Thanks Natasha. I really believe that God is opening up the prophecies to those who have ears to hear and eyes to see. We are right down to the wire when all these things are about to happen. God in his mercy is shinning a light upon his word which is only going to get brighter as we approach nearer and nearer to the return of Jesus. Praise Him for his goodness.

God has already revealed the future to his servants the prophets we just need the Spirit of God and a willing heart to search and understand what has already been revealed in His Word.

You ask the question what about Mrs Whites quotes about her speaking on the eastern question.
Firstly Mrs White has nowhere in her writings made any statement or comment about the eastern question.
Yes she made comments endorsing other people speaking on the eastern question apparently giving sanction to their views on the subject. But we have no comments from her pen regarding anything that she herself said about the topic.
She was simply stating that the subject carried a lot of interest to the public.
She agreed with the commonly held view of most of the pioneers at that time.
You cannot go to her writings and do a search to find anything that she actually said about the subject. In the absence of direct revelation from God on any issue a prophet will have their own views and opinions on a subject which may or may not be 100 % accurate. Even prophets are entitled to hold their own opinions in the absence of direct light from God. I believe this is the case on this subject. Mrs White endorsed the eastern question as it was understood by the pioneers and the world in her day. But how it was understood at that time has now failed. It is no longer possible for the eastern question to be fulfilled as it was understood by Uriah Smith and the other pioneers.
Unfortunately in the absence of light from God on the subject Mrs White was relying on the understanding of the commonly held view of the day.
Uriah Smiths view became the dominant view on the matter of the King of the North and the eastern question but his conclusions were based upon faulty foundations. They were just his opinions but his opinions were just his own private interpretation.
The Bible, and the Bible only, gives a correct view of these things. Here are revealed the great final scenes in the history of our world, events that already are casting their shadows before, the sound of their approach causing the earth to tremble, and men's hearts to fail them for fear.-Prophets and Kings, 536, 537 (1916). Ev 194.3
Notice it says that the Bible gives the correct view of the great final scenes in the history of our world. God has held his hand over mistakes and errors in the understanding of prophecies throughout earths history. The proper understanding of Daniel 8:14 is a prime example.
The understanding of the trumpets is another. And the connection of the King of the North with endtime prophecy is also another area where God has held his hand over the real meaning of these things until the last generation that will see these things happen.
Turkey as the King of the North is based upon a misguided interpretation of Scripture by Uriah Smith. Whether deliberate or accidental, Uriah Smiths understanding of the King of the North is flawed and manufactured from current events of the day.
He actually had to change the scriptures to make it fit his theories and no one even noticed. Not even Mrs White understood the implications of this error because God has kept it hidden until now.
Notice now the faulty foundation on which Smith builds his ideas regarding who the king of the North is in his comments on Daniel 11:36.
Most people miss this and glibly gloss over it as if it is of no consequence. It was missed by Mrs White, and most of the other pioneers and everyone else right down to those that hold these views today.
Notice what he says.
1897 UrS, DAR 292.3"VERSE 36. And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished; for that that is determined shall be done." {1897
The king here introduced cannot denote the same power which was last noticed; namely, the papal power; for the specifications will not hold good if applied to that power.
Take a declaration in the next verse: "Nor regard any god." This has never been true of the papacy. God and Christ, though often placed in a false position, have never been professedly set aside and rejected from that system of religion. The only difficulty in applying it to a new power lies in the definite article the; for, it is urged, the expression "the king" would identify this as one last spoken of. If it could be properly translated a king, there would be no difficulty; and it is said that some of the best Biblical critics give it this rendering, Mede, Wintle, Boothroyd, and others translating the passage, "A certain king shall do according to his will," thus clearly introducing a new power upon the stage of action.
He is not just looking at a word in the Bible and trying to understand what it means to give greater understanding of what is being said. He is deleting it and replacing it with another word completely. Totally changing the meaning entirely.
He is taking away from the scriptures and adding something else entirely. And everyone just reads it as though, O yes Uriah Smith says it is so. It must be right because Mrs White endorsed his book so whatever he says no matter how outrageous it may be it has to be correct, right?
The other problem is you have to start changing other parts of the Bible to accommodate the changes you make, or you just simply ignore what does not fit and discourage all investigation into those parts. This seems to be what Uriah Smith has done.
By changing the word “the King” with “a king” introducing a new king in this verse, he runs into problems straight away but he just ignores them.
Verse 36 says that this king (that Uriah has now decided is Napoleon) shall prosper until the indignation is accomplished. This is a reference to the wrath of God poured out during the 7 last plagues. Isa 26:20; Isa 30:30; Jer 10:10; Nah 1:6 Revelation 14:9,10
This king in Daniel 11:36 prospers until the time of the plagues. This makes it impossible to apply it to Napoleon. But it makes perfect sense if it is applied to the Papacy.
What does Uriah Smith do? He simply ignores this and so does everyone else including those of his generation and even today.
I don’t think Uriah Smith had malicious intent and God certainly has held his hand over this mistake so that it was not discovered until now. The real understanding of Daniel 11:45 was not for their generation. But error is still error, and no amount of time can ever change it into truth.
They only prophesied in part. Revelation 10:11 says that we must prophesy again.

Paul is referring to the gifts of the Spirit. Tongues, prophecy, knowledge, and faith but they have only been given in part not in the fullness. The gift of prophecy was only given in part but when the perfect fullness of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are come then the prophesying in part will be done away. The fullness of prophetic understanding will be given.
Uriah Smith and those of his generation only prophesied in part they did not have the full understanding of prophesy that will test the last generation. According to Paul their partial understanding of prophecy will be done away. Their understanding of prophecy was needed for their generation but it was not the fullness thereof it was only a secondary understanding not the main primary understanding of prophecy.

They were in error. The pioniers did not have all the truth, truth is progressive.
Truth does not contradict what has previously been revealed in the prophetic chain.

Jake - The above definition of God’s last day church is something you really need to consider. God’s saints - his latter day people or church keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus.
Maybe it is time you compared what the Catholic Church believes about the ten commandments of God. They actually provide their own traditional version of the specific commands God gave to Moses and his people.

In the above quote from the Catechism of the Catholic Church they quote Exodus - and provide the specific details from God’s word but as we move to the Catechetical formula we find the details are lost in translation. The Deuteronomy quote which includes reference to the seventh day in verse 14 has been excluded.
Deuteronomy 5:14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
Then the final quote referencing the Catholic interpretation of the previous 2 verses - is entitled the Traditional Catechetical version of the commandment - keep holy - ‘The Lord’s Day’. The seventh day - the day God rested on after he created the world is not honoured by the Catholic Church rather they have followed the declaration of man.
What did Christ declare to his disciples about God’s commandments?
Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Joh 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
Joh 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
Joh 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
Ezekiel records abominations that are taking place in God’s church on earth in the last days:
Eze 8:15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.
Eze 8:16 And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
Eze 8:17 Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
God’s fourth commandment clearly instructs his people to keep the seventh day sabbath however here we have God’s people in the future bowing down to the ‘sun’. Sun worship is embedded in the Catholic Church and all its followers worship on the day of the sun - Sunday. The majority of Protestant churches have fallen for this lie and also worship on the day of the sun. God’s people were warned about worship of the sun, moon or stars:
Deuteronomy 4:19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
God’s ten commandments are clear and specific. The fourth commandment clearly states:
Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is a sabbath unto Jehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 for in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Jehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
God is specific! The SEVENTH DAY is the sabbath. At the conclusion of creation God rested on the SEVENTH day and BLESSED and HALLOWED the day - setting it apart from all other days of the week.
These commandments are the same as Christ honoured when on earth and stated:
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Ezekiel also records God’s response to those bowing down to worship the sun:
Eze 9:4 And Jehovah said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done in the midst thereof.
Eze 9:5 And to the others he said in my hearing, Go ye through the city after him, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity;
Eze 9:6 slay utterly the old man, the young man and the virgin, and little children and women; but come not near any man upon whom is the mark: and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the old men that were before the house.
False worship has consequences. Sin or choosing to disobey God is costly:
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The Catholic Church is misleading people and has changed the law of God. God knows there are many good people in the church that have been misled and is trying to wake them up before it is too late. Will you heed the call to those still in Babylon?
Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come forth, my people, out of her, that ye have no fellowship with her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues:
Rev 18:5 for her sins have reached even unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
