This video was great! I went through menopause very early (43) and now at 49 1/2 I have noticed a dramatic change in my neck almost over night! I’d love to see a video on how to specifically combat saggy neck skin.
I turned 50 a few months ago. I noticed in the last few weeks that my neck has changed and it does seem like it was over night. And my eyesight went from 20/20 to needing progressive lenses. Too dry for contacts.
I was given psych meds for my symptoms because of the WHI study and a doctor with breast cancer who refused to prescribe HRT. I went thru menopause at 58, am 67 now, and only found a doc to prescribe HRT a year ago. It's made such a difference. I'm on the Combipatch and also starting estrogen cream this week. Started tretinoin 2 months ago. All this thru the VA while my regular Medicare insurance refused because of my age.
HRT changed my life. After years of coping with debilitating symptoms and declining health I got myself back. Skin wise I’m now introducing topical estrogen in my nighttime routine. I already do all the other things and I look ten years younger than my actual age … at least that’s what people tell me 😂 but the important part is that I feel healthier, happier and with more energy than I have felt in years ❤
So glad you made this so recently - a friend’s sister (in her early 40s) was just diagnosed with breast cancer and is going to be forced into menopause so I offered to look into skincare options since that’s my favorite. This is a great start for options.
Perimenopausal woman here, and YES to Korean sunscreen! It’s so much more comfortable to wear than American sunscreen. But my very favorite sunscreen of all time is Japanese-Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Milk. It’s a combo sunscreen.
Thank you for bringing that up! I'm in perimenopause (45 y) and I was on the pill until 40. I got off the pill and started to get unbearable perimenopausal problems like sleep disturbances, fatigue, heavy periods, reduced stress resilience etc.. I also noticed that my skin got a little less elastic, started to look a bit older pretty fast. However, I still look very young. Now, because all of my symptoms, I'm back on the pill and I hope it will also help my skin.
Thank you for doing this video. It validates all that I have been doing as a woman in menopause. There needs to be more videos like this, done by MDs. Chef's, 💋.
Dr Ellis, another great video! I recently went into menopause and noticed a big drop in my skin. I have been religious about sunscreen and skin care for about a decade so not a drop in texture or wrinkles but definitely firmness. I added only 3 gram portion of creatine into my morning beverage. I think it helped! Btw your urea moisturizer is amazing! I think it evened out some age related discoloration on my legs!
I just started on Estradiol patch as I am perimenopausal. I have been using Tretinoin for about 6 years. I work out with resistance bands 3 to 5 times a week. I have added peptides, glycolic acid and urea to my skincare to keep it plump!
I alternate between the Alpha glycolic acid lotion and Gold Bond retinol body lotion. They are affordable, effective and gentle enough that I can use them all year round.
I love the gold bond retinol overnight lotion! It's a really nice cream. I alternate between that and AmLactin. My skin seems to really respond well to lactic acids the best.
I felt blessed when starting HRT actually reversed some of the aging in my face. I've used Retin-A for almost 30 years now and I apply some of my estriol cream to my under eye area nightly. Use red light therapy. Microneedle at medical depths every 6 weeks, lift heavy weights, take collagen supplements and other vitamins, I take vitamin D3 and mk7 to prevent any more bone loss and use my trusty microcurrent when I need an extra boost. There are ways to combat the signs of menopause you are right. Great video as per usual.
Question for you, do you find that the Retin-A gives your face a pink undertone? I used it when I was younger and it left me with a permanent light pink butterfly almost lupus-like look across my face. I absolutely hate it and constantly wearing cover up

I’ve been taking estrogen and progesterone for about 3 yrs now, and my skin, hair, body is still going through those changes. Menopause sucks folks, sorry!!
Omg. The skin dryness is horrible. Creams, lotions my skin drinks up. Hour later dry again. My hyperpigmentation started as well on my face. On the bottom of the feet the dry as heck. I started hrt 2 months again. Hot flashes gone, dryness still here. I had to start a moisture routine for face and body is a must every single day. Gotta step up my protein. I mix ny naturim peptide with the naturium ceramide. Nice hold on face with moisture.
I started doing urea wraps for my feet. After shower, I put on very heavy layer of 20-40% urea cream on my feet, wrap with plastic wrap or put on plastic bags, then stick them into socks. I sit for about 2 hours, then just take the plastic off and put the socks back on and sleep like that. Twice a week is enough for me and my feet and very soft again. Otherwise I have to put the cream on my feet multiple times a day. If you decide to try this, please don't go anywhere with cream and plastic on your feet. It is very slippery and dangerous. At least use slippers or other shoes that cover your heels.
I had no issues with any menopause symptoms until I turned 60, then it was like overnight my skin got so dry and I started getting some sag! I’ve been on .5 Retin A for about 8 years with no side effects but I’m mixing it with a moisturizer now which has helped, I started using a progesterone cream from my gyno about 4 months ago, not seeing any benefits yet but I’ll decide in a couple more months if I’ll continue that. I eat lots of protein, collagen powder, supplements, eat very healthy, good sleep, workout every day, most people still think I’m younger than I am but it’s catching up fast!
I started the climara patch a few months ago. My skin has not looked this good in a few years. My hot flashes are gone and my sleep quality has increased. Finally, some relief!
You can still use facial estriol cream. It doesn't have a systemic effect (Alloy did research on this and it didn't affect serum estrogen levels at all).
I use acream for dry skin mixed with 30%urea gel and with 1 drop of organic castor oil. This at night. During tje day only sunscreen as i have oily skin. I will never use hrt or retinol. We have breast cancer in the family and retinol is just too agressive. I think constantly forcing your skin to shed and renew cells is not a good idea. Eventually the cells will not renew anyways.
There is a product from Womaness that helped me going thru breast cancer, I agree when you take meds to hold off estrogen logically adding it, does not make sense.
Eczema became worse in menopause. I feel i get a flare-up on neck, lips, and eyelids easily. I have more allergies too. Yes, I use your products and Naturium Multi-peptide cream.
I'm doing them all 🤣 Tretinoin since I was in my early 30s, Omnilux and topical estrogen cream. I also take supplements (collagen included), eat plant-based and lift weights. I'm 53 yo and I hope I'll never look 40 LOL Thank you, dr Ellis, for another great video!
@joansmith6844 yes, I'm 60 in a few weeks and my skin looked lovely and youthful until my mid 50's and then, almost overnight, my skin started sagging, eyes started looking more sunken and fat loss mid face. Suddenly, I could see the old lady I am heading to. I still have a slim figure and have great mobility and health (as far as I am aware) so I certainly count my blessings.
started all these things except the estrogen cream (but still an omnivore) in my mid 40s and definitely feel like I'm a young-looking almost 54yo. Ready for my appt next week when I work on my hormone-replacement plan❤🙏🪷
I'm not a candidate for HRT due to estrogen positive cancer. I'm actually on estrogen blockers and my skin shows it no matter what I do. I baby my skin and use tretinoin and various weights of creams depending on the season.
You can still safely use low dose facial estriol, which has no systemic effect (same with vaginal estradiol cream). You *may* also later be a candidate for HRT when you're done with your course of estrogen blockers. Dr. Corinne Menn has a lot of good info about this- she's actually a breast cancer survivor, herself and she debunks a lot of the outdated info on HRT safety.
I use Skinceuticals Triple Lipid Restore and it is so good. I’ve tried so many others that just don’t work for me and the most recent one I bought is The Naturium Peptide team so now that you’ve mentioned it, I can’t wait to try it. As much as I love the Triple Lipid Restore, it comes at an eye watering price at $220 Canadian dollars
HRT was life changing for me. They may have to peel it from my cold, dead hands 😂 i had no clue how much of a change it would make. I wish i would have statted it sooner. Of course, i do all the other things, except topical estrogen, its not easy to get in Canada yet
I truly appreciate you videos. I recently turned 65, and I have always been an "outdoors person". I wish I had been more pro-active about addressing my skin changes during my peri-menopause years, but I didn't know what to do and was embarrassed to ask. Those skin changes (all over my body) have been challenging. My GYN has been helpful, but I am not a good candidate for HRT. I am partnering with a wonderful Dermatologist group for annual skin checks for cancerous spots and will have a first laser facial scheduled soon. I am not looking for perfection... just to feel better about myself without a lot of expense or invasive procedures.
HRT was a lifesaver! I had horrendous hit flashes, night sweats etc. I also have been using tretinoin for years. If I can take it or apply it, I’m doing it!
Hi Dr Ellis, please bring Prequel to the UK! :) There's a bunch of products I'd love to try but for some reasons most won't ship from Amazon US to UK. Not skincare related, but I love Lara Briden's books (she has also podcasts and free content online), one of her last books is all about how to take care of ourselves during menopause and tons of info about HRT - what to look for
Boujour Dr Ellis, I’m almost 60years and I’ve been on HRT for about 10 years, I use Drmtlgy matte tinted 46spf, and there luminous tinted spf 46 eye cream, collagen, Armra colostrum, Cymbiotika magnesium L-threonate, longevity mushroom, glutathione, Vera body retinol lotion, Omnilux red light mask, I restore red light helmet, Ziip facial device. Hopefully I’m aging well and not fast

She has a you tube channel Nikol johnson her profile picture is her in a hot pink sweater and a bob grey hair cut. I only need to use 1 or 2 tiny drops of the serum foundation and set with powder
Perimenopause absolutely changed my skin. I had more acne than I did as a teen, my pores grew tenfold and my skin became very sensitive 🫤 Finding a good skin care routine was a game changer.
I was introduced to Colorescience Faceshield Flex while working in the skin care industry. It's a tinted spf. I use it as my foundation. It's good for the skin & doesn't look or feel heavy. I add a drop of Colorescience Glow to it to give me a youthful glow to my skin.

I’m in peri menopause and my skin has become so dry in the lover part of my face. I’m trying to combat that with a thicker night cream. I’ve never suffered from acne, but now I’ve noticed a few spots ( not pimples ) that I don’t like 😂. I’m living in Sweden so a lot of the products you mentioned are not available here, but I’m going to start incorporating collagen to my diet, I hardly ever eat any protein. HRT can be quite difficult to get here, many on-gyn’s won’t prescribe it - probably because of the older studies. Thank you for great videos with terrific information and advice! 💕
What was helpful for me? At 52. Face oils! Morning and evening. Avoiding bad ingredients, like skin drying alcohol denat, avoiding fragrances. Also avoiding niacinamide in skin products. Yes. Niacinamide will dry you out like crazy. During the day i’m using homemade mist, 3 parts of face mineral water and one part of glycerin - only made enough to last 3-4 days as there are no preservatives. Also using “slagging” in the evening, thick layer of good thick cream. Btw, please make your product available internationally! Or at least allow forwarding addresses…
First time to hear niacinamide dries the skin. I live in a warm and humid environment. I have no issues with niacinamide. Then i went to England for a week. My skin was flaking. I attributed it to climate change and lack of sleep.
Yay. Something for we 50+ somethings :) Sadly, I have a prothrombin mutation which makes HRT a contraindication for me. Sucks. You're right about K Sunscreens. They are all I use.
Same here. I have Factor V Leiden and systemic HRT is a big NO - although my MDs have approved local, topical estrogen. I'll never get the same benefits but it's something. Anyone looking into HRT needs to let prescribers know if you have a history of blood clots.
@@SapphireandFadedJeans It seems it is oral oestrogen that is contraindicated for the risk of clots. Transdermal oestrogen and oral micronised progesterone don't increase the risk for clots.
I'm almost 50. My period started earlier by a week today I think my menopause is coming. But I am very active in sports so I fight it naturally. Also treating my skin the right way. Thanks to you and other dermatologists videos. I look like 30. Feels great!
I just turned 50 in December 2024. I think i m in peri menopause cos my period was two weeks late in December and a week early in September. My period had always been on time before. Only recently it goes a little bit off. I think i enter menopause soon.😢
Thank you...for all the information and awesome suggestions. I have been taking Hormone replacement for awhile. It as helped me alot. I take some supplements. I love your suggestions for the whole body. Really enjoy your videos!
The gold bond retinol body cream can also be used on the face. Cerave skin renewing night cream has been suggested by some derms for folks who don't want to spend on the Skinceuticals.
60g of protein is only enough to prevent deficiency, it is NOT enough for muscle protein synthesis and most women don’t eat complete proteins (meat, eggs, dairy) so we should be aiming for 90+ as an insurance policy.
I have the same issue. I need hydration but also get clogged pores and breakouts so I can only use certain moisturizers. Oils don’t work on my skin. And I cleanse well!
I’m in my 70s and was still getting breakouts, cystic hormonal type. I used CeraVe 4% benzoyl peroxide cream cleanser plus On-The-Spot 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream as needed. I still got occasional (still too much!) cystic pimples. I recently started using hypochlorous acid spray and haven’t had a breakout since. Does not dry my skin, just kills any acne-causing bacteria.
I’m having adverse effects of menopause. I’ve always had oily skin and now it’s worse than ever. I still moisturize but it’s difficult to keep the oil to a minimum.
(I have ben on HRT for 15 years and it is a life saver with my constant hot flashes. People say my skin looks great and I assume the HRT helps. I am 69 but very hesitant to put estrogen on my face too without consulting my menopause gyn. I use tretinoin, a red light laser mask and vitamin C. I never go outdoors without sunscreen and a hat as well in the summer. I wonder if estrogen on the face is just a fad??? Thank you for your excellent videos!
First, Thanks, Dr. Ellis. I found your channel a year or two ago; your information is so helpful! I'm in my second year of menopause. Though I had excellent skin as a teen a young adult, my skin is angry. I've had ongoing issues with folliculitis on my body that has only partially benefitted from clindamycin and an oral antibiotic, as well as angry and prolific breakouts, sebaceous hyperplasia treated with lasers but that seems to come back even more. I was born at the equator in the days before sunscreen was available, but was only there until being a toddler. I live at high altitude and have been vigilant about sunscreen since age 26, when I saw my future sun damage in a booth at an AAD conference (I used to be a health reporter). I've seen two different dermatologists. Is there anything more that I can be doing or anything else that I can be asking to eliminate these painful and embarrassing conditions? Thank you!
Hi Dr Ellis any chance I could ask what eyebrow pencil/colour, blush and pretty lipstick you are wearing. Looks gorgeous, I’d love to try them. And will Prequel be coming to Australia, would love to try your brand as well 🙏
Can you address acne during perimenopause? What about people who experience an inctease in acne? Spironolactone helps but also lowers libido and possibly mood?
56 - I’ve never had cancer, but my sister had breast cancer so my doctor will not prescribe HRT. Should I just find a new doctor or do I need to take this seriously? Healthcare is not what it once was… I get most of my medical information on RUclips and then follow up with my Doctor Who just shrugs 😩
Take it seriously. Ask for a consult with the breast center at your health system and they will do a full risk assessment. I cannot be on HRT due to risk factors.
Considering the multiple body lotions that are recommended, what is the order of applying these? Should they be applied the same day or alternate days?
Dr. Sam thank you for this video. Very imformative. I had a question about applying estrogen cream on your face. Will the other serums penetrate if you apply estrogen cream first? When you mentioned using it first are you talking about the vaginal cream? What about the compounded ones? Alloy suggests using it after serums and before moisturizer? I saw a video with another influencer saying she applies Alloy first. It is a little confusing. What is your intake on this?
Great information!!!! As someone who was told by her female Dr that I was too young to be starting perimenopause (I wasn't, she realized this after running some test) at age 48 and now in full menopause (age 53), it has been so frustrating trying to find information that is useful! So thank you! I am wondering about using retinoids as someone with rosacea though. What products would be recommended by you? Also, I live in the Netherlands, so getting info from a dermatologist here is quite opposite from the States and different products aren't available here either (frustrating, believe me). Any info would be appreciated🤗
I am an ovarian cancer survivor, so I started HRT... But then got hormone positive breast cancer and have been advised to stop anything with estrogen. With medically induced menopause, am I just doomed, or are there options to assist other than adding extra moisture?
I don't think so. I had an early menopause at the age of 42. I didnt take HRT until 10 years later, but my skin is still very good. My doc prescribed Evorel Conti for me. Genetic still plays another factor, too.
Is it safe to apply topical estrogen if you have seborrheic keratosis? I understand increased estrogen can lead to seborrheic keratosis. Have you found that to be the case? I take systemic hrt and would like to add the topical version to my routine. Thanks!
I just turned 54 today and so far, menopause has been a breeze for me. I have, however, noticed my skin seems to be much dryer. I have your Ureic Moisturizer and love it but am also looking for some other things to try
Welcome to the 50s club. I turned 50 in December 2024. I also notice my skin gets drier and my period is getting irregular. I think menopause is coming soon.
Did you gain weight? I did. I'm not fond of the depo shot. I don't know if the formula has changed. But I had a shot at 49 and it threw me into menopause.
@suzetteshares I am so sorry to hear what it did to you. That must have been horrible to go through 😞 I have gained weight on the depo shot but it seems to have helped me reach a healthy size for my body although I don't like it as I am carrying a little extra weight now than I would like but can't seem to lose it. I'm also looking more tired than I did a year ago too before I started it
Im on HRT and it definitely helps! But I recently figured out that Im very sensitive to PHENOXYETHANOL and it's in almost every cosmetic and skincare I use!! I hope I can eliminate it and get rid of the dryness and irritation that is on the skin around my eyes! Do you have any recommendations?
@@monhut6124 the main thing to watch for is pain and swelling on one leg. If you're doing exercise or are an athlete this can be confusing, but you should get pain with swelling of calf checked out for sure, if it is is in ONE leg only, esp. I waited too long because I was an athlete and I thought it was an injury. I ended up with several clots but thankfully I didn't die. Progesterone pills are less likely to cause clots than estrogen pills, but nothing is 100% safe.

Wait till U hit 60 …. big difference
So you're trying to look under 40?
@@joansmith6844yess after 60 everything change. I train whole my life.. but.. ☺️
Hi Dr. Ellis! What is the minimum dose of estrogen patches that is needed in order to affect skin beneficially after menopause?
I've also seen a couple derms mention the cerave skin renewing night cream for folks who might not want to get the skinceuticals.
HRT was life changing for me. They may have to peel it from my cold, dead hands 😂 i had no clue how much of a change it would make. I wish i would have statted it sooner. Of course, i do all the other things, except topical estrogen, its not easy to get in Canada yet
What changes have you see?
Sounds like you have a great skincare regime. What type of foundation do you use?
@ I use Drmtlgy matte tinted moisturizer SPF 46 and if I need to add foundation, I use Nikol Beauty serum foundation.
HRT - hmmm. As a breast cancer survivor taking tamoxifen - I don’t think this is a hood route for me. However appreciate the product recommendations.
Triple negative survivor here, plus ER positive pre-cancer. My oncology PA said no to topical estrogen.
Finding sunscreen that will allow my makeup to stay on my skin and not literally fall off my face is THE hardest thing ever!!
I was introduced to Colorescience Faceshield Flex while working in the skin care industry. It's a tinted spf. I use it as my foundation. It's good for the skin & doesn't look or feel heavy. I add a drop of Colorescience Glow to it to give me a youthful glow to my skin.
I was introduced to Colorescience Facesheild Flex while working in the skincare industry. It's a tinted spf. I use it as my foundation. It's not heavy & looks natural. I add a little drop of Colorescience Glow to give my skin a youthful glow. I highly recommend it.
Thank you so much for addressing these issues in your fantastic video!
Yes tell me about I’m 46 for one day to the next one noticed all the wrinkles specially under my eyes
New subscriber, I got a Prequel serum today and it is the perfect texture. Can't wait to try more.
@@A78cts23 aw yay!!! Thank you 🙏🏼
I use Naturium Glycolic Acid gel on my Arms and upper legs, knees, then apply One Skin lotion after and has really helped!
This is so timely.
Yay. Something for we 50+ somethings :)
Sadly, I have a prothrombin mutation which makes HRT a contraindication for me.
Thank you dr sam ellis love your brilliant videos ❤🎉😊 xx
Thanks so much for another lovely informative video!!🤗🥰
Thank you doctor very informative ❤
Thank you...for all the information and awesome suggestions. I have been taking Hormone replacement for awhile. It as helped me alot. I take some supplements. I love your suggestions for the whole body. Really enjoy your videos!
Good to know! Love that Alpha body lotion.
This is Fascinating!!! Thank you 👏👏👏
Very well explained.
Thick and affordable face cream: Gold Bond Age Renew tight & firm body/face lotion.
The gold bond retinol body cream can also be used on the face. Cerave skin renewing night cream has been suggested by some derms for folks who don't want to spend on the Skinceuticals.
Menopause is kicking my ass and killing my skin. I've always had acne but thought it would be better by 54 lol
60g of protein is only enough to prevent deficiency, it is NOT enough for muscle protein synthesis and most women don’t eat complete proteins (meat, eggs, dairy) so we should be aiming for 90+ as an insurance policy.
16:51 It would be helpful if the was product reformulation transparency.
Are the face creams you talk about in this video good for acne prone skin? My skin is very prone to acne
I have the same issue. I need hydration but also get clogged pores and breakouts so I can only use certain moisturizers. Oils don’t work on my skin. And I cleanse well!
@janenuss6 It can be so frustrating. I can't use oil too. My face doesn't tolerance certain face creams. I use cera ve am.
Supposedly the naturium multi-peptide rich cream is good for all skin types including acne.
@@mssmiley5691 I will try the spray.
I am a vegetarian. Could you please recommend plant-based alternatives for collagen, instead of animal-based collagen products? Thank you!
If you mean supplements, you can actually do a google search for them. I've seen beauty articles on them.
I'm plant-based and just found Vedge Nutrition came out with a vegan collagen made from carrot and broccoli extract.
I’m having adverse effects of menopause. I’ve always had oily skin and now it’s worse than ever. I still moisturize but it’s difficult to keep the oil to a minimum.
I’d love to see some solutions for the exact opposite with HRT. My skin breaks out constantly now.
Menopause Taylor explains that in her recent video.
i'm getting zits again!
HRT Patches are absolutely safe.
How do you get your hair so shiny? 🥰
56 - I’ve never had cancer, but my sister had breast cancer so my doctor will not prescribe HRT. Should I just find a new doctor or do I need to take this seriously?
Healthcare is not what it once was…
I get most of my medical information on RUclips and then follow up with my Doctor Who just shrugs 😩
Yes. Yes, you need to take that very seriously.
Take it seriously. Ask for a consult with the breast center at your health system and they will do a full risk assessment. I cannot be on HRT due to risk factors.
Should you put estrogen cream on before or after tretonin?
First thing after washing your face.
Considering the multiple body lotions that are recommended, what is the order of applying these? Should they be applied the same day or alternate days?
Im in early peri but slso have endometriosis so estrogen is a complex issue for me.. interested to hear ypur take on this Dr Sam x
Not specifically about the estrogen cream but most derms say that your other serums should penetrate provided you aren't using too many.
How about estrogen cream on face/skin?
Hi Dr Sam. When is the barrier therapy cream coming back in stock? Thanks ❤
I had to stop estrogen because it caused me to get early stage breast cancer.
The risk is real for some women
That's a problem with oral estrogen but not so much with topicals/patches.
@@sallyornelas1844 It really is. I feel like so many people dismiss the risks and say just get on HRT. Its certainly a gamble, I know this first hand.
I am an ovarian cancer survivor, so I started HRT... But then got hormone positive breast cancer and have been advised to stop anything with estrogen. With medically induced menopause, am I just doomed, or are there options to assist other than adding extra moisture?
Super good questions! I’m in a similar boat - just defeated triple positive breast cancer at 41, but am now in menopause and on tamoxifen.

Wonderful news that you beat ovarian & breast cancer! God bless you!

@Rebecca1427-ns3qd did you have a double mastectomy as well? I am a 42 yo tnbc survivor as well.
What can be done for thin skin on arms that bruises?
So what if you are 9 yrs into menopause, not on HRT, until now. Will i see an increase in collagen?? Or is it gone forever?
Happy birthday! 🎂🎊
Welcome to the 50s club. I turned 50 in December 2024. I also notice my skin gets drier and my period is getting irregular. I think menopause is coming soon.
Can you do HRT if you have hormonal hair loss after menopause?
I’m 64 and just last year I started getting acne on my shoulders out of the blue and it hasn’t gone away. Would you be able to address this?
Is Estrogen cream safe to apply if you have family history of breast cancer?
I am dealing with this now. Even a couple of years ago, I could have used sand paper on my face, now, I touch it, and it turns red. So frustrating.
does anyone know if those collagen drinks help with collagen? or is it a sham?
What is your opinion on topical progesterone?
Dr. Mary Claire Haver, ob/gyn who specializes in menopause/HRT, doesn't recommend it. There are videos of her explaining why.
This is all me in my twenties! And it’s only been getting worse since being on the depo shot to treat endometriosis! Feel doomed
I'm also looking more tired than I did a year ago too before I started it
There is someone behind the glass
Been through perimenapause and now at the other side on hrt but my skin is still oily
How can I use a retinoid or vitamin C if I'm eczema prone? I'm 63.
I turned 63 yesterday. Is it too late to start HRT?
Can't do HRT because I took it for 2 months and got life-threatening blood clots. I appreciate info on info that doesn't involve HRT. Thx.
Did you use the oral form or the skin patches? The skin patch method does not go through the liver metabolism and the blood clots are largely avoided.
How did you find out you got blood clots? I’ve just started HRT and a bit scared (estradiol gel, testosterone gel and progesterone pills).
@@monhut6124 do not use the pill form, use the skin patches form.
I’d love to watch the video you mentioned for how to up our retinol game if we’re already using retinoid. I can’t find it- anyone have a link? 🙏🏽
Are you supposed to use all these body creams together?
Hi Dr. Ellis. I had a physical right before the holidays and well, I’m changing my eating and exercise habits. I’m afraid what is going to happen to my skin all over from face, neck, chest, arms and legs as I’m on a journey to lose about 100 pounds. What do you suggest? I’m excited but scared about the sagging that is coming my way.

I'm so curious as a breastfeeding mother, does breastfeeding cause the same issues, given low estrogen?
