I swear I’m so ready for that story time, he makes me so mad from when listening to the abuse he has done to her.

The amount of adults that just didn't listen is baffling to me 😭. Here you are telling them that someone hurt you and they're acting like you're delusional. And then to accuse you of having "temper tantrums" as opposed to mental meltdowns from the distress you were in is ridiculous to me. I'm so happy that you're able to be on this platform and tell your story and that you were able to find some quality of life despite your traumas. It takes a special person to be that vulnerable on the internet. Sending love your way. ❤️❤️

The sad thing is I had a very similar experience. No one cares. No one listen to me. in the worst part is they did the same thing to an adult when they were little and they still let me be around him . Then you act out because nobody cares and then you’re just labeled a problem child when there’s obvious trauma that has happened. I worked with kids, my whole life I owned a daycare and seen how much the state doesn’t care. I could tell you stories that would have you sobbing what I’ve seen with little kids in the state lets them keep their kid and doesn’t even check up on them. Even when there’s bruises on their face with the outline of the fathers fist, and saying what the father has done to them “S A” and they can look at the little boy with the bruise on his face and say I think it’s OK to leave him here. He’s safe with you guys. and the parents will never bring him back to my school because they know that I will keep reporting him and they just go on the run. It hurts me so much to hear her stories because I’ve lived them.

YOU WERE NOT A DIFFICULT CHILD. YOU WERE DOING YOUR BEST. I can't believe even with everything you went through you even thought about apologizing. You were treated inhumanely. Those women better understand how lucky they are. And your mom better feel so thankful that you even give her the time of day. Just bc she is your blood does not make her your mom. She was anything but that, to you. She is very very lucky and blessed to have you.

Hey Mija ✝️💟ready for this story time. Congratulations on being a first time auntie!! My nephew, gave me my 1st auntie title. He is now gonna be 37 this year, and I still call him baby, and he still calls me AUNTIE!! I just love that! I have many nieces and nephews, plus I now have great nieces and nephews!! OMG I can't believe it. When I realized baby, will be 37 years old this year, threw me!! Mentally I don't feel like I'll be turning 48 yrs old this year (physically well that's a different story! But I have some major skeletal probs), anyway...other than the Mom title, being an AUNTIE is amazing!! Again congrats mama!! 💞💞

Ugh baby Lex was getting whacked from all sides, of course you reacted the way you did. And it wasn’t even like you were being super destructive out in the streets doing drugs or turning tricks, all you did was try to work, and manage the multitude of abusive you were stuck in personally and professionally COMPLETELY ALONE. It’s a blessing you’re even here rn and not bitter and vengeful like many people turn out to be dealing with much less.
I think if u were to tell this generation someone touched you, they would take it seriously. Sadly back then, no one cared but now days I would hope they take it more seriously. Sad truth

43:40 What was the point of her wanting you to apologize, the whole reason she was mad was because you were pointing out that she was unfit for having you around him. She then asks you to apologize for your true and very valid emotions and then questions why do you want to be over there; the same place she was initially sent you away for not wanting to be. She’s very manipulative maybe that’s the drugs.
I feel like recalling these stories for yourself is a type of therapy. You’re realizing so many things you’ve never realized. Good on your mom for healing over time , I don’t think she did you those ways out of her not liking you I feel like she seen herself in you. A lot of people are unhappy with themselves…
As a trauma therapist and group facilitator, I can 100% assure you. IT WAS THE THERAPISTS FAULT!!! I am horrified to hear you had to endure that from so-called professionals.
I'm so sorry Lex! I remember those moments of range and frustration and realizing that none of the adults in positions to help actually care or can help, they're just doing a job and no one is actually going to save us or change anything. It trigers this realization of "I'm on my own" "it's just me myself and I" and yup we learn to play the game. Just act cool calm and collected get out and move on.

Man I can remember, I still go through it at times at 31, the conflicts my brain would go through trynna grasp my moms hate for me. Trying to understand why, but then feeling like maybe it is me, and then the little voice in the back like nah fuck that and wanting to rage. It’s a wild ride to go on having your mama so blatantly just hating you. It hits different than any other painful mind fuck I been on.

More than that though, bc you show your feelings, proves that all those horrific things that happened to you, didn't break your body, mind, soul, or spirit.
So many people push their trauma down or its changed them so much, they're not living a good life. Either they're going through the motions of life robotic, using their trauma as an excuse to be a terrible human or they're institutionalized.
You should be so incredibly proud of yourself.
You'll always deal with your trauma but you're also teaching all of us how to be better people and parents.
I'm sorry you had to go through all of that but thank you for making the world a better place.❤
Once again, you are survivor, your mom was outright gaslighting you by asking the child "what's the plan"..."why would you get a room to yourself?" trying to entrapt you so she could justify her failures and actions. It just couldn't still have that toxicity in my life. It's funny how people show up when you're glowing up.

I hope that you and everyone who watches that might have similar stories understand "staying in a child's place" doesn't exist with adults who actively ignore/participate in your abuse. That phrase itself comes from the generation that believed they could treat their kids however because they were property. And your parents having their own story and demons doesn't entitle them to a relationship, forgiveness, or grace.
Hey probably gave you UTIs and BV from him being around, you were too young to know that. It sucks that he did that to your body and you thought there was something wrong with YOU , all the symptoms you are describing are of untreated UTIs and or BV , so sorry you went through that hes gross.

I can relate so much on the place you are at with your mom. It has taken a lot of time, therapy, fighting, and asserting boundaries to get to this good place. You can give her grace and accept accountability on both ends. You can empathize with her by giving her grace but you have the self awareness to know it was wrong the way she went about stuff. I completely get it. It’s like although you (I) struggle with anxiety you are working hard to get to this good place. Through the struggles of breaking the generational trauma there is no place you would rather be. Now you can start to see the fruits of your labor of taking into account your feelings and relying on good coping mechanisms you have learned as a adult not as a child. You deserve love mama and it’s ok to expect respect in the process. Thanks for letting us be apart of this journey of healing.❤

This story time got me in my feels Lex. I have those exact same feelings about how my mom raised my little half sisters. I always say we got the messed up mom but it makes me think of what she went through after we lost my dad. She remarried and had 2 kids with man she started to date after my dad's passing. Meanwhile my grandma raised my siblings and I til we were teenagers. To this day I still get feelings of why couldn't you love us the way you love them. My little sisters don't see it the way I do. 😢😢

i definitely understand how your sister is raised part.. when i was born my mom was 15 and she had to go through trials and tribulations, then she had 2 more kids and got me back around 8th grade for me… i had an in and out mom & they get to have an everyday mom. so i def understand not being mad at your sister but being like damn…

This is the second time I’ve watched this, and I just got emotional. Jade, you are such a good person. SUCH a wonderful human. Hearing you say that you give your mom grace. That as a mother you cannot forgive her, but as her child, you can was just so powerful, Lex! The amount of work you’ve done on yourself to heal and work through your journey to get to the place you are today is remarkable. I hope that you get everything in this world that life has to offer, because you deserve it. I’ve writeen a couple comments over the years expressing my anger towards your mom or other adults in your life and how they failed you and let you down, but I really try and refrain from the ones about your mom, because she is your mom, and I know you’ve put in so much time and effort to have a relationship with her. You forgiving her, is WHAT HEALED YOU! I know you still have pain, and these storytimes reopen wounds, but your level of self awareness and your outlook on life really is remarkable. I’m sorry that your grandmother is still stuck in her mean, toxic ways, but I give your mom grace when I think of that, because I imagine it wasn’t easy being her child.

Little Lex and big Lex you are so strong. But I wish you wouldn’t have needed to be so strong. Little Lex just needed some love and protection. The children who “act out” the most are the kids that need more love and attention. Every adult failed little Lex it enrages me how adults CANNOT treat a child like a human! Kids are not property they deserve respect ❤ You are the generational curse breaker! I just want you to know and understand how powerful that is. Your children are living a better life because of the incredible woman you are and because of the strength and awareness of little Lex ❤️
