What i love about your channel is that you show the build after a month. It really helps us new terrarium peeps to understand what is going to happen after a while ❤
Yea, Many people complain that the builds won't last, but now they have no excuse because we always see them thriving in not just the build video, but in future videos too!🫡
I just wanted to check through the video, but the fact that you showed the results after 4 weeks (something I am desperately missing with other creations like this) made me watch the whole video and sub instantly. Great work!
I was given a 4ft fish tank and been toying with the idea of one of these…. Watching this vid pushed me to start it…. Gluing the rocks together is a master stroke! Would never of thought of it. My main worry was putting a water feature in but the way you made it look so simple, I can wait to get started. Thx and keep up the good work
Definitely going to do one like this Inspired me so much thank U heaps already got a 21liter tank now time to sort the rest off the bits and bobs and then I'll be on my way awesome video man thanks heaps ♥️💯🙏
hey just a FYI for you and your viewers, with the Tissue culture plants, that Gell the plants are in contain growth hormones (auxin and cytokinin) that seriously shouldn't be touched with bare hands,
yeah it contains, but its not made entirely of hormones. tc is mostly agar, you need to rinse the gel off the plant anyway so your fingers are being rinsed too. not that big of a risk
It’s important to look at who wrote the paper saying the hormones are fine, was it a TC company?, also even though the gel is mostly agar, it’s important to note that our body does not naturally make that type of hormone and while it’s a low chance of any actual harm, it has been linked to cancer and even a little amount could change our natural hormones by a little bit, and deppending on, could make you feel sick.
Hey, I want to thank you. The most profound, sincere, and significant thank you I can offer is for you. I will likely never build a terrarium, as I do not have a green thumb. But I used your super glue and tissue method to repair my kid's dearly beloved ceramic piggy bank. It was very effective. The tissue successfully bonded the bigger cracks where the shattered pieces were missing. Seriously, thank you. I never would've thought to do it had I not been watching your videos.
As always, it looks good 👍 I would like to see a valley paladarium with a small lake on the middle! As for the names - Shelly, Brandy, Pally! I think they'd fit ♥️♥️
This is super cool! I’ll probably use this as a reference as i am planning on making a bioactive enclosure for something as a gift to my mom, who has recently become interested in things like this, and i would really love to include a waterfall feature! I really love water features 😄 im thinking a gold dust day gecko maybe! They are super pretty little dudes, and i actually caught a baby one during my trip to Hawaii! Super cute guys. But if all else fails, i have some backup creatures in mind! Im really exited to start working on this!
Great build bro ! I’ve a few queries .. 1. Since the pump is down somewhere, what if the pump gets clogged or needs maintenance or repair etc .. ? 2. There will be a time when coarse foam will Get clogged May be after 1-2 years .. what after that ?
That’s the problem no one talks about … definitely complete tear down if you think about it. But this video illustrates the build not solve problems because RUclips is all about getting likes 😅
This looks great!! Subscribed! Thanks you so much. I am just starting this hobby as I can no longer work with large landscapes. The links are appreciated and will be watching more of your channel. I'm now just now collecting supplies and planning my strategy for growing the most used plants, springtails isopods... This is the first I've seen a "floating" plants used and the effect was awesome!! Cheers!!
This is beautiful! A few questions: Is it necessary to adjust the pump? Wiring seems complicated! Also, how is the hinged glass front panel held in place? Surely not taped? Lastly, is the open panel enough to keep the springtails safely in their tank, where they belong? Or are escapees a problem?
beautiful project, congrats! I have one question left, how is the cleaning and maintenance of the pump done? would you have to demonstrate the project? if the pump is dirty or clogged
My sister and i are trying to build a paluderium for her white’s tree frogs. This video has really helped me understand how to begin structuring a waterfall for her froggies. Would these rocks be frog safe?
Quick tip with the expanding foam is if you use a spray bottle with water and spray the foam with copious amounts, you can mold it immediately and it will harden up really fast.
That's really great. I'm planning to build something like this, bit I want to add a mist system too. And I have a question: where have you bought the springtales? Don't they try to escape from the paladurium? Or is the "hanging glass door" in front good enough to hold them inside?
Came across your channel, great sight to the view with this Paludarium! Would love to see Paludarium with rain fall bamboo-ish type plants like asparagus fern etc. for your next project.
Its always a good day when Terrarium Designs posts! I actually had quite a stressful day today, and seeing this video come out made my day all the better😁🫠
I absolutely love watching your videos! They're so informative! I know I'm a little late watching this video, but if you haven't named the snails yet, how about Winken,Blinken, and Nod like in the old nursery rhymes?
Fantastic build.....got me hooked........lookin to get baby vampire crabs for this...liked and subscribed....more please...different designs...keep rockin.
I have a question - My plan is to do this in a tank 30x30x45 (LBH). The front has a secrtion which "closed"' this I want to use as a small aquarium part (e.g. for freshwater shrimps). My question is how to filter this water? When I use "only"the black filter mat, then how to clean it after a while? Have you built a Paludarium with some shrimps/fish tank section? If yes....which video? Thank you for you help. Best from Singapore
I’ve been wanting to make a build like this for a while, but am just now learning about this hobby… are the snails there to eat the algae, or just to provide extra life to the tank?
thanks for great video! one question though, if we put some fishes there, will the coarse filter foam and pump get dirty overtime? If yes, how can we clean them up?
I am new to all this, and this looks interesting. Does it get to the point where you dont need to change the water ? Do you need to add any food at any stage ? or do they spring tails and snails eat the algae and wood
I have a big terrarium than I desire to make into a paludarium. My question is what would you do if the pump malfunctions? Will you need to replace it or would you reply on the plants to act as your biofilter and leave the pump in there?
A plant that I recommend is the money tree (not a joke, that's actually what it's called), it does well in closed container conditions, cuttings can root and grow, but you might need a bigger container since it grows up to 11in.
alright bro, when you say water change every week, do you only take out half the water and refill? or do you take out all thre water and refill???? cheers
Is great stuff and super glue safe for frogs and fish and shrimp after it's cured ? Is lava rock too scratchy for tree frogs, perhaps it might cause small abrasions and infection ?
Rly good video! I like your page!! Any idea how can i check if thats legal to import those plants to my country? Any way to check it before getting fined?

What i love about your channel is that you show the build after a month. It really helps us new terrarium peeps to understand what is going to happen after a while ❤
That’s great! I think it’s always nice to see a small transformation of the plants, glad you enjoyed it:)
Yea, Many people complain that the builds won't last, but now they have no excuse because we always see them thriving in not just the build video, but in future videos too!🫡
@@Tinnerito I think they only "don't last" if not properly taken care of. User error, not the paludarium's fault!
@@UnicornsExist17 Thats what I'm saying. People just assume that the person can only build, but not maintain
@@Tinnerito The maintenance seems to be the easiest part, and the great reward of the project. :)
I just wanted to check through the video, but the fact that you showed the results after 4 weeks (something I am desperately missing with other creations like this) made me watch the whole video and sub instantly. Great work!
it’s amazing how much more established the plants look in just four weeks!
I agree!

yeah it contains, but its not made entirely of hormones. tc is mostly agar, you need to rinse the gel off the plant anyway so your fingers are being rinsed too. not that big of a risk
Makes sense but what will touching hormone do to you. When you look it up online it says its ok

Thanks for your setup, it inspires me a lot. Since I am a newbie in this field, I just wonder why do we need springtails in here?
These projects are so beautiful 🔥 I wanna try to do one one day. It’s like having an aquarium/zoo in your house :)

What a wonderful peace of art ! Have you thought of adding tiny fishes to it ?
i also wonder like can fish live there? i wanna do smth like this paladarium but not sure if the fish can survive there without adding anything else.

Beautiful man! Thanks for the detailed tutorial!

gosh this is beautiful
Beautiful!! Thank you so much for sharing this build, it is an inspiration.
Excellent guide, thanks! How do you make sure the glass remains at 90degree angles while the silicone is still curing?
beautiful project, congrats! I have one question left, how is the cleaning and maintenance of the pump done? would you have to demonstrate the project? if the pump is dirty

Great tutorials and beautiful building!
It looks beautiful, but how did you make the elbow for the tubing?
im doing a build, should i connect all my hardscape pieces together, or leave them in a few pieces?

Do you use any type of fertilizer in the water to help the plants grow?
What about bungle, zippy & George for the snail names (I’m showing my age now)!
I LOVE THESE VIDEOS!!!

Do you have to use a certain type of water to fill it up / change with?
Tiny, Tippy and Tom the snails :D
Do you have to mist the plants , sorry new to this , lovely set up by the way
Do you think box in this size would be suitable for some small amphibians, or would they need something bigger?
i love it❤
Very inspiring thanks!
So nice. Im curious… are you filming with a chest mount GoPro, to get these awesome shots?
Nope, just my camera:)
I have a big terrarium than I desire to make into a paludarium. My question is what would you do if the pump malfunctions? Will you need to replace it or would you reply on the plants to act as your biofilter and leave the pump in there?
if I bought a fish tank how many gallons should it be. (for a small Paludarium)
Triops would be a neat addition
How did you hold the front glass on? Tape?
It was taste but I replaced it with a small bead of silicone:)
Hi what's the best way to fix the cover or lid for the paludarium and is a light source required ?
Do you have to do a water change every month or will it be token care of by the spring tales
Can frogs live there?
As long as they pass the credit check, and have first and last month's rent
I’d assume they might try to jump out so probably not the best idea
A plant that I recommend is the money tree (not a joke, that's actually what it's called), it does well in closed container conditions, cuttings can root and grow, but you might need a bigger container since it grows up to 11in.
What if we add a scorpion for this
idk if you already named them but Gary or Gerald or gilbert sounds pretty good
What other methods are there for sticking the rocks together? Mine don't really sick to the paper that well :(
alright bro, when you say water change every week, do you only take out half the water and refill? or do you take out all thre water and refill???? cheers
Is is easy to maintain? Have you made any videos on how to maintain it?
