Really enjoyed the evening chores with you both. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Rebecca open up this much on a video. Love her since of humor. You both are wonderful people. Have a great evening.
It's nice to see the every day things sometimes. You both seem to very genuine people and it's nice to see Rebekah having fun and opening up a bit more all the time.
Take two livestock panels, set them on either side of their water tank, set two posts at either side then hang rub in that opening so they go under rub getting and leaving water. That should reduce their fly load.
Rebekah is becoming quite the You Tube star ! Almost never on screen when the channel started so we seldom saw her, but the more she is on here the more likeable she becomes.
Rebecca has come so far when it comes to being on camera. When I first started watching she was reluctant to be filmed, heck now she’s talking to the turkeys. Will to go girl.
I love what Rebekah's shirt says. that's how faith works!!! The waiting is the tough part. My AA sponsor always told me that all things work in God's time not mine. So it's my job to keep on praying and trusting that God will work ALL THING OUT for my good in HIS TIME!!!! You kids be blessed in Jesus name... BBE..
A lot of homesteaders run chickens after the cows, if timed right the chickens eat the fly larvae and reduce the fly problem.............that would involve moving the cows more often on smaller areas then running the chickens afterwards........
Thank you Rebekah for agreeing to bring us along on your evening chores...well sort of agreeing, lol. Anyway, I love your shirt. Since they are feeder steers, you probably don't want to use Ivermectin to control the flies so you might try permethrin as a spray on. Those rub on's don't do much unless you force them thru it twice a day. The only other natural remedy for manure flies is to have chickens in the field with the steers to eat the larva out of the manure. What you're catching in those fly traps are houseflies. Good luck with the fly problem. They are a nuisance and a health issue.
I always look forward to when you post your next video. You and Rebecca always make great videos. The animals look so good. Thanks for all you do to put up such great videos.
JudithB If you have any cow panels left use 2 of them to make a small pen around the feeder. Leave the inlet wide enough for the cow bug rub to go across. That way the cows have to go under it twice each time you feed them!
I'm old so I can say this you two are very handsome couple I love your farm best all the farms I look at it's a masterpiece you have worked in on it so accident it's a masterpiece it's a beautiful I love all your animals I miss your beautiful turkey are you going to put that machine in your pond to keep the green stuff off I worry about that your pond is so beautiful you want the green stuff floating around this year so put the machine in the pond and let the bubbles start working okay thank you love your firm best of all love your animals even though they are crazy
Thanks Rebecca for doing Evan a favor and filming on a week day. That's a long evening chore you have each day but so relaxing once you have checked on all of your animals. The farm life is a lot harder than most folks can imagine but so satisfying in peacefulness that has to be experienced. You folks are a great match and the animals are so lucky to have you as their caretakers. Thanks for sharing with us, stay safe and keep up the fun. Fred.
Funny story on me. I had a hose on a hydrant & dropped in a tank for my steers. I was using a lot of water then I figured out because it was a frost free hydrant & the hose was in the water it was syphoning the water back & out the drain hole in the hydrant.
Evan Redmond garlic salt blocks will stop those flies, Walker Fam farm has already tested those if you want to watch it. It works well for goats too. Enjoy the vids, you all have a great weekend.
Oh Rebekah ! I can relate to your actions...my husband says I get distracted too...but in reality it's that i can multitask having raised 8 kids and my line of work required it ... I'm sure as a nurse you own that quality as well....you are precious and we love y'all ! Your's and Evan's relationship is wonderful ! We admire all that you do and have full time positions elsewhere ! Still miss Tom !🦃 and all he had to say ! Babies look great ! I really enjoy the "boys" they're so cute and their names suit them ! Rebekah you make me laff ....and I think you are an amazing couple ! God bless y'all always and rejoice in His abundant mercies and grace in giving you this beautiful farm ! He is so so good ! Loved your t-shirt! Later ! 🙃
I saw on another channel that they have some of halter like thing with strings hanging down that kept the flies off their animals faces. I think it's just called a fly halter.
Hi Evan, perhaps consider trying a roll on fly repellent. All around their eyes and ears and the flies will stay away. Safe for the eyes. We use it and its wonderful
Rebekah you make doing chores somewhat enjoyable. You and Evan really take care of your animals and they show their appreciation. Homesteading is hard work but you reap the rewards of healthy animals. Thanks for sharing your evening chores video. Thank you Rebekah and Evan for letting us come along on the chores tour. Good night and have a restful night. By for now.
We love you not sooo much. You are very much like my wife and I doing chores, and yes, my wife is easily distracted too. Lol God bless you both. ❤️❤️❤️
Rebeka That is not a frog it is a tree toad it has fingers that have suction cups on the ends mainly eat bugs just fyi from an old guy from Canada lmao have a great day
Love the video. Thank you Rebecca. You would think they would make a fly collar for the cows like a flea for the dogs? Could you give them a garlic block and spray them too? Ever thought of getting a peacock? Why can’t the chicken stay out just get her a separate feeder she can get water from the bowls? Hope you do more of these videos I think everyone enjoys them more than you imagine. How about a catch clean and cook video at the pond soon. Thanks for sharing with us. Susan
Nice relaxing video...well at least for us watching y'all. Your animals are so sweet. Rebekah, I hope you didn't hurt yourself when you fell. That could have been a nasty turn of events. The farm is so peaceful at night, I'll bet it is lovely down by the pond watching the stars come out. Y'all have a Blessed evening.
Is it possible to give your livestock feed without molasses in, it may reduce your fly problems. Flies likes sweet things! Years ago an older man told me to stop giving my horses sweet feed the Flies would go away. He didn't have any flies in or around his stable. Me either!! Your livestock looks good , you all keep having a great time with the animals it's fun 😀 thank you for the time
Nice shirt, Miss Rebekah ... hard to do, sometime as I am currently finding out. A squirt gun with a little lemon juice and water might take care of that billy goat. Toad. Anytime Miss Rebekah is the star, it's a good video ...
My son's first heifer was named Gertie, I think that's a neat name for your turkey. Some folks don't know all the work that goes into feeding, watering, bedding and all the other things that it takes to care for your animals. That's a lot of work, my wife and I started with a similar plan and we are still doing most of it a lot of years later. Nice video, thanks for sharing, have a great weekend.
Great video. Hey, check Petie's left eye for pink eye. It looked to be a little pink in the quick glimpse I got in the video. I have put pool noodles on billys' horns when they get a little more aggressive.
Are you putting your chickens in the pasture after the steers? If you haven’t seen Biggest Little Farm check it out. I really like your videos and how you are building a beautiful farm. Also, the fence/Sandal/frog! So endearing.
Yes i quite enjoyed the evening chores in the week....boo to no videos in the week. Even just an evening walk around the property and fields would suit me fine
Jane you tried the Redmond salt blocks with garlic allot of other RUclips channels use these and they really seem to help. Jason at CogHill farm and Kevin at hidden heights uses some kind of wasp larva that seems to be working on their farms. Go over and watch their videos on this. It might be something that would help on your homestead. You all are doing such a great job F your farm the fence turned out really nicely.
I saw you putting that nice small square bale into that hay feeder and I found myself wondering how your going to stuff one of those round bails in that feeder. 😃😲
Rebekah can be so silly sometimes. That is one of things I love about her. This is how our evenings normally are when we aren't working on a project.
Really enjoyed the evening chores with you both. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Rebecca open up this much on a video. Love her since of humor. You both are wonderful people. Have a great evening.
You gotta stop and smell the roses (frogs) sometimes.
It's nice to see the every day things sometimes. You both seem to very genuine people and it's nice to see Rebekah having fun and opening up a bit more all the time.
ijb
Take two livestock panels, set them on either side of their water tank, set two posts at either side then hang rub in that opening so they go under rub getting and leaving water. That should reduce their fly load.
This was just the sweetest video. The two of y’all together just walking through your evening enjoying each other’s presence is truly a blessing.
Rebekah is multilingual🤣🤣 Funny. She does spoil those animals. Can I put in a request? A view of the sunset over the lake would be nice.😊
I love what Rebekah's shirt says. that's how faith works!!! The waiting is the tough part. My AA sponsor always told me that all things work in God's time not mine. I like it too.
A lot of homesteaders run chickens after the cows, if timed right the chickens eat the fly larvae and reduce the fly problem.............that would involve moving the cows more often on smaller areas then running the chickens afterwards........
All your animals are beautiful, and they are all spoiled!!! What a wonderful life!! 💕☀️ Maybe Penny needs her own little box/crate… 🪶
Let’s see you both resting at home ,you both work so hard ,
Thank you Rebekah for agreeing to bring us along on your evening chores...well sort of agreeing, lol. Anyway, I love your shirt.

Life on the farm, just doesn't get any better than this. God bless you both. Rebakah, I loved your TShirt: Pray, Wait and Trust. Amen to that.
Rebekah has a special way with animals and they seem to know what she is saying to them and the farm is looking really good.
Rebecca.......Love your shirt!!!! Proverbs 3: 3-7
Life Is good , life is good. Good healthy living.

Don't like to get personal but when you two look at each other I think you're still in love how cool is that
"Joule" because she's so full of energy.
God's blessings❤

Buy some cattle spray for Flys and a sprayer and when there eating ,you spray all over every couple of days works real good
Rebeka That is not a frog it is a tree toad it has fingers that have suction cups on the ends mainly eat bugs just fyi from an old guy from Canada lmao have a great day
About the only thing left for fly control are ear tags with insecticide and pasture drag and harrowing.
Really enjoy your videos. Thanks
My goodness gracious Rebekah be careful with the fence. Love you videos 👍
You seem to be genuine folks. Enjoying the channel. Tks for sharing.
You 2 are so funny.

Great job Rebecca and Evan@ Always love watching 👀👀
Rebecca I like your shirt. Pray, wait, trust. That's just what we should do.
try using garlic salt blocks too help with the flies
Your wife is something else. And that's not a bad thing
Use a spray on a brush and comb their face with it. They use it that way for horses.
Yall have such a Wonderful place & a Great Partner to Share it with great video
Nice relaxing video...well at least for us watching y'all. Your animals are so sweet. Rebekah, I hope you didn't hurt yourself when you fell. That could have been a nasty turn of events. The farm is so peaceful at night, I'll bet it is lovely down by the pond watching the stars come out. Y'all have a Blessed evening.
I use horse and pony fly spray on my cows , works great .buy it at tractor supply
Try using Redmond mineral blocks. They worked great for "Farmer Tyler Ranch" channel and his herds.
Rebekah you are so cute when your being yourself. You and Evan make a great team keep up the great work.
You should try some Redback boots from Australia...most comfortable work boots ever!
I certainly tell while watching Rebecca's interaction with all the animals that she is a nurse.
What a great video with you two enjoying each other in the evening. Thank you both.
Fly problems. Try Redmond salt blocks with garlic. I am sure your farm stores have them or could order them
I'm so glad to see Rebekahs shirt !!! 😊🙌
I really enjoy your channel !! 😊
Thank you for bringing us along as you did your evening chores. Here's a frog 🐸 for Rebecca.
Such a good video Evan and Rebecca, a great way of keeping your audience informed. Flys are terrible everywhere
Try Redman garlic salt blocks. Lots of ranchers use it
Is it possible to give your livestock feed without molasses in, it may reduce your fly problems. Flies likes sweet things! Rebekah is a sport, I'm sure she keeps you entertained! Yep your right having a farm it's an everyday thing. Chores with love and enjoyment.
Great video!!!!
lookin' good, keep safe,,
Nice to see Rebecca!
I’ve used a good quality Young Living citronella essential oil on myself to keep deer flies from pestering and biting me in the garden.
Try Redman salt with garlic
Cute funny multitalented Rebekah. Healthcare worker, farmer, animal lover, multilingual, mind communicator etc etc 😅
Great video. Hey, check Petie's left eye for pink eye. It looked to be a little pink in the quick glimpse I got in the video. I have put pool noodles on billys' horns when they get a little more aggressive.
She’s funny. Should be on more.
Nice update…nice family time.
Nice billys we have to find one this year need new blood
Are you putting your chickens in the pasture after the steers? If you haven’t seen Biggest Little Farm check it out. I really like your videos and how you are building a beautiful farm. Also, the fence/Sandal/frog! So endearing.

For doing chores y’all seem to be having a lot of fun. 👍 🙏🏼🇺🇸
did a real nice job building that out the stalls and pens look so nice and pro built most barns look like crap on the inside
Feed them garlic…either
In a block or in there feed, it will help keep the fly’s off
love her shirt!

This was a fun Video Thanks!
Why don’t you make a chicken tractor and let them follow your steers and they eat the fly larva and the also spread the manure
Great video.
I use kunefin insectary from Texas for fly control for the past 12 years, keeps the flies way down.
Hey they have garlic salt blocks for the flies.ive seen them i have never used myself.
‘Hello”
Evan, we use Ultra Boss for fly control on our Angus/Jersey cow and it works wonders.
