when u die, popup to start new character will appear and then go to same place - and see urself as zombie :P also a tip for ya, when u plan to play same game with many characters then IF you are going to be a zombie in near future coz of infection then stash your inventory to backpack or any furniture you can find before u die so you will retain ALL of your stuff :) since becoming zombie looses almost everything since zombie can carry only 7 weight or something along this lines, so FYI if you have many stuff valuable on you - before dying strip yourself and put all inventory to any container :D
Love the vid, (and Hugh, if you know what I mean ;), but you got killed by the zombie infection from the laceration that you received. Low chance of it happening, but once the infection gets to you, you literally can't stop it. Bites have 100% chance of infection btw.
Oh no kidding? How can you tell? Or was it because of the moodle "something doesn't feel right" And damn i thought only bites could turn you! Nothing can be done? Lol

The sandbox mode is awesome! You can change the settings for pretty much anything. Zombie numbers, what can and can’t infect you, meta events, etc. I like to play with zombie respawn turned off for a more immersive experience. That way every fight matters and you can slowly reclaim the world!
I really need to dig into that more. For this run i just did standard whatever haha. The idea of once an area is clear it stays clear sounds way better imo. And if i could find my old survivors too, that'd be sweet lol
@@PapaCheddar There’s also zombie migration which makes zombies move to other cells. If this stays on there will be a couple visitors in cleared out areas every now and then but it can also be turned off if you prefer. Once you start a world you can pretty much spawn as many survivors into it as times you die. It will have the same settings as before but everything you've done stays there. This makes it both easier and harder since you can use your old loot and base but the world will have progressed by the time your first previous characters were alive, meaning food may have spoiled and the easier ways of leveling up skills may be over. It's a lot of fun playing around with!
Zombie migration would make sense from a realism standpoint I think lol. So that's pretty dope. I'll be dabbling in PZ again soon I hope. I'll have to spend some time and go through the sandbox settings and try and make a solid world. Thank you for the info brother!
@@PapaCheddar no problem. I also keep migration on for realism and there are videos on youtube explaining how to do certain things with the settings for pretty much any playthrough
Yk what's really hard? Surviving in project zomboid during early access version with no map and no damn car like I remember walking from one side of the map to the other side and had to use buildings, signs etc to figure out wtf I was and ended up making signs with a letter above it to show what area is in that direction and it took a few characters to get all that stuff going and I even made a base with a little fenced in area where zombies can't get out of and I would throw my character in before he dies so that all my dead characters hang out together while the new character has zombie friends to observe when he gets bored and eventually joins them
Ahhh i remember those days 😂 good times and bad times lol. I played first years ago and kept checking in on it throughout. Waited til there was a little more meat on its bones. Waaaaay easier now haha. More playable anyway
You can definitely keep playing in rhe same world as hu but youd be a different character as for why you died your infection settings in game were most likely the vanilla settings and i think the virus can be transmitted via blood and saliva so you couldve got zombie blood in your laceration resulting in your slow death hence why you got queasy and hot
@@PapaCheddar you can change the world settings before you start if you select customize as yours game mode it opens a huge amount of options i love zomboid i got hella hours lol but pc still in pawn!!
That vid opening 🤣 I feel like 3 days is a long time. I played this a while back. I mostly ran from building to building from an ever growing horde. Kinda making me want to give this another try
Haha thanks 😅 thats the ego boost i needed. Games hard man! You should, they have done a ton if updates. I got the game years ago and barely have any time in it. But current state is way better than when i first got it.
@@PapaCheddar ye! a lot of folks tell me i should give it a go. played with some folks, but i honestly didn't know what i was "trying" to do other than not get dead. i'll have to mess with the server settings too. make a challenge, but not like i'm the only person alive lol
Lol fair enough 😂. It got way more fun for me when i started messing with the stuff thats not just trying to not get dead haha. Like cooking, foraging, woodworking. Even the car stuff. Adds a lot more fun imo. Tons of mods too, i haven't tried any recently but check those out and you'll probably find something dope
I hope you boys enjoy the story if Hugh! Our beloved confused hobo ❤️

I prefer living outside too. There's plenty of room for all my stuff.

When me and me buddy played a zombie game he got so many painkillers he popped them non stop
To this day we call pain pills candy

According to google pants is a shortened form of pantaloons and like 400 years ago pants used to be two separate pieces
If only they still were... Easy access 😏
If you don't start a new map you should be able to find your previous life.

No he died from zombie infection. Should turn off infection from scratches.
