wow not sure how Im going to go exploring places like this but Im going to do it . Nothing ventured nothing gained. So dry, but what is attractive is how quiet it will be. Great video. Enjoyed.
The Gwalia State Hotel looks very similar to a hotel that I used to visit in NSW and is still going, the similarity is striking. Its the Ironbark Inn Hotel, Stuart Town, NSW. I stayed there for 2 weeks each year for 2 years when I was on Exchange between the RN and RAN. I was The Course Implementation Officer for Clearance Diving Training at HMAS Penguin in Sydney from 1987-89 and I used to take diving courses to do their final assessment weeks at Burrendong Dam near Stuart Town. The local girls used to come out of the bush when they heard that new gene pools had arrived in town. At times, a terrifying sight.
This is wonderful....watching this video from Pommieland this shows what I think is 'real' Australia.Tragically a land and lifestyle that is dying in order to produce a country that one will be unable to distinguish from any other 21st century homoginised replica.A land and people and social tapestry that was once unique to Australia and beloved and envied by soo many.A true 'Alice in Wonderland' story that has lasted for nye on 300 years being put to the sword by our modern meaningless God of economics.Lets all move to the city where they have hot & cold running water, air conditioning, parking restrictions and accountants.Your new world awaits sir and you have been warned.
