My teenage years were a nightmare and teaching elementary school was too pretty much so it’s hard for me to not believe in the mean girls trope through and through but I’m wondering if … like I think MayaAngelou’s mom was better with her children when they were older I read… and this has me wondering if I was better with mine when they were younger in part due to a lot of as yet undiagnosed teen trauma.
