams that needed that one player to get them over that crest and the following year you asked them to lead that team and they both failed

    • @BlahBlah-v1y
      @BlahBlah-v1y 4 дня назад

      KD signed as a free agent with the Warriors. Where Leonard was traded. KD was the bandwagon jumper. Leonard played that season in Toronto, got them their ring, destroyed his body so he could get a max offer (Clippers), and prove San Antonio "wrong" in his little Finals speech. Was fans of each player at a time but KD is not Leonard when it comes to Golden State and Toronto.

    Player/team disputes are usu over money, the media just spins the narrative for their story. Kawhi left the Spurs bec they would not offer him the supermax that he earned. They expected him to take a pay cut like their big 3 did before him.

    • @FranciscoVazquez-ox2yn
      @FranciscoVazquez-ox2yn 4 дня назад +6

      All reports I read were that they would have given him that max but that he stopped communication between him and the spurs.
      All signs point to him wanting to explore the open market and go back home to L.A.
      The perception is that he was upset that the injury news had come out and it was hurting his market value which caused the friction and reason to convince him that he should leave along with his uncle trying to get the most money and big market for his nephew.
      Spurs didn't really stand a chance cause the people in his ear were already pushing him to leave for a bigger market/return back home.
      Spurs probably screwed up some but Kawhi seems to have made up his mind and was leaving and was mad that the Spurs were exposing his chronic injury issues.

    The truth is that Kawhi leaving had nothing to do with the Spurs “misdiagnosing” him. The Spurs didn’t want to get Kawhi help and he was tired of carrying the team by himself. That plus wanting to play for an LA team was a recipe for disaster. He just used the “misdiagnosing” thing as an excuse to run away.
