I have been using the Nisi Swift ND filter set for some time now and it really impressed me with how good the filters are. Super easy to use with extremely high quality! Absolutly love it!
Make sure you use a bigger diameter than your lens. I found lots of vignetting on a 18-105 f4 Sony lens on the wide end with both filters on. I had to return it.
The first day I used them my mist filter popped off and rolled down the mountain where I couldn't recover it, and the ND filter screw used to change the amount snapped off and I had no response from NISI when I emailed them about it.
Damn, sounds like a manufacturing error or something. Hope you can get that resolved. 🫨 Mine have never fallen off nor do they go anywhere when bumping or shaking intentionally. 🤔

Hi , with this kit : NiSi SWIFT 82mm VND Mist Kit 1-9 Stops (1-5 Stops VND, 4 Stop ND, Black Mist 1/4) can you do a combination to have a 15 stop filters? Like long exposure during day time? Also because i already have the mist black screw filters from nisi, can this system be add in top of those mist filters? Thank you so much for your help ( and i hope you understand my question, sorry English is not my main language) ☺️🙏🏻
@@demipita9090 I am a filmmaker so I never use over 9 stops so I haven't tried this out. But in theory as long as your other ND has a tread on both sides you can put it behind the nisi swift system to get more stops. Although I'd recommend using as little filters as possible because the more you add the lower the quality becomes.
I'm not quite sure since I don't use a CPL myself. But I think nisi does offer a CPL for the swift system so it should be possible. It's always a bit iffy because variable ND filters are two CPL filters stacked on top of each other so adding another can cause weird effects. You might need to ask nisi directly for confirmation if they don't state it anywhere in which order you should put them.
@@edouhoekie Thank's for the reply, I got me the same kit this week. I got a real estate project to do I just want to achieve the blue sky colours through the windows, because usually windows get blown on a sunny day. any advice?
@elaroussinoureddine9801 Achieving proper dynamic range like that is hard. You should definitely shoot in LOG if your camera has this capability. Making sure the sun is not on the side of the window you are shooting helps too. And make sure to push the exposure as far as you can without blowing out the sky but also not having your shadows too grainy. The hard part is that something like this very much relies on how much dynamic range your camera can achieve and is only a skill thing up until a certain level. You can use masks in the color grading process to make the windows darker as an extra bit of dynamic range but other than that that's about all you can do unless you want to replace the sky.
The VND filter is the base filter of the system so you cannot put the mist behind it. Although you can put the mist on it without any ND with the adapter ring. From testing to order of things doesn't change the results in any noticeable way unless you are pixel peeping. Hope that answers your question! 🙌
@@edouhoekie I put a normal black mist 1.8 on the lens and screwed a nisi nd filter on it, and it holds :-) hopefully it will work:-) greetings from the Czech Republic
Ah okay, that's a rough equivalent of 25.6mm on fullframe, I've used it on a 24mm lens on fullframe and had practically no to very little vignetting. Always make sure the filter is bigger since that minimizes vignetting. All variable ND filters on a very high stop will cause slight vignetting but nothing that is not fixable in post. This one has by far the least from the ones I've tested so far.
@@edouhoekie Thank you for the information. For the information. For sigma 16mm 1.4f lens, it said match 67mm filters. So what size NISI SWIFT ND filter I need to choose? 67mm or 72?
I am super impressed by this filter set from Nisi. What do you think; is this the best filter set on the market right now? Which filters do you use?

From most of the people I know I've heard good experiences with this filter system so far. And now I've tried it I am part of those people haha 😅
Those filters were really nice, including the system that allows you to slide them on 🔥
Yes, it's very nice and secure as well.
Yeah love my 1-5 stop nisi - didn’t know they did an additional bit for more stops I’ll have to check that out
Yehhhhhh, it's really neat. I am not sure if it's compatible with any other Nisi filters but the swift system is very well designed in my opinion. 🙌
I cant believe, i had PM VND 2-5 almost 4 years and now i bought NISI filter 1-5 stops, no regrets
Yehhhhhh filters have come a long way! I love this set so much!

Yep, that's always the case with any VND with wider angle lenses. Mine is 82mm and I have had zero issues.

@DynamicLearning4u No problem, I'll test it out when I have the chance but I have no clue when I'll have a CPL to use haha

would it require a CPL on top of the kit or it won't work well? any advice please
