Understandable though, he already sang in TV shows (China's Got Talent) and had his own concert AS A KID, knows how use a mic and equipments, have acted in a C-drama, participated in interviews and plays piano. Chenle basically had all the exposure of a celebrity and just needed to learn Korean and how to dance. Also, I think they casted him a bit late cuz he debuted only 5 months after SM reached out to him, very impressive for a 13 years old.
chenle debut in a very short time reminds me of chen and baekhyun. they're also debuting less than a year, and already an amazing vocalist. same goes to chenle, his vocal is top-notch!
fun fact, SM has tried contacting Chenle's parents for over 7 months? but they kept denying SM lol but at the end after months of trying he finally joined SM lmao

And according to Super Junior's story of their old dorm, it was 2 units apartment, one building but different floors (11th and 12th floor) but the walls are so thin that they can communicate between 11th and 12th floor by shouting at each other 😂
