I'm going into year 11 after this break, and really worried. The field i want to get into is very competitive. i would kill for anyone to help me get through this year. Good luck to everyone for the next year!
Hello revishaan. I just want to thank you for everything you have taught me about effective studying techniques and small tips to help me perfect my exams. Im from scotland and just finished sitting my highers which are equivalent to A - levels. I ended up with 5 straight A's in maths, physics, chemistry, english and business. Thank you for everything bro!
Thank you for uploading revishaan as I am going to start year 11 in September. Also our teachers won’t wrong when they said year 10 would go in a flash even though I have great memories as I did well in our movie but I am kind of nervous for the year 11 ones.
thanks brother looking to get an apprenticeship as an electrician good luck with year 13 starting on monday with year 11, it's crazy how time flies, i remember being in year 7 thinking i want these years to be over but ill guess ill miss it, but im also nervous for after school with adults saying stuff like school years are the best years of ur life but i think i'd be happier learning on a apprenticeship than being a full time student but i guess the opinion differs among people anyway like i said before good luck mate, hope all goes well and hope ur results went well.
one thing i also have which i guess is worrying i aint worried about exams or anything because i've always had the mindset that whatever i get and whatever happens will happen, do you think this is a good mindset or should i focus more? ( also btw i took geography idk why tho cause i had no interest in it and atm i dont know much about it, anything i could do to help?)
Thank you so much Ishaan, really needed this advice for next year 11, Strangely I have been revising passively for every subject and so far getting 7 and 8 in y10 mocks, it works for me than active revision tbh.
I never really tried cause my parents didn’t really help with setting up a schedule to do homework when I was younger I was just never enforced to do my homework cause I knew my parents didn’t care and even then the teachers didn’t really care and I hate asking questions so I never really figure out how to best study for me as I have a horrible memory and my parents work a lot my older sister works and my nana can’t look after my younger siblings alone so I help look after them and that’s why I haven’t gotten a job yet cause I’m hesitant about who’s gonna watch my sibling when we have conflicting schedules
tysm for this revishaan ! I currently revise a decent amount in year 10 and am aiming to get all 8/9's in Novemember mocks. This has already made me less stressed and has gave me a insight of year 11. Thankss !
Man I’m so stressed and I’m scared my mental health would drain my energy out and what if things don’t work out what if I end up failing it causes me nausea just thinking about it
I’m going into year 11 and hope I don’t go back to my old ways I was back in year 8 and 9 where I didn’t pay attention enough and got distracted easily. Year 10, at the start I was decent but went back to my old bad ways which I wish didn’t happen.
3:15 lol I’ve been doing homework on the set date since year 7. I would use computers at lunch. I don’t know why but even if it’s due in six weeks I could not relax without having it completed.
Summary of what i learnt from the video - year 11 goes super fast and there isn’t much teaching so start reviewing stuff! - do work on the same day it has been set - ask for help! It’s so important that you clarify your doubts - treat your mocks like the real gcse, revise as much as possible - work smart! - use flash cards on places like anki and quizlet I’m going into year 11 too so this video is just what we all needed. Thx so much for the tips Ishaan!
1:14 Unfortunately that's not true for a friend's daughter 😕, her academy have been what she considers 'behind' in delivering lessons. Many teachers leaving the school, missing 3 months of content (due to staff shortages), returning to school only being halfway through nearly all 7+ subjects. 💀👍Is that enough time for revision? Ps. We do appreciate this video, thank you Revishaan
Hi Zahrah, That’s an extremely unfortunate scenario that she is facing. I would say it’s worth investing in something outside of school to aid her through the process. If she can, I would recommend YT to watch videos / Seneca to catch up on learning. Of course you can email me anytime: ishaan@ishaanb4.com for tuition/extra support.
@@Revishaan Thank you Revishaan for the advice. I'll pass on the advice to herself and my friend. Hi, great video; I am going into year 11 and these tips should really help. On the section of the video about the timetable, do you have an example one that you used - it would be really helpful for some inspiration - if so if you have a spare minute could you post it on your story as a link or just photo?
Hi Revishaan, I have been watching your Tiktoks and RUclips videos for over a year now and being inspired by you is the reason Year 9 has been my most successful year. I want Year 10 to be like that too and you talk about Anki a lot and I was wondering if you use it for all your subjects and how you make your flashcards in terms of the content on them. For example with the sciences I have the really thick textbooks (around 400 pages long each) so I'm sure if I should make flashcards from them or from the thinner revision guides as they're more concise. Also how do you sort out all of your decks on there, do you have folders for each subject, bigger topic, then subtopics? Is there a way to do that? Thank you for the videos you put out and good luck with Year 13
I'm going into year 10 and started my courses in year 9. This means that I have 3-4 lessons a day but because I was in the musical and part of this program where I'd go on trips, I've already learnt about how horrible it is catching up with school work I miss. It must be deadly if you have 7 lessons a day. I only missed 2 days tho because of covid right at the end of the year though I could have won some vouchers (for 100% attendance). I'm also really glad I had year 9, I barely studied but I now am going to try the 'hour everyday method' in year 10. Anyway, I just wanted to say that lol..... Also does anyone have any tips for eng lit revision, I struggle with it so much (I got like 47% in the EOY and for my first proper eng lit exam, it isn't horrendous but I have no idea how to improve!!!) and I'm afraid I'm gonna fail
Hi revishaan, could you please tell me what flashcards to make on anki correlating to what I am doing in school. e.g. Do I make flashcards for the content I have learned in school that day or...?
honestly not that deep. I don't know anyone who actually revised before year 11. just really make sure to put effort into your mocks. just don't stress it too much or you'll burn out.
This is all cap yr 11 is light if u j focus in class and do ur homework ur set u don’t need to do revision timetable j make sure that u revise in holiday and do lots of past papers. It better u do homework last min cuz ur work more effective cuz if u do it the day it set u won’t be motivated
