Tragic and fortunate coincidence that Mo gave James this platform to reminisce about his life in fencing just a couple of months before his death. A gentleman and a total legend.

I had the privilege of working under James' leadership when he was Director of Public Health at Medway Council. Such an inspirational, humble and kind man. His loss is devastating and leaves a huge void in our lives. Recordings like this is one of his numerous legacies. Thank you for sharing, and thank you James, for all that you did for so many. I was fortunate to have known you. Rest in peace, o captain, my captain.

RIP Willy. We joined up together at 16 and spent a year in basic training. Absolutely gutted and heartbreaking news.

Love this man. Was a hero to me when I first picked up a sabre in 1988/89 but as a kid I was so in awe of him I never did have the courage to speak to him until a couple of years ago, Ziemek finally formally introduced us and a nicer, more decent, more knowledgeable and technically gifted man you'd never meet. SabreX would not have happened had it not been for the faith he had in me and the concept. I'm proud to have him as a coach, friend and valued advisor. Great video Marius, and long overdue as James' contribution to fencing in the country has been overlooked for too long. Thank you.

A gentleman in every aspect of life. A man who I was honoured to call a friend. Even now I cannot grasp he passed so early. For everything you did for our sport, for my child, for the whole community I cannot even find the words to express our gratitude. A giant who changed lives, and with such humility and endless love. RIP in James so many will never forget the difference that you made.

Living in New Zealand 🇳🇿 United Kingdom 🇬🇧 you are charming to listen too. My interest in Fencing Swordsman has only been as a viewer from home. Being a recently retired nurse. Olympic gold medalists
and World Champions South Korea 🇰🇷. Hungary 🇭🇺 also. They are consistent. Good luck to you and your team❤❤😊
